Storyline
Announcement
Time travelers from the future have taken an interest in the temporal anomaly crisis. Vosk of the Na’kuhl arrives to begin stirring up animosity between existing factions in an attempt to point history in the Na’kuhl’s favor. [1]
Prologue
- Vosk: "We have come from a future where the impudent Federation no longer exists. And we have the knowledge necessary to make your species a part of that future. Perhaps, with your cooperation, sooner rather than later."
- Mirror Ellen Landry: "He's not wrong about the impudent part. But the worst part for you all is, I can think of several factions that would likely take him up on his offer. You can't pussyfoot around this time, Captain. You'll need to use a firm hand."
- Mirror Ellen Landry: "Vosk will do whatever he has to to destroy the Federation and any other factions that could pose a problem to the Na'kuhl down the line. Force is the only diplomacy someone like Vosk understands."
- Shakaar: "The Terran's right. Your usual diplomacy won't work here. The Na'kuhl have no qualms about fighting a cold war across time and space, but we Bajorans have no qualms about rising up against those who would insist on oppressing us."
Intermission
- Vosk: "You think apprehending us is enough? Our time travel is only one-way. It's only a matter of time before we make our escape. We've come all this way, after all, and there is much left to do."
- Shakaar: "What is it people from Earth say, Captain? 'Pride before the fall?' Vosk is convinced that he and the Na'kuhl are unstoppable, but I see they have no concept of what the factions of the present can do. What do you think, Captain?"
- Choice A
- Captain: "Perhaps we should give them a demonstration."
- Vosk: "You small-minded humans, this sort of desperate posturing is why your Federation is a shell of its former self in the time I come from."
- Choice B
- Captain: "How can one make so many strides in time travel and yet only travel one way?"
- Vosk: "We have made more advancements in time travel than the factions of your era could ever imagine. Our soldiers are willing to make the sacrifice of one-way travel to secure a victory for the Na'kuhl."
- Choice C
- Captain: "What makes them think temporal agents won't undo what they've done?"
- Vosk: "Your Temporal Agents have been consistently one step behind. They're no threat to us. It's only a matter of time until the stars align in our favor."
- Mirror Ellen Landry: "I'm ready to get this bag of hot air out of here. Captain, have your crew make whatever adjustments necessary to that temporal conduit the Na'kuhl used to send them back to their own time."
Epilogue
- Vosk: "Don't pat yourself on the back too hard, Captain. The species of your time have only the most rudimentary understanding of time travel. This piece of garbage you claim to be our temporal conduit would scarcely move a being a nanosecond."
- Vosk: "It won't work. You humans lack our insight. Look at these Bajorans. In my time, they've been expunged from the galaxy. Wiped from existence. Yet here, you ascribe them so much importance. You'll soon recognize your folly."
- Mirror Ellen Landry: "They can't win a temporal cold war even with a few centuries' head start! Who cares about their pathetic threats? Well, Captain, at least that piece of junk you pulled together got them out of here, and that's all I care about."
- Shakaar: "Yes. You have a point. Bajor has faced and overcome her share of strife. There's no reason to believe we wouldn't overcome it again."
