Storyline
Announcement
With the Q missing in action and the temporal anomaly crisis raging on, scientists across the galaxy have ramped up efforts to find a solution. Their theoretical solution suddenly creates several massive distortions. Those distortions appear to have displaced several individuals in various points in the 20th and 21st centuries! It’s up to the Player to collect resources and gather further information while respecting the Temporal Prime Directive. [1]
Prologue
- Disguised Janeway: "What a relief, finally a real answer to my hails. Despite our attempts to adjust our frequencies, we keep ending up with vulgar 20th century talk radio and intercepted wireless phone calls."
- Disguised Janeway: "What are your ship's sensor readings tell you, Captain? If they're anything like ours, you've probably realized by now we're not in the 24th century anymore. According to the positioning of the stars on our end, we've reached Earth - circa 1997."
- Disguised Janeway: "We were actually departing the Sol system when we encountered some sort of anomaly. But the fact that your ship has gone back in time tells me there might be others. We should seek out anyone else who has come back in time and ensure that no possible temporal violations occur."
Intermission
- Hippie Kira: "Thank you for connecting me with everyone, Captain. Not that I don't love the whole ’peace and love' ideal of these 'hippies' on 19605 Earth, but it‘s all a |itt|e...much for my tastes."
- Disguised Janeway: "Did you say the 19605? 50 we haven't all arrived in the same time period, even though it seems we've all been sent back to either the 20th or 21st
century..."
- 2024 Picard: "From the individuals I've been able to make contact with, it appears we've landed in different years. Yet somehow, those operating on the Federation standard frequency are able to maintain contact despite years or even decades apart."
- Choice A:
- Captain: "Any leads on what exactly caused this?"
- Disguised Janeway: "I suspect it has something to do with why we were on Earth in the first place. A cadre of Federation scientists were studying our crew and several others who had arrived via temporal anomaly to see if any new information could be gained. Perhaps something in their research..."
- Choice B:
- Captain: "How is that possible?"
- 2024 Picard: "A fair question. I suspect the nature of the anomalies that brought us back through history has something to do with it, though we'll need more data to figure out what exactly."
- Choice C:
- Captain: "How is everyone adjusting?"
- Hippie Kira: "Well, I thought being on Earth in the 24th century was an adjustment but...Captain, your ancestors are strange. And do you have any idea what 'groovy' means? Or why they keep telling me I'm 'far out, man'?"
- "Dark Ages" McCoy: "Well, the sooner we get answers, the sooner we can go home. It's not that ldon't love sharing an apartment with Jim and Spock but...we||, no, I don't love it. Let's hurry up and find a way home."
Epilogue
- 2024 Picard: "Thank you for your efforts, Captain. We still have many unanswered questions, but at least we have a respectable start. Now learning to adjust once again to the 21st century on the other hand..."
