Storyline
Announcement
'Several of Mariner’s outside pursuits all seem to collide when the Cerritos is seized and a voice broadcast shipwide informs the crew that, in order to earn their freedom, they’ll have to provide entertainment to some less than reputable viewers by surviving the invasion of the ship. As the Cerritos is boarded by mysterious assailants, it’s up to you to find out what’s going on and rescue the crew of the Cerritos! [1]
Prologue
- Phased Boimler: "Hey Captain, we could really use some help over here! Someone's boarded our ship, the transporter's malfunctioning, and the computer isn't responding!"
- Lt. Shaxs: "Less chatting, more clobbering, ensign! These invaders aren't gonna subdue themselves!"
- Penk: "Hello, Cerritos crew! It appears you're enjoying my entertainment offering so far. And in turn, you will entertain my very lucrative audience, so that a certain member of your crew can pay down these debts she's accrued."
- Insubordinate Mariner: ""Look, I swear, I have no idea who that could be. Probably Ensign Jenn. Let's notwaste time pointing fingers, we've just got to take back the ship!"
Intermission
- Phased Boimler: "All right, Mariner, it's time for you to come clean! Getting creative with protocol is one thing, but we're not gonna last much longer! Give this guy what he wants so they leave us alone!"
- Insubordinate Mariner: "Okay, fine, maybe I have a few little debts. A Tear of the Prophet for a Cardassian gul, some tulaberry wine for some Andorian merchants...Earth for the Breen...that thing for Khan..."
- Phased Boimler: "Those aren't little debts!! The entire planet Earth!? ...Captain, what are we gonna do about this!?"
- Choice A:
- Captain: "Maybe we offer them something else?"
- Insubordinate Mariner: "No can do. These were 'no substitutions' kinds of deals."
- Choice B:
- Captain: "What have they already paid you, Mariner?"
- Insubordinate Mariner: "...I'm afraid I can't discuss payment with third parties."
- Choice C:
- Captain: "How much were the Breen offering for Earth?"
- Phased Boimler: "You're really not helping."
- Penk: "Time is not on your side, Cerritos crew. You can hand over what you owe...or pay with your lives!"
Epilogue
- Insubordinate Mariner: "See, Boimler? We actually solved some other problems. And the Breen didn't end up with the Earth. Think you can finally admit there might be some good in the way I do things?"
- Phased Boimler: "Maybe, but do you think the way you do things from now on could involve less life-threatening situations?"
- Lt. Shaxs: "What're you talking about, ensign? That was a damned good time! Let's do it again soon!"
