Feelings on Elpis V and its fantasies sour following the incident with the hologram. Many have begun to question the price paid for these fantasies or how they are actually crafted. It's time to awaken the galaxy to the truth of Elpis V!

This event offered a Special Pack with a guaranteed drop of event featured crew if you spend 650

Storyline
Announcement
Attention returns to the planet and how its elaborate fantasies are constructed. However, the answer to that question may not be as cut and dry as expected. [1]
Prologue
- First Contact Barclay : "A world where fantasies become reality? Sounds like somewhere I'd like to visit. But if manifesting those fantasies means treating holograms as if they're disposable... maybe it's a darker place than we'd like to imagine."
- Holo-Engineer Zimmerman: "Though I don't know that your sympathy is entirely warranted, it certainly seems there's more to Elpis V than the carefree image they wish to project."
- Donik: "Curious, too, is how they manage it all. Planet-wide holo emitters? Some sort of photonic field? I'm certainly curious. And I'm sure you are too, aren't you, Captain? Let us know what you learn."
Intermission
- Holo-Engineer Zimmerman: "That was an...interesting choice of fantasy, Captain. Let no one say you lack imagination."
- Donik: "Speaking of imagination, you managed to bring back some fascinating data, Captain. How curious that the fantasies are all originating from a machine built to bring dreams to reality."
- First Contact Barclay: "It at least makes more sense than the manipulative Q benevolently granting wishes. But a dream machine? Who built it? The idea of a machine just crafted to grant wishes is both enticing and concerning."
- Choice A:
- Captain: "A machine that fulfills fantasy? But how? Who controls it?"
- Donik: "Good questions that I too would like the answers to. How many interesting answers could the origin of that machine yield? Perhaps we might find a way to design a machine of our own."
- Choice B:
- Captain: "I can think of a few factions I don't want getting their hands on that machine."
- Donik: "I trust you aren't referring to us, of course. But yes. I for example would prefer that Species 8472 not come into possession of the machine."
- Choice C:
- Captain: "We could all use a miracle."
- First Contact Barclay: "Maybe. But what's the cost here? Of anyone, maybe it's ironic for me to be saying this. But I know that dreams and fantasies aren't just granted out of thin air. What does the one who runs this machine want?"
- First Contact Barclay : "It's time to stop operating in the realm of fantasy ourselves. Let's find out what's going on here."
Epilogue
- Holo-Engineer Zimmerman: "Well Captain, you manged to pull it off somehow. Good work and all that. But this dream machine? That's the real wonder here! A sentient machine capable of tuning into the desires of others and then making them reality! Fascinating. "
