Storyline
Human Q, fed up with what he perceives as life as a limited being, has declared it is pointless for the Federation to try to resolve the temporal anomaly crisis. Even his counterpart who still has his powers can’t figure things out, so what chance do humans—the equivalent of sea sponges to a Q—have? Can’t win, why bother?
Instead, Q suggests Federation citizens abandon their lofty ideals and complex societies and engage in what their species are best at: indulging their baser instincts. He has invited any and all who wish to abandon their posts to join his hedonistic party (sponsored by the Ferengi) and many weary citizens and even Starfleet officers have answered his call.
