Announcement
The U.S.S. Shenzhou has arrived in the 24th Century with a bang: it appears to be enveloped in a new form of temporal anomaly which can travel with the ship. As the Shenzhou moves across the Alpha Quadrant, it leaves a trail of disrupted chronitons and displaced people behind it, bringing fresh chaos to the galaxy the Player has been working so hard to keep intact. Authorities have found the Shenzhou non-responsive to contact, and are concerned something terrible has happened. It’s up you to chase down the Shenzhou, determine the fate of her crew, and stop the new wave of unintended destruction to the timeline. [1]
Prologue
- Captain Janeway: "Incredible. Starfleet's just received word that the USS Shenzhou has been spotted at the edge of this sector. I remember hearing about its voyages at Starfleet Academy. A damn fine ship, with a remarkable crew."
- Captain Janeway: "Under other circumstances, I'd be happy to meet them, but right now, the Shenzhou is a threat to all of us. A temporal anomaly like nothing we've ever seen before has swallowed the ship, trailing it across the quadrant."
- Captain Archer: "The crew hasn't responded to any of our hails. We don't know whether they brought that anomaly here on purpose or whether they're in danger like the rest of us, but unless we can stop their ship, the temporal displacement in its wake could tear this timeline apart."
Intermezzo
- Captain Janeway: "We've finally made contact with the Shenzhou. The good news is the crew is still alive. Captain Georgiou reported a few injuries, but nothing life-threatening. The bad news is she says the anomaly is somehow connected to the ship's warp core, feeding off of its energy."
- Captain Archer: "They've managed to slow to impulse, but the anomaly has created a power feedback loop that won't let them shut down the warp core. All this destruction was clearly unintentional, but that doesn't make the anomaly any less deadly."
- choice A
- Captain: "Does Captain Georgiou have any idea how the anomaly formed?"
- Captain Archer: "It sounds like the Shenzhou was brought here without any warning--I know what that feels like. It's a shame we couldn't give them a better welcome. The way things are going, this voyage might be their last."
- choice B
- Captain: "Is there any way for them to leave the Shenzhou?"
- Captain Janeway: "At impulse, under ordinary circumstances, of course. But getting through an anomaly that unpredictable is a gamble, unless we can lend them a hand."
- choice C
- Captain: "If they put many more lives at risk, we may have to destroy the Shenzhou."
- Captain Archer: "You're right. If all else fails, it's an option we can't afford to ignore, but I'm not giving up on our people just yet."
- Captain Janeway: "As long as the Shenzhou's warp core is online, that anomaly stays open. We need a team to navigate through it and try to get the crew to safety. Once they're out of harm's way, we'll close the anomaly, no matter what it takes."
Epilogue
- Captain Philippa Georgiou: "Thank you for closing the anomaly, Captain. Even after all the chaos the Shenzhou has caused here, you still risked your life to save my crew. We are in your debt. I won't forget that."
- First Officer Michael Burnham: "It's good to see you again, Captain Georgiou. I wish I could tell you how we both got here--how all these anomalies came to be--but that's a mystery Starfleet is still trying to solve."
- Captain Archer: "I can promise you this about the 24th Century: it's an interesting time to live in, even if it does take some getting used to. I'm just sorry you had such a rough journey here. You must have an awful lot of questions--I'll do my best to find you some answers."
