Storyline
Announcement
With the sudden displacement still unresolved, many are feeling lonely and missing loved ones. And according to Quark, where there's loneliness, there’s profit! But Quark isn’t the only one beginning a delivery venture. Help him connect lonely hearts all across the galaxy! [1]
Prologue
- Graduation Amanda Grayson: "Captain, I hear you've been in contact with my son. I hope that you might be able to help me with something. I am used to Spock being far away, but I have always been able to at least contact him. Perhaps it is a human weakness of mine, but I miss him."
- Angel Gabrielle Burnham: "That is not weakness. That is love. The same love you showed our Michael. And I understand how you feel. It's strange how we've spent so much of our lives light years apart, but the loneliness is so much more intense without the ability to contact each other remotely."
- Bartender Quark: "Loneliness, you say? Well, you're in luck. With the opp--I mean, the tragedy of the galactic displacement, I'm launching my newest venture. Quark's Delivery Service! Track down your loved ones and show them you care with stuff! Delivery fee is only one bar of latinum!"
- Mike Burnham Sr.: "Your delivery fee is a bit high, and more importantly, with all the navigation and comm systems still being down, how will you find anyone? Maybe if you ask nicely, the Captain here could lend you a hand?"
Intermission
- Bartender Quark: "Well, Captain, I appreciate you doing the leg work for me. Now that the business is set up and ready to go, we just have to let the latinum roll in."
- Mike Burnham Sr.: "I wouldn't get too comfortable, Quark. 've heard the Duras Sisters liked your idea so much, they decided to start their own little venture. And seeing as they aren't bound to strictly legal means of operation, you could be looking at some stiff competition."
- Graduation Amanda Grayson: "I was also approached by someone claiming to work for another Ferengi starting their own business that sounded suspiciously like yours, Quark. I told them that I had already placed an order with you, but I thought you should know."
- Choice A:
- Captain: "It's odd to hear the Duras Sisters interested in something this sentimental."
- Bartender Quark: "Eh, some KLingons'll do anything for a buck. Clearly they lack the care and sensitivity my altruistic venture has."
- Choice B:
- Captain: "I wouldn't worry too much, Quark. You ve got a pretty solid team."
- Bartender Quark: "If you do say so yourself, hm? I can't exactly argue with you though. I suppose I just need to be confident to my business acumen, it's gotten this far."
- Choice C:
- Captain: "More services like yours increases the possibility the lost will be reconnected."
- Bartender Quark: "And the possibility that my customer pool will dry up quicker than you can say Grand Nagus. I mean, that's nice and all, but I'm trying to run a business here and the exclusivity of my product is a major selling point."
- Bartender Quark: "At the end of the day, Captain, we -- I mean you — are going to have to work overtime to outsell the competition. So get out there and make our customers happy!"
Epilogue
- Bartender Quark: "Captain, good to hear from you! Done with all your deliveries? Well, get this, I just got done talking with Grand Nagus Zek. 100 bars of latinum for a gift for Moogie! ..if only he hadn't insisted on sending her clothes."
