New Providers is a Galaxy Event which will run from 12:00 PM ET (16:00 UTC) Thursday, August 2, 2018 through 12:00 PM ET (16:00 UTC) Monday, August 6, 2018.
For the second phase of the event, the Federation, Dominion , and Ferengi Traditionalists will the competing against each other.
This event offers a Special Pack that has a guaranteed drop of event featured crew if you spend 650 
on the 10-pack pull.
New Providers is the first of 4 events in the Mega Event The Hand That Feeds!.

Event Rewards
There are 4 sets of rewards given in the event.
- Solo Ranked Rewards which are given at the end of the event based on your rank in the overall event. These are the top-tier prizes.
- Solo Threshold Rewards which are acquired at each level of displayed Victory Points

Storyline
Announcement
The Jem’Hadar have left the Dominion! This shocking development is revealed when the Founders contact the Federation in need of help. The Jem’Hadar, whom they had relied upon for protection, have simply abandoned their posts en masse, leaving the rest of the Dominion stranded or otherwise endangered across the galaxy. In the interests of diplomacy, the Federation concedes to help, but once the Founders are safe, they share their suspicions that the Jem’Hadar have fallen under the sway of a new master, one from a race the Dominion relied upon to manufacture much of the ketracel-white the Jem’Hadar need to survive: Ru’afo! Can you find proof that Ru’afo and the Son’a are behind this? [1]
Prologue
- Diseased Changeling Founder: "I never thought it was possible, but the Jem'Hadar have abandoned us. And with their dereliction, many of the Founders are left, weak and abandoned. Though it is counterintuitive, we have no choice but to reach out to you...."
- Alternate Future Jadzia Dax: "Regardless of our past with the Dominion, the Federation will not abandon you. It runs counter to everything we stand for to leave you like this. We will help you find and recover the others stranded throughout the Alpha Quadrant."
- Diseased Changeling Founder: "I am grateful. But I am still so shocked. The Jem'Hadar rightly view us as gods. To lose the faith, after all these years... who has such powers of persuasion?"
- Alternate Future Jadzia Dax: "We'll worry about that later. Captain, I'll take care of the ailing Founder here. I'm counting on you and your crew to find the others."
Intermission
- Alternate Future Jadzia Dax: "Reports are coming in that the Jem'Hadar have sided with Ru'afo and his people, the Son'a. The Son'aa produced a good portion of the Dominion's ketracel-white supply. We're now wondering if it was tainted in some way--"
- Diseased Changeling Founder: "It is not a matter the Federation need concern themselves with. Now that we know who is responsible, we will handle it ourselves. We no longer require the assistance of you solids."
- Diseased Changeling Founder: "I don't remember seeing a lot of Changelings on the battlefield during the war. You needed the Jem'Hadar, and now they're gone. Whether you're out to get them back or punish them, you'll never be able to do it alone."
- Kazon Seska: "The Kazon have been contracting themselves to the Ferengi, but to be honest, they're no picnic to work for. For the right price, the Dominion get all the Kazon have to offer without dealing with little things like someone else's morals."
- Choice A
- Captain: "Founder, you should let the Federation help. Haven't we proven ourselves already?"
- Diseased Changeling Founder: "I wouldn't consider one action 'proving yourselves.' Still, we are in no position to be so stubborn. Without the Jem'Hadar, we could use any help we can get."
- Choice B
- Captain: "The Founder is right. This is a Dominion matter."
- Diseased Changeling Founder: "I appreciate your respect for our privacy and autonomy."
- Choice C
- Captain: "Seska may be on to something, the Kazon may be our best bet."
- Kazon Seska: "I believe enlisting the Kazon is the best way to satisfy everyone involved."
- Alternate Future Jadzia Dax: "If nothing else, I think we're all in agreement that things can't be left the way they are. We need to confirm what's going on and then try to persuade the Jem'Hadar to return to the Dominion. Who knows what Ru'afo will use them for?"
Epilogue
- Alternate Future Jadzia Dax: "Captain, we've confirmed that the Jem'Hadar are with Ru'afo and the Son'a. He who controls the ketracel-white controls the Jem'Hadar, it seems. Stirring up some resentment against the Founders doesn't hurt either."
- Alternate Future Jadzia Dax: "What's worse, there are many within the Federation who have noted how weak this makes the Dominion and who say this is the perfect chance to do away with the Founders once and for all. To me, that seems foolish. The Son'a are obviously the bigger threat right now."
- Ru'afo: "This is a message to all Jem'Hadar within the Alpha and Gamma Quadrants. For those who believe the Federation will treat them with any more equality than the Dominion did, I advise you to prepare for disappointment."
- Ru'afo: "In spite of how high and mighty they act, they are honestly no better. But if you join us, not only will we provide you all the ketracel-white you need, but you will also experience glory and the respect you deserve."
