The Balance of Fortune was a Faction Event beginning Thursday, January 3, 2024 and ending Monday, January 7, 2024. Players could complete shuttle missions for the Augments, Klingon Empire and Romulan Star Empire.
This event offered a Special Pack that had a guaranteed drop of event featured crew if you spend 650 
on the 10-pack pull.
The Balance of Fortune was the last of four events in the Explorer Mega-Event Strange Times.

- Lt. Commander Spock: "Evacuees from Romulus petitioned the courts to be allowed to settle Ni'Var, currently Vulcan. When the decision reached wasn't in their favor, they decided to take matters into their own hands. And they won't stop with Vulcan."
- Uhura in Visions: "They've already made an appearance on Khitomer. The Klingons aren't happy, to say the least. I used to think petaQ was the pinnacle of Klingon expletives, but I've learned more new vocabulary listening to their exchanges than anywhere else."
- Quality of Mercy Chapel: "I wouldn't mind learning some of those terms myself. I'm dealing with a holographic rebellion and the amount of injuries we're seeing is overwhelming."
