Edward Larkin is at it again, this time claiming that tribbles--yes, tribbles--are the solution to the temporal anomaly crisis. Can you capture Larkin and get him the help he clearly needs?
Details
The Mad Lieutenant was a Faction Event beginning Thursday, August 5, 2021 and ending Monday, August 9, 2021. Players could complete shuttle missions for the Ferengi Traditionalists, Hirogen or the Klingon Empire. These missions will drop Victory Points, which unlock Threshold Rewards.
This event offered a Special Pack that had a guaranteed drop of event featured crew if you spend 650 
on the 10-pack pull.
The Mad Lieutenant is the first of 4 events in the Mega Event Tribble Quibbles.

Storyline
Announcement
Another version of Edward Larkin is again trying to promote tribbles as the solution to all of the galaxy’s problems--specifically, the temporal anomaly crisis. Kirk and Lucero aren’t entirely certain what Larkin plans to do, but McCoy has already had him declared insane and unfit for duty, so it’s just a matter of capturing him and his mountain of tribbles before he can act.[1]
Prologue
- Underwear Larkin: "Don't you see? The answer's been in front of us all along! It's tribbles! The mighty tribble is the creature that can save us all from this madness. The tribble can end the temporal anomaly crisis! No need to thank me--or, at least, wait until we're done."
- Tribble McCoy: "The man's beyond delusional. He's a downright psychotic menace. Certifiable, and I should know--I signed the certificate for his placement in a mental health facility."
- Captain Lucero: "I wish I didn't still feel Edward was my responsibility... but he was once part of my crew, so I do. I'll do everything I can to help catch him before he does... whatever he's planning to do, but he's wily. We could use your help, Captain."
Epilogue
- Underwear Larkin: "It doesn't matter! I'm nothing! We're all nothing! The tribble is stronger, smarter, faster than all of us! The tribble is the future! The tribble is EVERYTHING!"
- Tribble McCoy: "How in blazes did that man make lieutenant? How did he even get into Starfleet Academy?"
- Captain Lucero: "Believe me, Doctor, we're conducting several thorough reviews to determine the answers to those questions. Again, I'm so sorry, Captain. At best we stopped Larkin before he could act, and now he can get the help he desperately needs...."
