Announcement
Starfleet Academy is reevaluating its physical education curriculum and trying to select one combat art all cadets must train in. As cadets from new worlds have continued to enroll, the pool of possible arts has continued to expand. During this reevaluation period, a group of cadets get in a fight with a group of Cardassians while on an excursion and concern begins to spread regarding the caliber of future Starfleet personnel. As an esteemed Academy alumni, you are asked to help mold the future of Starfleet, in curriculum and character!
Prologue
- Mok'bara Sito Jaxa: "Thanks for joining us, Captain. The Academy's rethinking their training curriculum for martial arts and we wanted to get your input. Is there anything you would have changed in your Academy days?"
- Anbo-jyutsu Riker: "Thinking back on my Academy days, there's plenty I'd change, but I couldn't discuss any of that on an open comm channel. I'm sure the cadets who decided to try out some of the fighting techniques they learned in a brawl with some Cardassians will look back in shame someday too."
- Anbo-jyutsu Riker: "Though to be fair, it's the sort of stupid thing I would have done too. You're young, you feel like you can take on the galaxy, right up until you're on the wrong side of a phaser or on your back in sickbay after someone broke a mug of Romulan ale against the side of your head."
- Mok'bara Worf: "It's the sort of thing that will get them killed, Commander. Those cadets have inflated egos and yet no sense of the way things truly are. What do you think, Captain?"
Epilogue
- Mok'bara Sito Jaxa: "This is all really helpful, Captain. No matter how invincible the Augments try to present themselves, it's clear they put a lot of effort into training their bodies and minds. Your own training regimen is commendable as well. Great for health and self—defense."
- Anbo-jyutsu Riker: "It's not bad for stopping a bar brawl or two either."
- Mok'bara Worf: "I'm afraid your priorities leave much to be desired in the role model department, Commander."
