Prologue

• La'an Noonien Singh: "Thank you for answering my hails, Captain. I've been assisting with security on our newly negotiated trade route along the border of the quadrant. Everything was going fine until space pirates began attacking and plundering vessels along the route."
• Delta Flyer Kim: "Pirates, huh? Are we talking pirates like the Orion or Nausicaan variety, or the swashbuckling, Treasure Island holonovel variety?"
• La'an Noonien Singh: "I'd be careful about taking the Serene Squall lightly. Our first encounter with them was bad enough, but now it seems they've upped their game. Whole crews are going missing. Those that don't tend to report some of their people or items missing."
• Delta Flyer Kim: "Speak of the devil, I'm getting more reports of another Serene Squall attack. Captain, let's see what you can do!"

Intermission

• Captain Angel: "Now, why would the Federation put all this effort into sending one of its most decorated captains after a little old ship like the Serene Squall? And after we've taken on such an altruistic cause."
• La'an Noonien Singh: "Well, I see you're just as capable a liar as ever. Your ship has been spotted fleeing the scene of several attacks on ships along the new trade route. Care to explain what's altruistic about that?"
• Sybok: "Fleeing? Attacks? You have us all wrong. The Galactic Marauders of Light merely seek to sail the stars and alleviate the pain of those suffering the greatest hurt across the galaxy."

  • Sybok: "A new group dedicated to illuminating the galaxy. With Angel's reach and intellect, and my abilities, we seek to start a new era of empathy and enlightenment."

• Delta Flyer Kim: "Angel really is as impressive as any legendary pirate. The two of them might have given us the slip, but the rest of the crew has surrendered. Nice work, Captain."
• La'an Noonien Singh: "They'll be back. And we can expect them to have a brand new crew. Between the two of them, they have enough charisma to reignite a dying star."
