Storyline
Announcement
A ship bound for a Starfleet function suddenly goes missing. Can you save the big day?[1]
Prologue
- Birthday Cake Reed: "Captain, I apologize, I know I look rather...strange right now. My crewmates and l have been split up on various missions and yet Hoshi still insisted on throwing me a belated birthday party. But, uhm, I suppose that‘s not what's important right now."
- Birthday Cake Reed: "I know you're likely on the way to Starfleet's Convergence Day celebration, but I must advise against it. Stolen ships resembling prominent Starfleet vessels have been attacking those bound for the event and we can't seem to get through to the bridges of the ships."
- Dress Uniform La Forge: "One of the few times being late has been to my advantage. But it's so strange. Many of the stolen ships seem to have had some adjustments made to them. It makes me wonder who could be behind this."
- Dress Uniform Data: "We have been evaluating the possible culprits. But of course, we could gather a great deal more information if you managed to disable and return the stolen ships, Captain."
Intermission
- Dress Uniform La Forge: "Nicely done, Captain! You managed to thin out their numbers to a manageable degree at least."
- Dress Uniform Data: "Still, we are no closer to verifying the identity of the thieves. The ships we have managed to recover were empty when we brought them in. All we know is that adjustments are being made to the ships to make it easier to add or remove components."
- Choice A
- Captain: "Add components? Why would they steal shipsjust to
- Birthday Cake Reed: "l was wondering the same thing. But then it occurred to me. Perhaps what they want is the facade of a Starfleet ship in order to gain trust. After all, it worked here. But then they intend to surprise their victims with unexpected firepower."
- Choice B
- Captain: improve them?"
- Dress Uniform Data: "My thoughts precisely, Captain. Still, it is odd that they would steal a ship for its parts, only to return with it. Could they be after something of greater value?"
- Choice C
- Captain: "So...Pakleds?"
- Dress Uniform La Forge: "The thought had crossed my mind, but I sure hope not. Do you have any idea what a nightmare it was detaching the Enterprise from the Franken—ship they chose to make last time?!"
- Captain Angel: "God, I can't sit here and listen to you idiots miss the forest for the trees anymore. I'm right here, Captain. Come get your ships back if you think you can."
Epilogue
- Captain Angel: "So you've got some bite, I see, Captain. Not bad. I'll leave you the Titan, but I wouldn't count on it for long. I was only the welcome wagon for this little shindig we have planned. I hope you enjoyed a taste of what we have in store."
