Storyline
Announcement
Despite being granted refuge on Vulcan, Croden is accused of stealing a starship and attacking Jem'Hadar vessels within the Gamma Quadrant. Retrieve the starship, rescue its crew, and stop Croden’s self-destructive spiral!
Prologue
- Commander T'Pol: "Captain, we require your assistance on a matter that has quickly escalated. Croden, a Rakhari who was granted asylum on Vulcan with his daughter, has stolen a docked Akira-class vessel and fled, the ship's crew still aboard."
- Ixtana'Rax: "This wouldn't be the same Akira-class vessel currently blasting its way across the Gamma Quadrant, would it? If your Starfleet wants this man or this ship back, I suggest you apprehend him first. The Rakhari will compensate us handsomely for handing over that fugitive."
- Constable Odo: "As much as it pains me, Captain, I'm afraid we have no choice but to resolve this manner quickly and by any means necessary. Croden has made his choice, but that ship's crew is innocent. Bring the ship back in one piece."
Intermission
- Ixtana'Rex: "You must take me for a fool, Captain. How can you be so soft on this Rakhari? What if he has slain this ship's crew?"
- Croden: "How dare you! I would do no such thing. You have no room to speak of such treachery when you launched your own cowardly attack on Rakhar. Regardless of the shape the Dominion War left you in, what is to be gained from ravaging worlds within the Gamma Quadrant?"
- Choice A:
- Captain: "what happened to Rakhar?"
- Croden: "The Jem'Hadar attacked. I've heard several possible motives, but have been unable to confirm any. That is why I have to go. I have to help."
- Choice B:
- Captain: "You still remain loyal to Rakhar after what they did to you?"
- Croden: "The Rakhari government is oppressive beyond compare. They destroyed my life. But Rakhar is more than its government. It is my homeworld. There are still so many innocent Rakhari there that don't deserve to suffer, at the hands of the government or the Jem'Hadar."
- Choice C:
- Captain: "None of this justifies stealing a Starfleet vessel and kidnapping her crew." [Go to T'Pol's reply below]
- Commander T'Pol: "Regardless of your reasons, your actions are a grievous violation of Federation law, which you agreed to abide by when you petitioned for asylum on Vulcan. Captain, please help us recover Croden, the vessel, and her crew."
Epilogue
- Croden: "Captain, I cannot ask you to forgive me, but I am truly sorry. As much pain as its government caused me, Rakhar itself is still my homeworld. I couldn't simply abide its destruction. I accept whatever punishment is deemed necessary. Please, just take care of Yareth."
