Crew Retrieval
Crew Retrieval is way of obtaining new or duplicate crew from polestars, quantum and credits.
Only crew in the Portal can be retrieved. Voyage, Gauntlet, Honor Hall and Achievement crew will are unavailable, as well as recent crew not yet added to the portal.
Constellations
Constellations are obtained Scanning and as Event rewards. Opening a constellation costs 1000
, and will award one polestar. There are three types of constellation:
- Crew constellations. This are named after one specific crew. Opening a crew constellation will award one trait polestar from that crew member. These are the only type of constellation obtained from Scanning.
- Skill constellations. Opening a skill constellation will award one of the following polestars. Security, Command, Diplomacy, Engineering, Science or Medicine. Skill constellations are awarded to players ranking in the top 250 in Events.
- Rarity constellations. Opening a rarity constellation will award one of the following polestars. Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare or Legendary. Rarity constellations are awarded to players ranking in the top 1000 in Events.
Polestars
Polestars have either a trait, skill or rarity. Polestars are used to create a pool of crew matching the polestars. A combination of between one and four polestars is used for each retrieval.
e.g. Using only the Borg polestar will produce a pool of at least 25 crew. Combining this with either an Interrogator or Survivalist polestar will result in only the Borg Queen being available.
Quantum
Quantum, along with credits, is used to retrieve crew.
Quantum regenerates at one Quantum per 30 minutes, or 48 Quanta per day. Quantum is capped at 1000.
If not enough Quantum is available, it can be topped up by spending Dilithium
Cost
Each retrieval costs both Quantum and credits. The cost of each retrieval depends upon the rarity and the total number of crew in the pool.
