Rarity is a general indicator of quality on crew and items. As rarity increases the crew or items becomes more powerful, but it also gets more expensive to either acquire and/or upgrade. Rarity is indicated in the game by text (Rare), number of stars (), and color.

Where Rarity Applies
Not all Rarity levels apply to every Item or Crew member, the table below indicates the possible rarity for each of them.
