A Web of Lies was a Skirmish Event beginning 12:00 PM ET (17:00 UTC) Thursday, June 18, 2020 and ending 12:00 PM ET (17:00 UTC) Monday, June 22, 2020. Players completed groups of Space Battles to receive Victory Points, which unlocked Threshold Rewards.

This event offered a Special Pack that had a guaranteed drop of event featured crew if you spend 650 on the 10-pack pull.

A Web of Lies is the first of 4 events in the Mega Event Ripples and Waves.

Storyline

Announcement

Flash! You suddenly find yourself inside a Tholian web! You are quickly commed by Dahj, who reveals that you are in a horrific future where the Tholian Assembly is locked at war with the Federation… and the Federation is losing badly!

Prologue

• Dahj: "Watch out! That Tholian ship in front of you, it's about to form the--"
• Tholian Prisoner: "Omnitriangulation of three-hundredth fifty-seventh sector complete. One new ship estimated to be captured. Surrender is an unnecessary redundancy."
• Dahj: "Go to hell! Listen, I don't know how you got here or where you're from, but you're about to be caught in a Tholian web with the last of Starfleet. Help us find a way out of this!"

Intermission

• Kestra Troi-Riker: "Construction of the web's stopped. I think we're safe, for a while."
• Dahj: "Thank you, Captain. That's the first lull we've had in days. This war with the Tholians has been bloody and was about to be very short--with us on the losing side."
• Choice A:
  • Captain: "We've never been at war with the Tholians! Is this the future?" [Go to Dahj's replies at end]
• Choice B:
  • Captain: "What is a child doing on a Starfleet ship?"
  • Kestra Troi-Riker: "I'm not a child. No one in the Federation has that luxury anymore."
• Choice C:
  • Captain: "Sounds like Kes was right about Suspiria...."
  • Kestra Troi-Riker: "Who's Suspiria? I've never heard of her. Is she a Tholian?"
• Dahj: "Your ship is an older model. The chronitons around it don't match up with ours. That suggests to me that you ARE from the past--before this war began."
• Dahj: "We don't know why the Tholian Assembly declared war on the Federation. All we know is that when they did, they had more ships and firepower than we could match. The ships trapped in this web are all that's left. We have to break it if we're going to have any hope of victory."

Epilogue

• Kestra Troi-Riker: "The web's been broken! Dahj, you have to beam back. The Captain's chroniton readings are going crazy...."
• Dahj: "I think you're about to go somewhere else... hopefully back before any of this happened, and not long after we're gone."
• Dahj: "You've given us a fighting chance against the Tholians. We won't let it go to waste. I hope we see you again soon, Captain...."
