On the Loot tables can we add a coloumn that shows average number per run? This would be helpful for deciding which missions to warp, as #/run is more important that #/Chronos. 01/04/2017
- I disagree, besides the massive undertaking to change every drop test page, its an entirely useless change. Crons/item is basically the same thing.--Titantalk 20:17, 4 January 2017 (CST)
Administrator/Bureaucrat Situation
So, we have a slight issue right now with inactive leadership here.
MilkN2Sugars (talk | Contributions) has been inactive since April 18th, 2016.
Jello (talk | Contributions) has been inactive since September 18th, 2016.
Does anyone know how we can resolve this issue? Currently we are unable to delete pages, or do other things that only Administrators and/or Bureaucrats can do. --Titantalk 13:27, 12 November 2016 (CST)
- Hiho. I would be willing to take Jello's job, as you suggested on my page. I contacted MilkN2Sugars on his page and per email, and am now waiting for an answer. Cheers! --Crunch (talk) 15:21, 12 November 2016 (CST)
- Yeah, i kinda thought you'd be the one for the job, considering your basically running the wiki. Id also be happy to help with the deletion of pages (when needed), if you need help. The issue is how do we get a new Administrator/Bureaucrat if milk doesn't respond. --Titantalk 15:28, 12 November 2016 (CST)
- We clearly need a few admins fast. There are problems with spam attacks and we need to be able to block those users. I would suggest a few admins so we do not find ourselves in another void as now. Otto VonBacon (talk) 14:53, 8 December 2016 (CST)
- I haven't noticed any spam attacks. Hopefully we're considered too "small time" to be a target, though a spambot won't make that distinction. Anyhow, has there been any progress towards these ends? I don't like not having a bureaucrat and besides, I could think of a bunch of tasks I could assign to a bot, but there's nobody who can give me one. --Darxide (talk) 20:53, 11 December 2016 (CST)
- There's been some discussion, over on the forums (starting around here), but no news that's really helpful. MilkN2Sugars hosts the Wiki, and can't be reached by any means. He hasn't been active on the forums or Wiki since April. Jello is the only other Admin, and is likewise AWOL (though they have been on the Wiki at least once since this discussion started – Dr._Richard_Daystrom. Without Milk, no new Admins can be created. Since he's also the one who hosts the site, that's a little worrying for the future of the Wiki, if he's disappeared for good. -- Azkar (talk) 21:29, 11 December 2016 (CST)
I haven't played since my tablet died but I did notice your admins have disappeared. I just wanted to point out that MilkN2Sugar's twitter page is ThomasMNS according to his blog. If you're unable to hail him in the wiki, you may have better luck through those two pages. Good luck getting admin. – CodeHydro (msg) 12:45, 12 January 2017 (CST)
Crew Heads: Vault, Stars, and Transparency
We have the old, inconsistent crew heads with various borders and resolutions, we have high-res versions with transparent backgrounds (probably based on the original artwork?), and now we also have the vault images.
Which one is best? Feel free to join the discussion here: Talk:Crew#Replacing hires crew images? --Crunch (talk) 17:45, 6 December 2016 (CST)
ToDo
can someone fix this? Terran_Empire_Honors The table is goofed Happy fun ball (talk) 21:16, 18 January 2017 (CST)
Little detail, i was going to try to fix, but was unsure how to. So i thought i would ask someone here to look into it, the Main Page has a little inaccurate detail. At Ships you can use, it claims 27 in white brackets, (and at the bottom of the page at the link there to the ship page) But there is only 24 in the game. Thanks. My "Real-Time" Crew???
Hello Not sure if I'm in the right place; first time poster. I'm looking for a way to see my up-to-date crew so that I can make efficient decisions on accepting or dismissing crew members. This will come in handy when a "Behold" is presented and one must pick between 3 crew members. I have scanned some wiki pages related to crew and crew templates , but they seem to be manually created. What I'm looking for is a way to obtain my crew list with all status information (# of stars, level, etc.) from the game's database. Afterall, we all have a database ID (DBID), don't we? Is there a way to run this type of active query? Thank you CharlieCharlie tirado (talk) 03:49, 10 February 2017 (CST)
- I don't know of a way to connect to Disruptor Beam's database. If I did, this wiki would be 100% filled out, just sayin'--Siguard (talk) 17:26, 12 February 2017 (CST)
Moving to a new wiki
Hey everyone,
What is everyone's opinion of the possibility of moving to a new wiki? Specifically, stt.wikia.com. This would eliminate the issues of not having Admins or Bureaucrats on this wiki, as fandom support can help make a few of us admins/Bureaucrats on that site. We also would never have this issue again as Fandom support can make new Admins/Bureaucrats at anytime. If we were to want to do so, once I or someone else has admin/Bureaucrat on that site, we can do a full XML dump of this wiki over there, which will copy everything from images/templates/pages/etc. --Titantalk 09:40, 19 January 2017 (CST)
- Hello, while I don't have any edits here, I am a daily player and reference this wiki often. I am also on the Fandom Community team (User:BertH) and so I am happy to be a point of contact for you if you have any questions. The content here is outstanding and I know we'll be excited to have this on Fandom. I want to point out that the XML will not include the images. You should copy the images directory somewhere and/or archive it (as a ZIP file, perhaps). And then we can import that to Fandom. Titan, I'll reach out to you on your stt.wikia talk page as well. -Madame Guinan (talk) 16:46, 31 January 2017 (CST)
- I have been in contact with Gamepedia and they are going to start the process of setting up a new wiki over there for us. They will do a SQL dump to transfer everything here over there. Once they finish that, i will add Template: movingWikiToGamepedia template to the top of the majority of the high traffic pages here. (This will be after they transfer, so the changes are not transferred). Please message me on my talk page if you have any questions. --Titantalk 17:15, 15 February 2017 (CST)
Crew categories not working right on new wiki
I noticed the category for Super Rare crew seemed to be missing a large number of pages, but the crew exist if i search for them manually. A good example is Captain John Harriman (Captain_John_Harriman), who doesn't show up under Crew: Category:Crew or Crew -> Super Rare: Category:Super_Rare I can make a complete list of ones that aren't rolling into their categories properly, but it might be something that's just weird with the transition to the new wikia.
- The MediaWiki software takes awhile to update all categories. They should be all working in the next day or two. If it doesn't, making a pointless edit to the affected crew pages (adding a space or something) will force the page to be purged and fix the issue. The issue should auto-correct itself though. DropTests and 1.8.0 adjustments
Hi y'all! As DB modified several missions by changing the items being dropped, or possibly adjusting only the drop rates, I created a new tag that should be added to each modified DropTest in the "note" section. The new tag is called |dropAdjustMar17
, see Template:DropTest/doc#Standardized disclosures.
Adding that tag will also place these DropTest into Category:Drop Rate Adjust Mar 17, for review and easy access.
If you modify a DropTest due to the 1.8.0 changes, or find one that was modified, but which doesn't have the tag yet, please add it. --Crunch (talk) 20:08, 17 March 2017 (CDT)
