Storyline
Announcement
Mirror Beverly Crusher is seeking asylum in exchange for vital information. Due to her tumultuous history with Mirror Picard, she knows him better than most, and she knows he plans to infiltrate Starfleet. He has claimed the Federation replaced the real Emperor Spock with a prime universe counterpart, but having examined the Emperor, she can verify that this isn’t true. Whether or not Mirror Picard really believes his own claims, however, finding the “real” emperor surely can’t be his only reason for infiltrating Starfleet. She urges Captains to find the people he has replaced before they can accomplish their mission - whatever it may be. [2]
Prologue
- Mirror Crusher: "Please hear me out, Captain. I know you have no reason to trust anyone in this uniform, but Picard and I were... close, once. I know what he's planning, and the Federation is in danger. All I want in exchange for the information is asylum for me and my son."
- Mirror Crusher: "Picard's been spreading rumors that the Federation kidnapped Emperor Spock and replaced him with his counterpart from your world. I've examined the emperor and I know that isn't true, but Picard's followers think it is. Now he's given them orders to infiltrate Starfleet."
- Mirror Crusher: "One by one, they'll replace your people so they can search for the "real" emperor. Whether Picard believes his own excuses or not, though, I promise you he's after more than just one man. Your only hope is to uncover his agents before they complete their true mission."
Intermezzo
- Mirror Uhura: "So, the game's up. Was it the posture that gave me away? ...No, don't answer that. It doesn't matter now, does it? Here I am a prisoner in enemy territory, and for what? A lie."
- Mirror Uhura: "Starfleet never kidnapped Emperor Spock. I learned that much before you found me. Picard lied to us, ans since Starfleet won't release me, I'm willing to make a deal. I'll tell you what I know about Picard's plans, and you ruin them. That's the closest I can get to revenge."
- choice A
- Captain: "I promise you'll be well-treated in exchange for your information."
- choice B
- Captain: "Why should I trust anything you have to say?"
- choice C
- Captain: "What convinced you that Picard was lying?"
- Mirror Uhura: "The more time I spent here, the harder it was to believe his story once I'd seen your world for myself. Kidnappings and assassinations just aren't the Federation's style. And a few days ago, I overheard a message that confirmed what I'd suspected."
- Mirror Uhura: "Here's what I know. Most of the other Terrans came here like I did, looking for the emperor, but I intercepted a message from Picard to some of his most trusted men. I only caught part of it, but it mentioned the Luna Shipyards. Whatever he's really planning, it starts there."
Epilogue
- Mirror Mayweather: "If you think this is over just because you've captured us, think again. The Captain Picard I know is worth ten of your best officers, and he won't give up just because my mission failed."
- Mirror Mayweather: "This was the easy way to victory. Replace your president and high-ranking officers, pull a few strings, and we could've arranged the Federation's surrender in days. But if we can't get rid of you quietly, we can always do it by force."
- Mirror Mayweather: "Picard is coming to Earth, Captain, to claim what is rightfully ours. To win a home for every Terran snatched away from their world when the anomaly crisis began. I wonder how all you explorers and diplomats will handle a full-scale invasion."
