A Terran Empire defector has offered to share a list of officers who've served with Picard–in other words, potential collaborators in his plot. In exchange, the defector will need safe transportation to Federation space. The away team concealed the defector inside their ship through a combination of shielding an sensor manipulations. Once in Federation space, he shared a list of Picard's potential collaborators with Starfleet. When rendezvousing with the defector, the away team attracted the attention of a Terran Empire patrol. Their ship was damaged in the fight, and the defector was killed his information lost along with him.

Starfleet Command has begun interviewing all high-ranking officers, but some objected to being interrogated without cause. Earn their cooperation without revealing Starfleet's suspicions to potential infiltrators. The away team explained Starfleet Command's intensive interviews as part of a potential promotion for the suspicious commanders. Once they agreed to continue speaking to Starfleet Command, three turned out to be Picard's followers. DIALOGUE FAIL

Starfleet Communications has recently detected a slight uptick in subspace communications from one research center to Luna. It could be nothing, but they would like to identify the source of the messages. The anomalous messages the away team found were too heavily encrypted to read, but they did manage to trace them back to their source: Lieutenant Uhura. Starfleet Command has detained her for questioning. Among Starfleet's usual operational messages to various settlements on Luna, the away team found a few anomalous ones, but they were either too heavily encrypted to read, or their contents had been erased.

Starfleet would like to know that suspected infiltrators are speaking the truth during questioning, but most known truth serums come with dangerous side effects. A new formula would be invaluable. The away team adapted an existing truth serum formula to include a mild sedative and a neural stimulant, and so far it has not caused any negative side effects. Starfleet Security will begin using the formula to question potential infiltrators. DIALOGUE FAIL

The crew has requested repairs at McKinley Station, but Starfleet wants their ship inspected before allowing it closer to Earth. With them in custody, the ship can safely approach Earth. DIALOGUE FAIL

Starfleet fears that the story about Emperor Spock's kidnapping may put Commander Spock in jeopardy. They want a security detail to keep an eye out for Terran Empire operatives trying to "rescue" him. The away team's constant vigilance has stopped four separate attempts to capture Commander Spock. Though Spock assured the away team he can defend himself, he also expressed his gratitude for their efforts. When the away team let their guard down one evening, they were overpowered by a dozen Terran Empire agents. The agents left with Spock as their prisoner, presumably to 'return' him to the Empire.

However, it would be difficult to detect without comparing both subjects. DIALOGUE FAIL

Diplomacy Science Admiral Black had orders to represent the Terran Empire in a trade route negotiation, but his absence has made Starfleet Intelligence suspect he is working with Picard. Send a team to investigate his whereabouts. Searching through passenger transport logs, the away team learned that Admiral Black recently departed on a civilian ship to Risa, abandoning his trade negotiations for a personal holiday rather than Picard's plots. Searching through the few communications that they could find, the away team found no indication that Admiral Black was part of Picard's plot, but absence of evidence is not evidence against. Starfleet will remain on the lookout for him.

Engineering Diplomacy Fearing that Picard's agents could potentially disguise their own ships as Starfleet vessels, Starfleet has asked a team to acquire Terran Empire ship records and give a report on their schematics. The away team purchased a detailed roster of Terran Empire ships from a discreet Ferengi. They warned Starfleet of several ship classes which, if Picard has access to them, could pass as Starfleet vessels with a simple paint job. The only Terran Empire ship schematics the away team was able to acquire were several years out of date, and no help in Starfleet's search for Picard's agents.

Access his medical records to determine whether he is up to anything suspicious. After quietly accessing Admiral Paris's medical files, the away team learned he is not up to anything nefarious, only getting discreet treatment for lung cancer. They told Starfleet Security to leave him in peace. The away team's attempt to view Admiral Paris's medical files triggered a system alert, and they later received an angry reprimand from the admiral himself. Whatever he is up to at Starfleet Medical, they cannot guess.

Starfleet has captured several of Picard's operatives, but they believe more are at large. You've been asked to establish new security protocols for Starfleet Headquarters to help keep imposters out of the building. The away team established a system of rotating passwords and personalized questions that anyone entering Starfleet Headquarters must answer. It should help catch any mirror universe infiltrators off guard. The away team requested that more security officers be posted throughout Starfleet Headquarters, but their mere presence won't be enough to keep mirror universe infiltrators out of the building.

Starfleet received a report claiming your own crew may be among Picard's infiltrators, protected by your part in the investigation. Starfleet believes Picard's operatives may be using one of the more remote planets in the Sol system as a launching point for their mission. Search the outer planets for any unauthorized ships. The away team set up a sensor grid to scan the outer planets at regular intervals. So far the sensors have not detected any unauthorized ships in the area, though Starfleet will keep a close watch on their readings. The away team's overly detailed scans of the outer planets took so long that by the time they finished, Starfleet asked them to restart the process, warning that Picard's operatives may have arrived in the meantime.

Science Mirror universe operatives only need to replicate Starfleet uniforms to fit in with their counterparts, but if you can devise a non-replicable substance to incorporate into the uniforms, they will be harder to imitate. The away team designed a badge infused with small amounts of dilithium. Starfleet has the means to make and distribute them to most officers posted on Earth, but they will be difficult for mirror universe agents to create or imitate. The only non-replicable substance the away team can come up with is latinum, which Starfleet has in limited supply. They'll have to go back to the drawing board to make Starfleet uniforms more difficult to acquire.

Science The mirror universe's Montgomery Scott was captured attempting to disable one of Earth's orbital sensor arrays. Starfleet has been unable to get information out of him, but an away team may have better luck. Knowing that mirror universe commanders are used to punishment, the away team offered Scott a reward: access to engineering manuals during his sentence. In exchange for basic comforts, he gave up the other operatives he had been working with. The mirror version of Lieutenant Commander Scott gave the away team no more answers than he gave Starfleet Security, remarking that he'd endured far worse than their annoying questions in the Terran Empire.

Agent Harris tried to access one of Starfleet Security's few detention facilities, and Starfleet needs to know whether this was a Section 31 mission, or the work of a Terran agent searching for his "missing" emperor. Harris deftly evaded the away team's first questions, but deeper questioning revealed that he had little knowledge of how Section 31 works. Convinced that he is a Terran impostor, Starfleet has arrested him. The away team managed to corner Harris, but he evaded their questions, claiming that Section 31 gave him the authority to access whatever files and facilities he required. They were ultimately forced to release him.

The Treaty of Algeron keeps the Federation from developing cloaking technology, but the Terran Empire signed no such treaty. Starfleet wants a report on the cloaking technology Picard's people may have at their disposal. Searching records of Terran Empire battles, the away team found very recent skirmishes with the Suliban. Worryingly, Picard led many of those skirmishes, and his agents may have access to Suliban cloaking technology. The Terran Empire has had so many conflicts with Romulans, Klingons, and Suliban alike that it is impossible for the away team to guess which kind of cloaking technology, if any, Picard's agents may have access to.
