The Doctor suggests that, since the Borg have assimilated Picard before, perhaps they would like to put their collective knowledge to use in finding a cure for diseases like Irumodic Syndrome. He tasks your crew with persuading the Borg.
Convincing the Borg to provide access to any useful information they have proves easier than sorting through it. Your medical officers say it will take a long time to go through it, but the data offers a promising start.
The Collective sees no utility in offering access to that data, even as your officers insist it can aid in their own pursuit of perfection.

While stopping at a starbase to acquire supplies, a Borg drone is attacked and infected with a neuropathic virus meant to damage the motor functions of the entire Collective. Your medical team is tasked with treating him.
Your chief medical officer manages to successfully counteract the virus before too much damage is done and the attacker is swiftly brought to justice.
Your chief medical officer attempts to treat the drone, but is unable to discern how the virus works in time to prevent its rapid spread throughout the drone's cube.

A Borg drone, recently severed from the Collective, makes contact with your ship and asks for aid. The Collective, however, insist that you return the drone at once. They will take him back, by force if necessary.
Your officers are torn on the subject, but the drone insists on addressing the Borg directly. He asserts to the Borg he has regained his individuality and they decide to cease pursuing him, feeling his mind too polluted by Federation ideals.
Your officers insist they will under no circumstances return the drone and one of them, a little trigger happy, fires phasers on the approaching Borg cube, igniting a violent space battle.

The Borg are struggling to locate the rogue cube, let alone bring the drones back into the Collective. Hearing of your crew's past accomplishments, the Borg ask for your assistance.
Your engineers track the last movements of the rogue cube and, though it disappears faster than they can lock onto to [sic], they believe they may have established a pattern to track it.
Your engineers study what they believe are the last known movements of the cube, but realize instead that they've been tracking a friendly cube out searching for the missing one.

A conflict has erupted aboard Deep Space Nine and as the Borg have entrusted you to be their liaison in these tense days, you are asked to mediate.
At Quark's, your crew members learn that the proprietor was charging Borg drones quintuple, saying that it was the price they should pay for making his regulars nervous. Fortunately your crew arrived before things became violent.
Your crew learns that Quark was charging the Borg quintuple, accusing them of scaring off his regulars. Unfortunately, your crew doesn't make it in time to stop the drones from interfacing Quark's lobes with a bottle of Bajoran synthale.

As renewed hatred and distrust of the Borg ripples through the Federation, there are those who sympathize with the Borg, insisting assimilated drones can not be held responsible for their actions. Help these sympathizers make their case.
Following a lengthy internal ethics debate, your officers agree to present the argument at a variety of Starfleet functions, complete with suggestions on improved treatments for recovering Borg drones.
Distrust of the Borg still runs deep, leaving your officers unable to come to an agreement among themselves, let alone unite to create a presentation to persuade others.

A contingent of Borg are accused of attacking a Rigelian diplomat and it falls to you and your officers to sort the matter out.
Your officers investigate the situation and learn the Rigelian diplomat was injured following a bad deal with some Nausicaan traders, but he blamed the Borg to cover up his own improprieties.
Your officers investigate, but before they can come to a conclusion, a group of Nausicaans ambush and kill one of the accused drones.

What They Left Behind

The Borg have been analyzing the moments before the rogue cube became disconnected from the rest of the Collective and have begun to see similar patterns in other drones. They ask for your help in making sense of their observations.
There are certain neurological patterns in the remaining Borg, ones their implants seem to be adequately mitigating for now. Your officers debate how much to share with the Borg before ultimately sharing a bare-bones version of the analysis.
The possibility that these neural patterns are the inklings of individuality re-emerging is raised and thus, many of your science and medical officers refuse to share their findings with the Borg, souring relations with the faction.
