A massive pack of monsters has been tearing through the traps that hunting parties have set for them. The hunters need a better means of cornering them before the creatures reach nearby villages.
The away team places bait in a small ravine and designs a duranium gate that slams shut once any monsters pass through it. The elated hunting party faces down the slopes of the ravine to face their prey in battle.
The away team's traps corner a few of the beasts, but as the hunters arrive to fight their quarry, the improvised traps break, unleashing several very angry monsters right at the surprised hunters.

The ancient Serpent of Xol has been sighted in the Sea of Gatar! It will take cunning and bravery to track such a creature through treacherous waters and slay it as Kahless himself once did.
It takes three days and three nights of sailing before the away team closes in on the Serpent of Xol. They raise their bat'leths as it rears over the deck, and by the battle's end, the legendary beast is slain once more.
The away team leads an exhausting voyage through the Sea of Gatar, but the only time they get close to the Serpent of Xol, it turns out to be an oddly shaped rock. Perhaps other hunters will have better luck.

Friendly Terrain

Mutated saber bears are wandering the mountains of Qo'noS, with newly grown defensive plates that no spears can pierce. Hunting parties need a way to fell them before they reach the inhabited lowlands.
Realizing there's no need for weapons in the right terrain, the away team lures the saber bears over the edge of the Kris'tak volcano's crater. It's not as glorious as a hand-to-claw fight, but it's undeniably effective.
Every weapon that the away team crafts either splinters or bounces off of the mutated bears' hides. They beat an undignified retreat as a roaring pack of bears chases them down the mountainside.

Fek'lhr, guardian of Grethor, has been terrorizing the Klingon countryside, and neither blades nor phasers seem capable of harming him. Prepare a weapon for Klaa that can fell this mythological foe.
Realizing that neither energy blasts nor blades have hurt Fek'lhr, the away team combines them, attaching an electrical charge to a finely honed bat'leth. When Klaa strikes Fek'lhr with it, the monsters falls to its knees.
The away team constructs an enhanced disruptor for Klaa, but when he turns it on Fek'lhr, the blast bounces off it's hide. Only a shameful retreat saves Klaa from being torn apart by the monstrous being.

Sarpek the Fearless has earned his name once again through a series of daring hunts, but his rashness has left many of his fellow hunters wounded. They need medical attention before Sarpek leaves them behind.
The away team treats the wounds that are most likely to slow the hunting party down, sending them off with a medical kit and instructions for further care. They are grateful to be able to rejoin Sarpek's hunt.
The hunting party's wounds are severe, and Sarpek, impatient, rushes off to continue the hunt before the away team can heal them. The warriors limp home, nursing their wounds and their shame.

A band of both Klingon and Hirogen hunters are fighting over who gets the trophies from their latest kill. Unless someone steps in to keep the peace, their prey may not be the only thing left lying on the ground.
The away team examines the hunting party's fallen prey. Based on the wounds, they confirm that a Hirogen struck the last blow on the creature. The Klingons begrudgingly hand their trophies to the Hirogen.
The away team has the hunting party describe the last moments of their hunt, but due to the heat of the fight, no one knows who struck the last blow on their prey. They continue arguing, and some reach for their blades.

Commander K'Nera asked the Klingon Defense Force for leave to join the great hunt, but his request was denied. Convince his superiors that this is no idle shore leave, but a mighty battle worth joining.
K'Nera's superiors don't believe the rumors about monsters on Qo'noS, but after the away team shows them footage of the beasts, everyone in the room is eager to join the hunt. K'Nera's request is, naturally, approved.
When the away team tries to sway K'Nera's superiors with words alone, they treat them with even more scorn for trying to appeal their decision. K'Nera's leave request is still denied, and he is facing discommendation.

The once-renowned General Korrd hopes to relive his glory days by joining in the hunt, but years of diplomatic work have left him with weak joints and three rheumy lungs. Help him get back on his feet and into the field.
The away team treats Korrd with the same aggressive, proactive care that they've seen Klingon doctors use. Despite Korrd's complaints, he's soon feeling like his old warlike self, and ready to join the hunt.
The away team treats their patient like they would a human, and their delicate bedside manners only infuriate General Korrd. He stomps off to join the hunt, untreated, and there is no telling if he'll return.

A disgraced Kurn has tried to regain his honor by hunting one of the many monsters on Qo'noS. Now his quarry has him cornered, and Kurn will be further disgraced—or killed—if he cannot defeat it.
The away team attacks Kurn's prey, distracting it with phaser fire as they shout encouragement to the determined warrior. When he defeats the beast, Kurn laughs triumphantly for the first time in a long time.
The away team is able to rescue Kurn from his disastrous hunt, but they cannot defeat his prey. Ashamed of his failure to redeem himself, Kurn turns to bloodwine for consolation.

Duras, son of Ja'rod, has been using the chaos to masquerade as Molor reborn, but no disguise can turn a coward's heart into a warrior's. Defeating Duras in a public duel would prove that he is just an ordinary man.
Realizing he cannot refuse a challenge without dishonoring himself, Duras reluctantly duels the away team...and lands face-down in the dirt. Everyone sees that he is a mere mortal, not the Molor of legends.
The away team challenges Duras in public, drawing a large crowd of spectators. There are dozens of people watching when he easily defeats the away team, only furthering his claims that he is Molor reborn.
