Medicine Upon discovering a remaining batch of Augmented embryos, Sloan enlists your crew's aid in quietly planting them aboard Roga Danar's ship. He assures you Malik would love to hear that. Your away team successfully manages to stash the embryos aboard Roga Danar's vessel and escape without detection. When Malik and the others learn of the embryos, they immediately launch an attack on Roga's ship. Your away team is unsuccessful in trying to stash the embryos aboard Roga's vessel before he catches them.

Security Once Khan's right hand man, Joachim insists on testing these warring Augments, as neither of them experienced the banishment on Ceti Alpha V and thus, he feels they have no concept of what their predecessors endured. Help Joachim arrange this test. Your away team designs a holosuite colosseum for them so that they can go with as much intensity as they like and hopefully without killing each other. Roga reluctantly accepts the challenge while Malik declines, leaving Joachim seething. Your away team attempts to design a safe holosuite colosseum for them but their violence quickly supersedes all safety protocols and your team ends up having to request backup security.

Medicine Roga Danar once sought a way to be deprogrammed. Luther Sloan suggests that, with a little ingenuity and a few sets of Romulan mind probes, this desire for deprogramming may offer a chance to widen the rift between the Augments. Your away team manages to reprogram a few sets of Romulan mind probes. Instead of deprogramming Roga and his men, you instead suggest further insecurities regarding Malik's group. They awaken, certain of one thing: Soong's children cannot be trusted. You and your away team attempt to engineer the Romulan mind probes to be able to suggest, but Roga and his men are too clever for the ruse. Fleeing the Augment vessel now takes first priority!

Working from within Roga Danar's cell, Bashir is attempting to spread discontent among the crew in an effort to push them to leave him. But he needs something more, some sort of evidence that could push them over the edge! Your away team manages to pull together forged datalogs to make it look like Danar was planning a retreat–or perhaps that he wasn't sure he could go through with this to begin with. While it hasn't been a clean split, murmurs of dissent have begun. DIALOGUE FAIL

Bashir suggests that Roga and his men might step up their game if they knew what they were up against. And so, he enlists your team's help in creating a holoprogram to help open their eyes. Your away team successfully creates a holoprogram for Bashir to install on the Augment ship that simulates combat with Soong's Augments, causing Roga and his men to realize just how strong they are. Roga and his men commit to even stricter training. The holoprogram your away team designed is flimsy at best and the Augments quickly begin to wonder just how it was this program found itself in their holodeck...

Sloan enlists your away team's help in deepening the divide between Roga's men and Malik's–by convincing Roga's men that the other side doesn't see them as "real" Augments. Your away team hacks into footage from Malik's lead vessel and manages to capture some rather incisive remarks he makes about Roga and the other Angosian soldiers. Upon receiving the footage, Bashir uses it to escalate animosity among Roga's men. Your away team is unable to gain usable footage, so they try to manufacture their own using holotechnology. It's less than convincing, however, and Roga's men seem barely interested.

Diplomacy Malcolm Reed proposes that you take the rivalry between Danar and Malik a step further–by turning Malik on Soong. He insists you make contact with Malik and show him that he truly is the one suited for leadership of the Augments. Your away team works to remind Malik of the past failures of other Augments, like Khan, and the past softness of his "father." While Malik reacts favorably at first, it will take a much steadier hand to turn him against the man he sees as his father. Your away team tries to remind Malik of Khan's past failures and Soong's past lapses in judgement, but he will hear none of it. The Federation is first and foremost his enemy--any other concerns come after it has fallen.

Engineering In the hopes of escalating the animosity between Roga Danar and Malik, Chairman Koval offers your crew some advanced Romulan cloaking technology to aid you in initiating a ship battle between the two. Provoke them and make your escape. Your crew uses the advanced technology, allowing them to fire on both Roga Danar's and Malik's ships without being detected. You manage to flee just as they prepare to retaliate–and turn their aggressions on one another. Your crew used the advanced cloaking technology and fires on Roga Danar's and Malik's ships, but your ship is unable to escape in time and you and your crew are caught up in the crossfire, quickly losing power to your cloaking device.

With the Obsidian Order seemingly losing interest in continued monitoring of Arik Soong, Elim Garak enlists your aid in sabotaging a high-level operative's vessel to show them how vulnerable they really are to someone like Soong. Gul Dukat scoffs at the Federation's concern over someone like Arik Soong, whom he considers nothing more than a weak human who has a way with words. Dukat shows no signs of taking the threats Soong poses seriously. Convince him otherwise. Your crew amasses past records of Arik Soong's misdoings in the hopes of getting Dukat to take the threat more seriously. While he still seems more amused than anything, he does agree to handle the matter with more... gravity. DIALOGUE FAIL

Diplomacy Legate Tekeny Ghemor wishes to reach out to Arik Soong and persuade him, for the sake of his "children," to persuade the Augment rebels to back down. Convince Arik Soong to meet with the Legate and at least hear him out. Your away team manages to arrange a meeting between the two. Though Arik Soong is receptive to what Ghemor has to say, he knows how passionately Malik feels about the Federation and the awful way it's treated the Augments. Arik Soong seems marginally interested in what Ghemor has to say... up until he begins to insist on having Malik and the Augments back down. Furious about what he sees as a poor attempt at Federation propaganda, Soong storms off.

Engineering Annoyed by the close supervision they have on him, Arik Soong hacks several Cardassian vessels, badly damaging their systems. Repair the Cardassian ships and help protect them against future attacks by Soong. Your engineering and science teams manages to repair the computer systems aboard the Cardassian vessels and to improve security systems to prevent Soong from hacking them again. Your engineering and science teams fail to repair the computer systems. The security was not great on them to begin with, but your team is still baffled at how Soong managed to do so much damage.

When Soong breaks out of Cardassian prison, it is up to you and your away team to recapture him before he leaves Cardassia Prime! Your away team manages to recapture Soong as he was attempting to slip aboard a vessel to the Kelvas System. As your team is transporting him to a secure vessel, he mocks the Order, saying they can call him when they want a "real" security system. Your away team fails to recapture Arik Soong before he managed to board a ship bound for the Kelvas System. On contacting the ship, its crew cannot locate Soong, but realizes an escape pod is missing.

Elim Garak suggests that the Cardassians might be even more helpful in keeping Arik Soong in line if they realized how much they had in common with the Augments, and thus, what trouble they could be. He enlists your help in convincing them of this. Your away team compiles stories from both the Augment and Cardassian pasts, showing how both are powerful and devoted in combat and conquest. Though their origins may be different, their end goals may be more alike than they realized. Your away team compiles what examples it can of the similarities between the two cultures, but ultimately fails to sway any Cardassian sentiments. The Augments are merely modified humans to them and nothing more.

Malik seems interested, but not committed. It seems O'Brien and Sisko still have work to do. Mirror Paul Stamets is delighted at the prospect of Malik joining forces with the Terran Empire, as he feels it would give him a chance to study the Augment and perhaps to replicate the technology. Arrange an opportunity for the two to meet. You and your crew manage to convince Malik to meet Stamets–with a little sugar-coating. On hearing Stamets’ actual pitch, Malik storms out in a rage, though he later sends the schematics to some minor Augment technology to Stamets as a consolation. Malik mocks the request, insisting there is no need for a mighty Augment such as himself to aid the puny Terran Empire. Stamets admires his arrogance, but laments that he cannot get his hands on some new Augment research.
