Grand Nagus Zek feels the conflict with the Dosi may be an overall chance to "knock them down a peg". He sends your away team out to see what other dirt they can dig up on the Dosi. Your away team manages to learn some nasty secrets regarding the Dosi that Zek is convinced will help dissuade others from trading with them in the future. While your away team is digging up dirt, they are confronted by a group of particularly imposing Dosi and forced to retreat.

Quark has been negotiating with the Karemma to see if they will get the Dosi to release the hostages, but first, the Karemma want a favor. Quark asks you to retrieve a shipment and then deliver to them to grease the wheels. Your away team retrieves the package and delivers it safely to the Karemma, who agree to provide some assistance. Your away team retrieves the shipment and stops off at Deep Space Nine before meeting the Karemma. On arrival they learn part of the shipment has gone missing.

Rumor has it that a prominent scientist from an alternate timeline has been taken by the Dosi and they are using the scientist to guide them toward a world discovered only in the alternate timeline. Intercept the Dosi ship. Your away team manages to intercept the Dosi ship, but just as you're getting the rescued scientist settled in, several Vorta ships arrive, insisting the scientist is a member of the Dominion before whisking him away. Your away team pursues the Dosi ship to no avail.

Doctor Bashir is concerned about the current wellbeing of the hostages. He asks your away team to help him get close enough to check up on them. You manage to get Doctor Bashir into a holding area to check on some of the hostages and even manage to rescue a few before discovery by the Dosi. Your away team is unable to get Doctor Bashir anywhere near the hostages.

Brunt, FCA, calls into question Quark's involvement with what he sees as a decidedly human conflict. Quark asks your help in persuading him otherwise - or at least getting the unpleasant liquidator out of his bar. Your away team members lay out all of the impacts the current situation could have on the Ferengi. Whether he's been persuaded or is just bored with listening, Brunt decides to leave, for now. Brunt is irritated with your away team and all their human nonsense. His harassment of Quark only intensifies.

Pel asks you to send an away team to check on Quark after an attempt to negotiate with the Dosi went awry. Your away team arrives just in time to save Quark from being put through a table by an angry Dosi. The Dosi demands your team get the obnoxious Ferengi out of his sight. Your away team manages to find the Dosi and Quark, but not before the Dosi have broken a few of his bones and scarred his lobes.

Rom insists to the Dosi that if they want unending amusement, they should try the holosuite. He even commissions a program for them tailored to their...tastes. However the program malfunctions and Rom asks you and your team to engineer a rescue. Your engineering and security officers manage to free the Dosi, who have done considerable damage to the holosuite in their attempts to escape. While attempting to free the Dosi, one of your security officers irrevocably damages the computer, leaving the Dosi trapped inside.

After learning of a group of Bajorans who survived Cardassian occupation being tortured by the Dosi, Kira leaves in a moment of rage and heads for a direct confrontation. Intervene before something horrible befalls her or the hostages. You manage to intercept Kira and persuade her to come to her senses, while the rest of your away team manages to rescue a few Bajorans from a holding cell. You attempt to stop Kira, but she is already engaged in direct conflict with the Dosi and things aren't looking good.

Quark is scooped up with a group of Federation allies who recently appeared due to the temporal anomaly crisis. Sisko applauds his desire to help the hostages from the inside, but Quark shouts, demanding you send an away team to rescue him! Your away team manages to rescue Quark and several other hostages. Back at his bar, Quark tells a different story, insisting he coordinated the rescue. He's currently in talks to have his story immortalized as a holoprogram. Your away team attempts to rescue Quark and the other hostages. They only manage to free Quark, but he insists the Federation can't begin to afford to compensate him for the lobe damage he sustained.

Nog hears a disturbing rumor - that not only are the captives being used for entertainment, but also to gain intel from other timelines. He asks you to send an away team to investigate. Your away team confirms the rumors and initiates a larger Starfleet investigation into who wants this intel - and why. While your away team is investigating, their shuttle is mysteriously sabotaged. They just barely make it back to your ship.

The Dosi have been selling some of the things people from other timelines had on them when they appeared, including certain things that could be dangerous in the wrong hands. Send out an away team to retrieve what you can. Your away team manages to retrieve most of the more egregious items the Dosi have been selling or trading. Your away team is unable to track down any of the items in question.

Quark hears a rumor of an asteroid mining operation discovering a new ore. It sounds like the Dosi may be interested. He sends your away team to investigate and seize the opportunity. Your away team manages to convince the head of the mining operation to use Quark as their distributor, rather than the more forceful Dosi. The Dosi aren't fond of your away team trying to move in on their potential profits - a fact they make painfully clear when they begin firing on your shuttle.

Some individuals being rescued from Dosi space are exhibiting signs of a mysterious illness. Investigate the illness. The illness seems to be a dormant virus injected by the Dosi that only activates if the carrier leaves Dosi space, thus serving as a way to keep them captive. Thankfully, your away team is helping to research a cure. Your away team evaluates the illness and though they are able to stabilize those affected, they have yet to find a cure or root cause.

Neelix helps Quark arrange for a shipment of Talax's finest wine, in the hopes of trading with the Dosi for some of the prisoners. When the shipment is stolen, a panicked Quark enlists your away team to find it. Your away team manages to recover the wine, mostly intact. One bottle was clearly opened, but the thieves, deeming it not to their tastes, left it half-full. Your away team is unable to recover the stolen shipment.

Intent on getting a better grasp of the situation, Nog asks you to send your away team to gather information on where the Dosi are holding their captives. Your away team manages to observe and gather information on where the captives are being held while avoiding detection by the Dosi. While flying around and trying to gather intel on the Dosi, your away team is spotted and chased off.
