Security Medicine Word has reached you that Sylvia Tilly is planning to poison you in order to take command of your ship. The best medicine, however, might be showing Tilly how the Federation handles such matters. You conduct a proper investigation and learn that the rumors were indeed founded. Tilly, sensing you are onto her, manages to make an escape, but you take the opportunity to remind other Terran Empire allies not to mistake your civility for weakness. DIALOGUE FAIL

Thelin learns Tarah is heading for Andoria, perhaps seeking asylum. Diplomacy is not a strength of the Terran Empire, but this might be a good chance to learn. Take a team down to meet with the Andorian Chancellor to ensure they will not harbor her. Brash as they may be, your Terran Empire allies are able to convince the Chancellor to extradite Tarah should she show up requesting protection. The Chancellor is offended by the Terrans' brash and arrogant mannerisms. He expresses disappointment in fellow Andorian Thelin and reasserts that the wounds of Weytahn are still fresh, even despite their work toward peace.

Your allies have captured some of Tarah's associates and Hoshi Sato is ready to interrogate them. Thelin insists, however, that methods such as the agony booth would not go over well with the Federation. Strike a balance to gain the intel you need. You managed to convince Thelin and Sato to come to a compromise and, in spite of Sato's feelings on "weaker" interrogation methods, you managed to gain some valuable intel regarding Tarah's plans. Thelin and Sato could not come to an agreement. What's more, the time wasted trying to mitigate your own crew members has lead [sic] the prisoners to firm up their resolve.

Your relentless pursuits of Tarah have caused you to neglect some necessary maintenance and repairs aboard your ship. T'Pol assures you that she can handle it, but you'll need to obtain the parts yourself. You manage to locate the necessary parts scavenging an abandoned Starfleet facility and T'Pol performs the necessary maintenance and repairs, admonishing you to be more diligent in the future. You are unable to find the parts necessary and will have to make an unscheduled stop as a result. T'Pol chides you, wondering aloud just how Tarah is using this time.

During their escape, one of Tarah's cohorts drops an encoded data crystal. Thelin puts you in contact with Shukar, but he's hesitant to trust any allies of the Terran Empire. Convince him of your good intentions so he will decipher the data crystal. Reluctantly, Shukar agrees. Though Tarah is a fellow Andorian, so is Thelin. He deciphers the crystal and learns that Tarah and her team are planning to head for Vulcan, to cause destruction and spread terror to the Vulcan people. Shukar refuses, turning up his nose at the Terran Empire's history of oppression. He disparages Thelin for agreeing to work with such brutes.

Diplomacy Tarah attacked a Klingon Bird-of-Prey in an attempt to take it over. Her attack failed, but the ship is damaged. You suggest Joachim to handle repairs, but the Klingons are unwilling to accept aid from Augments. Convince them to set prejudice aside. The Klingons' past with the Augments won't allow them to admit it, but you can see it in their eyes that they're impressed with the ease with which Joachim locates the damage and repairs the ship. The Klingons cannot set their deep-seated resentment of Augments aside, even in a situation as critical as this.

You introduce Saru to Doctor Bashir and Sarina Douglas, both of whom are willing to indulge his curiosity and answer his questions at length. You are unable to come up with a solution, but Khan assures you that if you don't do something about this obnoxious Kelpien soon, he will.

You locate a damaged ship that has been abandoned by a group of Andorian rebels, likely working with Tarah. Khan intends to steal the ship, but he agrees to give you any intel relevant to Tarah if your crew helps him get it up and running. You manage to help Khan get the ship up and running, and, as promised, you are able to gain several pieces of valuable information from the ship's computer and navigation systems. Your crew is hesitant to help the Augments. Khan and his crew manage to get the ship up and running on their own. But for the distrust shown to him and his people, he will not provide the intel you desire.

You've managed to open a comm channel with the ship of one of Tarah's associates. Though he knows it may be futile to reason with Tarah herself, Shran suggests trying to convince those working with her to stand down. While many of Tarah's comrades hold firm to their ideals, your eloquent words about the ideals the Federation stands for have swayed some of them. Your words ring hollow for Tarah's comrades, who still feel indignation at how the matter of Weytahn was handled.

Security Tarah fled Paan Mokar and disappeared without a trace. Some of Sakonna's old associates might have information, but it comes at a price. Lead a team into a Cardassian facility to locate weapons of high enough value to garner their cooperation. You locate several Disruptor rifles and take them back to Sakonna's associates. Impressed with the quality, they share that Tarah and her cohorts recently stopped to shop the local black market for ship parts. Your team triggers a security system on the way in and fails to obtain anything worth a trade. What's worse, you know that the Cardassians will show no mercy to the Maquis or to those who would aid them.
