Security Phlox has been taken hostage by Tilly. She wants him to develop a new type of agony booth for her, one with even more varied and harsh types of torture than those found on the Charon. Rescue Phlox and prevent the development of the new booth. You and your crew are able to successfully rescue Phlox. Though Tilly escapes, Phlox assures you that the only new agony she got from him was the agony of listening to him describe, in great detail, the differences in Terran and Tholian anatomy. You and your crew are unable to rescue Phlox. You are not sure who to be more concerned for, Phlox himself, or anyone subjected to those agony booths he builds.

Prevent Tilly from reaching Vulcan. Though the Vulcan High Command ensures you they could have handled Tilly just fine, you save them the trouble and intercept her en route. While you destroy or disable most of the fleet, Tilly escapes once more. You fail to stop Tilly before she reaches Vulcan, incurring several casualties of your own. You warn the Vulcan High Command in the hopes that they can stop her and prevent any further casualties.

Word has reached you that Tilly is trying to track down "her" ship, the ISS Discovery. Keyla Detmer thinks this might be a good chance to ensnare Tilly in a trap. Disguise the USS Discovery as a lure for Tilly. You successfully deceive Tilly into believing that the USS Discovery is the ISS Discovery, but the one who boards the ship is one of the freed prisoners rather than Tilly herself. While you have managed to take a prisoner, Tilly slips away. Tilly does not approach the bait Discovery, but sends you and Detmer a taunting communication - there's no way she'd be deceived by that pathetic Federation lookalike.

Security Philippa Georgiou sees an opportunity to subjugate the Ventaxians through their terror of Ardra. For Ardra's part, she has already resumed threatening the Ventaxians. Philippa demands that you bring Ardra to her, dead or alive. You pursue Ardra, but she refuses to go with you and gives you the slip. She does leave Ventax II alone however, and during her escape, contacts you with a message for the emperor: Ardra works for no one. Ardra has built quite the stronghold on Ventax II and fights back against you and your crew, inflicting heavy damage on your ship. You are unable to bring her in and, as an added bonus, must now face the wrath of Emperor Georgiou.

Security Paul Stamets informs you that Tilly has ordered a group of prisoners loyal to her to obtain intel regarding the mycelial network, ostensibly in an attempt to produce a spore drive for the ISS Discovery. Intercept the spies before they reach Tilly. You manage to apprehend the spies before they can transmit the data to Tilly. Stamets sneers that he doubts a boarish creature like her would be able to comprehend the intel, but the issue has been resolved for now nonetheless. You and your crew fail to intercept Tilly's spies and Stamets laments that, though Tilly is now the brightest star in the sky, that information is extremely dangerous.

Cadet Sylvia Tilly pleads with you to let her try and reason with her Terran Empire counterpart, an idea to which your crew is vehemently averse. Jonathan Archer, however, thinks this may be an opportunity to hack Tilly's vessel. Prepare Cadet Tilly. You prepare Cadet Tilly and it goes better than planned. As she keeps an increasingly annoyed Captain Tilly on the comm channel, you and Archer are able to steal activity and navigational logs from Tilly's ship, allowing you to predict her next move. Soon after opening the comm channel, Captain Tilly closes it, sneering and lobbing insults at her stammering prime universe counterpart.

Damaging the Klingons' dilithium mining operations by freeing the prisoners on Rura Penthe, Tilly seeks to deal a similar blow to the Federation by attacking Corvan II. Lursa and B'Etor are all too willing to help you as you defend the planetoid. With the sisters' aid, you are able to fight Tilly off, but she escapes the fray. Though they ask for no reward, you can't help but notice that the sisters have been taking notes about security on Corvan II, a fact which you relay to the colonists. Tilly inflicts heavy damage to you and your crew. Not only that, but it seems she intends to enslave the colonists to mine dilithium for her own interests.

He assures you that they would sooner scrub the Sarcophagus with a tooth sharpener than work with you. Show them your strength. Though Tilly escapes, your crew and the Klingons are able to capture or fell several of her allies. Though T'Kuvma refuses to praise you, he says you at least managed not to hinder his warriors. Your crew finds itself fairly ineffective amidst the sheer onslaught of the Klingon warriors, feeling more a hindrance on the battlefield than anything. Tilly and most of her allies manage an easy escape.

A series of incendiary communications between Worf and Alexander has created a rift between the two in the heat of battle. However, both confide in you that something is off, as neither sent the communications in question. Investigate the situation. You investigate the communications and learn that it was Ardra, trying to create dissension among the Klingons. You give Worf and Alexander the coordinates of her current location and leave them to pursue her. You are unable to determine where the communications are coming from, and though both Klingons assert that they never sent them, the nature of the communications grow more and more personal.

Diplomacy The deity Ardra has appeared to the Ventaxians, enraged that they would listen to anyone who would claim her contract to be fake. She gave them a thousand years of peace, now she's here to collect her due. Combat this divine threat. Your crew and Klingon allies unmask the impostor, once again attempting to deceive the Ventaxians by pretending to be their deity of retribution. She slips away with the Klingon forces in hot pursuit, claiming that she is still the only true Ardra. Though convinced that this Ardra is an impostor, you are unable to apprehend or defeat her. What's worse, the fear she has awakened in the Ventaxians is quickly being stirred into something more sinister.

Kurn reports that the appearance of Fek'lhr, the guardian of the Klingon underworld equivalent Gre'thor is causing a major stir among the Empire. Investigate this otherworldly arrival. On confronting "Fek'lhr", you learn that it is the impostor who has also pretended to be Ardra, once again using her shape shifting technology. Though you are unable to capture her, you are able to demonstrate her falsehood to the Klingons. You are unable to get close enough to Fek'lhr for a confrontation. Making matters worse, he is beginning to sway some of the more superstitious Klingons into acting against the Federation.
