Diplomacy
Security Since Akritirian prison hospitality leaves much to be desired, Neelix has prepared a large shipment of food to help tide the prisoners over—if you can smuggle it in to them. After carefully studying the Akritirian's supply protocols, your away team managed to beam the food shipment into the supply chute right as a new prisoner was being sent down, bypassing the security forcefields. Despite your best efforts, you can't get past the detention facility's forcefields to beam the shipment inside. Considering that Neelix included several portions of his leola root stew, maybe it's for the best.
House Call Diplomacy Medicine
AND
Science
Medicine Vidiian doctor Danara Pel has personal experience with cortical implants. Work with her on a way to counteract the effects of Akritirian security's psychosis-inducing "clamps." Your team discovers a subspace frequency which disrupts the clamp's energy supply, reducing its effects. You set up a satellite near the facility to continuously emit this signal, giving the prisoners some relief. With limited data to with from, your away team and Doctor Pel are unable to counteract the clamp's effects. You hear reports of fighting among the prisoners, a sign that some are succumbing to the clamp's influence.
Long-Distance Care Engineering Medicine Science As an experienced xenophysician, Dr. McCoy is attempting use remote bioscans to determine which prisoners require immediate medical assistance. He needs help deciphering the somewhat garbled scans. The bioscans are full of noise, but your away team determines which prisoners need treatment. McCoy presents a list of demands to the Akritirians, and when he won't back down, they agreed to provide care. The remote bioscans contain almost more signal than noise, and even with your away team's help, McCoy can't make heads or tails of them. Whatever the prisoners may be going through, they must suffer alone.

AND
Engineering
Science Engineering Tom Paris says Akritirian prisoners are always low on water. He believes a nearby comet could be used to provide the prisoners and their hosts with a long-lasting water supply, if you can find a way to rope it into orbit. Your away team slows the comet with photon torpedos, then uses a tractor beam to pull it into orbit around the security facility. The Akritirians reluctantly agree to share their new water source with the prisoners. Your away team attempts to redirect the comet with several photon torpedos, but are unable to get it into a stable orbit. Several pieces of the comet are knocked loose, nearly damaging the security facility.

Diplomacy After years spent fighting his own violent impulses on Voyager, Lon Suder believes he could counsel the prisoners. Frame Suder for a crime so that the Akritirians will send him to the detention facility. You manipulate a transmission from an Akritirian freighter to name Suder among several Maquis who attacked it. Once arrested, he is grateful to be able to help the prisoners without having to relive his violent past. Your away team is unable to manipulate Akritirian records to accuse Suder of a recent crime. Fearing he may be asked to commit a real one to be arrested, Suder breaks down and is placed under medical observation.

Security
Security Starfleet wants to help the prisoners release their aggression non-fatally: in a boxing ring. With his boxing experience, Chakotay is well-suited to run it, if you can convince him to get himself locked up. Your away team convinces Chakotay that the prisoners need him as much as his Maquis crew does. Once he gets himself arrested, his boxing ring gives the prisoners an outlet for their anger and wins him their respect. Although Chakotay is sympathetic to the prisoners' plight, your away team can't convince him that getting locked in there with them will do them any good. Rampant fighting continues among the prisoners.
Rosetta Stone Science Diplomacy
OR
Science
Diplomacy Like a true ambassador, Curzon Dax immediately began peace talks among his fellow prisoners until his universal translator broke. He's asked for briefings on five key languages, hoping to learn them the hard way. Your away team's analysis of Akritirian, Trabe, and the other languages Curzon requested reveals common grammaticaly structures he can use to learn them quickly. You have these findings smuggled in to him. Your away team is unable to distil the languages Curzon requested into bite-sized briefings. The dense linguistic texts you smuggle to him instead are a slow read, and his peace talks grind to a halt.
See You in Court Diplomacy
AND
Command
Diplomacy Phillipa Louvois is not much for sympathy, but her formidable reputation makes her the perfect judge to stand up to the Akritirian courts. Help her prepare a defense on behalf of the prisoners. Ever one for a challenge, Phillipa is happy to work with your away team. Your stunning defense convinces the ordinarily inflexible Akritirian judge to let the Federation formally appeal the prisoners' sentences. Your away team and Phillipa could not disagree more on the best way to present the prisoners' defense, and Phillipa is not the type to back down. The Akritirian judge is unswayed by your conflicting arguments.
Teach a Man to Fish Engineering
OR
Science
Engineering Still haunted by his Argrathi prison sentence, Miles O'Brien wants to help feed the prisoners. He's working on a basic replicator they could build with salvaged parts, but he needs your team's expertise. The food replicators your team and O'Brien design are limited, but they're enough to keep the prisoners from starving. You secretly transmit instructions for building them on a lower communications frequency. You come up with a basic food replicator the prisoners can make, but manage to share part of the schematics. The safeties are missing, and without them, some prisoners begin replicating weapons.

Command
AND
Security
Security Captain Thadiun Okona is being hotly pursued by an Akritirian patrol ship for theft and some things better left unsaid. Whether or not he's guilty, no one deserves Akritirian justice. Distract the Captain's pursuers. Your away team manages to slow the patrol ship with a few precise phaser blasts to its impulse drive. Okona hails you to express his thanks, promising that next time, he won't get caught. Your away team slows the patrol ship down, but not long enough for Okona's damaged vessel to get away. Okona is taken to the Akritirian detention facility, with only his wits to keep him alive.

Crusher Et Al Diplomacy Medicine
AND
Command
Medicine Outraged by the condition of prisoners who escaped Akritirian custody, Dr. Crusher has asked you to bring a formal report before Starfleet Medical. She hopes this will raise awareness of the prisoners' dilemma. Your team pours over the escaped prisoners' medical records and compiles a heart-wrenching report of what they suffered. Your findings are broadcast throughout the quadrant, leading to outrage against the Akritirians. Your team's report on the escaped prisoners' medical condition is thorough, but it is not enough for Starfleet to take further action against the Akritirians, and layperson readers are lost in its medicalese.
Insidious Methods Science
AND
Engineering
Engineering Science The detention facility's Akritirian staff mostly keep to their station, but Gul Madred has been spotted visiting them. Tap into the facility's communications systems so you can learn what they're discussing. Your team is able to tap into the Akritirian's surveillance systems and get live audio of the negotiations. You learn that Gul Madred wants to use Akritirian clamps in interrogations, and are able to stop his plans. Your away team spends hours trying to tap into the Akritirian's surprisingly complex communications systems. By the time you gain access, Gul Madred has left, his unknown business concluded.

Engineering Reginald Barclay believes the Akritirian detention facility is using micro-wormholes to communicate with their homeworld, much as the MIDAS array does. Disrupt their communications about prisoner resistance efforts. By studying gravimetric distortions, your away team was able to locate a micro-wormhole near the Akritirian facility and destabilize it, severing communications between the prison staff and their homeworld. Even with Barclay's expert assistance, your away team was unable to locate the micro-wormhole that Akritirian staff are using to communicate with their homeworld.

Security
Security If the Akritirian prison staff were busy squabbling among themselves, it would make rescuing prisoners easier. Find a way past the staff quarters' shields and make some of the guards' belongings vanish. Your away team disables the staff quarters' shields and beams some personal possessions away. When this "theft" is noticed, the guards begin to mistrust each other, distracting them from the prisoners' plans. DIALOGUE FAIL
Sick Day Engineering Medicine
OR
Science
Medicine Data has offered to use the environmental distribution method he once used on the Enterprise to spread a harmlessly distracting disease among the prison guards. But first, you'll have to recreate the common cold. The common cold was mostly extinct in the Alpha Quadrant, but no longer. Data distributes your replicated airborne virus through the Akritirian guards' environmental systems, laying them up for days with the sniffles. Your away team's attempts to recreate the virus behind the common cold lead nowhere. Perhaps it's best for the quadrant on the whole that the cold remains extinct.
The Grass Is Greener Security Command
AND
Diplomacy
Command Diplomacy The Akritirians running the detention facility aren't prisoners, but their lives aren't enviable. Ever the salesman, Quark thinks he can get them to seek other employment, if you can get new postings lined up for them. While Quark spins the Akritirian guards a tale of freedom among the stars, your away team talks Federation officials into offering them work protecting cargo ships. Several dozen guards accept the offer. Quark gets several guards interested in more comfortable and lucrative employment, but your away team can't convince the Federation to trust the Akritirians with a new line of work.
The Hand that Feeds Security
AND
Command
Security Every soldier knows that an army marches on its stomach. Help Kira Nerys and other Bajoran veterans disrupt the Akritirian guards' food shipments. Hunger will make it hard for them to do their jobs. Your away team's shuttle maneuvers drive several cargo ships away, and you're able to convince others to sell their food to you. The hungry Akritirian guards grow lax in their duties, and several prisoners escape. DIALOGUE FAIL

Security
Diplomacy Security Constable Odo's preliminary investigations have revealed that some of the Akritirian prisoner guards are less innocent than their prisoners. He's asked you to dig up further evidence and share it with the Akritirians. Your away team uncovers evidence that three of the Akritirian guards made black market purchases using prison funds. When you bring this evidence to the Akritirians, the guards are promptly arrested. Your away team finds suspicious points in the records of three Akritirian guards, but not enough to have them brought before a court. The guilty guards and their innocent prisoners remain where they are.

Command Security Li Nalas spent a decade imprisoned in a labor camp, and he has vowed to save others from the same fate. Help Li rescue a group of Bajorans who the Akritirians are transporting to their detention facility. Your away team knocks out the Akritirian transport's shields, then boards the vessel to free the Bajoran prisoners and transport them to safety. Li Nalas commends you for your bravery and quick thinking. Your away team's shuttle is badly damaged in the fight with the Akritirian transport, and Li's ship disengages to get your crew to safety. The Bajorans on the transport become the Akritirians' latest detainees.
Turn Up the Heat Engineering Security Security
AND
Command
The Bajorans may not be able to harm the Akritirians outright, but they can make them as uncomfortable as their prisoners. Gain access to the security facility's environmental controls and make the guards sweat. Your away team overrides the security protocols on the facility's environmental controls and resets the temperature. It takes the guards days to turn off the heat, and they regret taking on their new prisoners. Lacking data on what temperatures Akritirians prefer, your away team only manages to make the Akritirian guards more comfortable for a few days until they reset the environmental controls you adjusted.

Delay Tactics Command
AND
Security
Command Security Security Worf managed to transported a group of Klingon prisoners to the Defiant, but Akritirian patrol ships are hot on their heels. Engage the patrol ships until the Defiant can get away. Wanting to delay the Akritirians but not start an all-out war, your away team carefully targets their propulsion systems. This slows the patrol ships down just long enough for the Defiant and its passengers to get away. DIALOGUE FAIL
Departed Souls Security
AND
Command
Command Security An escape attempt depressurized part of the Akritirian prison, slaying Koloth and Kang. This is no warrior's death. Their comrades have asked you to seek honor in their names and earn them entrance to Sto-vo-kor. Your away team single-handedly drive off a flotilla of Akritirian ships that was battling a disabled Bird-of-Prey, in Koloth and Kang's names. The Klingons promise that you've won the warriors entrace to Sto-vo-kor. Your away team skirmishes with several Akritirian patrol ships, but despite the damage to their shuttle, these acts are not nearly heroic enough to ensure the departed warriors a place in Sto-vo-kor.
Reporting for Duty Diplomacy Science Medicine The Klingon prisoners need an ally in the prison staff to facilitate their next escape plan. With her diplomatic background, K'Ehleyr has volunteered to masquerade as a guard, but first she'll need to look like an Akritirian. Converting K'Ehleyr's sagittal crest to look like an Akritirian's ridges takes hours of difficult surgery, but the procedure is successful. K'Ehleyr's new face and fake transfer orders allow her to infiltrate the prison staff. Your away team spends hours in surgery with K'Ehleyr, but they can't make her look Akritirian without permanently damaging her sagittal crest. She won't be able to infiltrate the prison guards as her Klingon self.
Security Override Command Engineering
AND
Security
Engineering Enraged at being held captive once again, Martok is leading an escape with other Klingon prisoners. If they are to make it, you'll need to disable the Akritirian warning system which alerts guards of security breaches. Your away team not only disabled the Akritirian warning system, they also rewired the alarms to go off whenever Akritirian vessels dock at the facility. Martok and his allies escape in the ensuing confusion. Your away team makes some modifications to the Akrititian warning system, but is unable to tell whether this will have the desired effect. When Martok is caught trying to escape, it is clear the attempt did not work.
The Invisible Plan Engineering
AND
Security
Security Engineering Captain Kirk has offered you the HMS Bounty, hoping its cloaking device will let you reach and rescue several prisoners. However, the cloaking device will need modifications to get past Akritirian security patrols. Your away team's modifications let the HMS Bounty slip right under the noses of Akritirian security. The ship's massive cargo bay allows you to take dozens of prisoners on board before spiriting them away to safety. Your away team's modifications allowed the HMS Bounty to get close to the detention facility, but then they caused the cloaking device to short out. The team barely escaped capture by Akritirian security.
The Red Wire Engineering Security Medicine Some Klingon prisoners have been implanted with a new clamp: one which will detonate if they leave the facility. Secret Agent Julian Bashir knows a thing or two about bombs, but he needs help disarming them. Your away team pours over remote scans of the prisoners to locate the bomb's detonation circuit. You send the prisoners coded instructions to cut a wire within the circuit, disabling it. They can now escape safely. Your study of the clamp's schematics doesn't reveal any way to identify or disable the bomb's detonation circuit. Each prisoner who attempts to escape has no way of knowing if their clamp will explode.
The Right to an Attorney Diplomacy
AND
Command
Command Diplomacy After his years on Rura Penthe, advocate Kolos has no fear of prison sentences. He's volunteered to be locked up by the Akritirians in order to help prisoners escape—but he'll need a convincing defense at his trial. Your away team presents a strategically flawed defense. It's a convincing display for the Akritirian judge, who has Kolos locked up. Now he's in a position to help his fellow prisoners with their escape plans. Your away team's defense is deliberately weak--a little too weak. The Akritirian judge suspects that you want Kolos to be locked up on purpose, and has him released in order to foil your plans.
Thicker Than Water Medicine
AND
Diplomacy
Security Diplomacy The prisoners' escape plans have stalled due to fighting between Klingons with the Augment virus and those without, who claim the former are no true Klingons. Prove their shared ancestry so they can work together. The away team not only presents a detailed history of the Augment virus, they also find that some of the Augmented and non-Augmented Klingons are from the same House. Both sides embrace their kin, humbled. The away team's attempt to prove that Augmented and non-Augmented Klingons are the same species only further enrages both sides. If both parties are going to escape, it seems they'll only do so separately.
Too Good to be True Diplomacy
AND
Command
Security Security
AND
Diplomacy
The prisoners will need to be able to defend themselves if they're going to escape the Akritirians' clutches. Find a way to sneak a stash of d'k tahgs into the detention facility. Your away team poses as a group of salespeople and sells the Akritirians a supply of food bars at an irresistable price. Unbeknownst to your eager buyers, each bar has a d'k'tahg hidden inside. Your away team tries to sell the Akritirians a supply of their usual food bars—each with a metallic d'k tahg center—but your knowledge of their prisoners' diets raises suspicions. The Akritirians refuse to bite.
Tunnel Kings Engineering
OR
Science
Engineering Klingon prisoners have been using brute strength and makeshift tools to try digging a passage to a neighboring compound. Hunt down schematics of the facility to make sure they don't tunnel out into space. It's hard to find schematics for a facility made on the other side of the galaxy, but the away team tracks down a Trabe architect with answers. They are just in time to stop the Klingons from breaching an exterior wall. It takes the away team days to find an up-to-date schematic of the Akritirian facility. In the time, the Klingons don't tunnel into space, but they do tunnel into a power conduit, leaving many injured.
