Middlehead

Middleheadtalk

I am nominating Middlehead to be an administrator on the Star Trek Timelines Wiki. He/She is a very active contributor who would benefit from having a few of the admin only tools such as the ability to delete pages.

I, Middlehead, accept this nomination for adminship. I have read the policies concerning administrators. I realise that this nomination may fail. If I do get community consensus, I promise not to abuse my tools because I realise that this is a serious offence. If the community finds that I have done so, my tools will be revoked, and in extreme cases I could be given a community ban. Signed, Middlehead (talk) 16:57, 17 May 2017 (CDT).

Questions for the nominee

1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?
That depends on what's available and needs attention, but I imagine I'll continue doing what I've been doing; adding new characters as they come, updating templates as DB changes things, and lately I've been starting to convert the orders of information on characters to match changes DB has already made (like the active and passive ship stats). One of the bigger things I'd like to do but haven't dug into yet is converting the item Database (Panel) back into just "Database." It's probably pushing a year since DB fixed the ambiguity there, so there's no need to have the item tagged that way anymore.Middlehead (talk) 16:57, 17 May 2017 (CDT)

2. What have been your most helpful contributions to the Star Trek Timelines Wiki, and why?
For a fair while now, I've been the one to post most of the new event character pages as the events go live. Even when I do buy the characters I usually don't do so right away, but I know others do and having the page ready for them to edit makes it easier for them to help everyone else.Middlehead (talk) 16:57, 17 May 2017 (CDT)

3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Haven't had any such things. I have noticed a few places where my preference for some minor formatting is different from others, but it's nothing to get worked up over. Generally, there's very little that actually bothers me.Middlehead (talk) 16:57, 17 May 2017 (CDT)
