Diplomacy The proposed suites for the Romulan resort are spartan by most other species' standards. Send an away team to design more comfortable living quarters—but not so comfortable that the Romulans will reject them. The away team's living quarter designs have fewer sharp edges and more lounge-worthy furniture than the original ones, but pay enough homage to Romulan architectural styles that the Romulans agree to use them. The away team's living quarter designs are elegant and luxurious by human standards, but unpleasantly self-indulgent to the Romulans, who immediately scrap the designs.
An Air of Hospitality Engineering Medicine Having claimed Benzar in the Dominion War, the Romulans are considering it as a resort location. First, though, they would need a self-contained atmosphere to make the resort's air breathable for non-Benzites. The away team constructs a scale model of a potential resort on Benzar, featuring an ingenious forcefield around the perimeter which would allow guests to wander outdoors while still breathing safe air. The away team's suggestion for a resort on Benzar is essentially a grounded space station, with no way for guests to enjoy the outdoors. Its security may appeal to Romulans, but is unlikely to attract other guests.

Diplomacy Senator Pardek is the loudest of several senators calling for Vulcans to be banned from any Romulan resort. Have an away team explain to him why excluding their distant cousins would be a poor diplomatic move. The away team makes it very clear to Senator Pardek that if Vulcans are forbidden from entering the Romulan resort, no other Federation species will attend either. He gruffly withdraws his proposal. The away team does their best to explain how Pardek's proposal will harm Federation-Romulan relations, but he remains adamant that allowing hated Vulcans into the resort is too much of a security risk to take.

Security The Romulan Senate won't host a resort on Romulus itself, but they might be persuaded to do so on one of their other territories, if you can devise adequate security measures for the building and its grounds. The away team's plan for resort security is so thorough that a Tal Shiar agent pulls them aside to commend its finer details. With the promise of such security, the Senate is more willing to fund a resort. Even after a 2 hour presentation on the away team's security plans for the resort, many senators remain worried that guests could gain access to nearby Romulan outposts or ships. They remain locked in debate.

Romulan ale is sure to sell well at the Romulan resort, but there's a reason why it's illegal in the Federation. Have a team concoct a hangover cure so guests can enjoy this potent drink with gentler consequences. Though no Romulans will stoop to using it themselves, the away team's hangover cure is a welcome remedy for every non-Romulan visitor to the resort who plans to try their famous Romulan ale. The away team's hangover cure for Romulan ale is effective, but so foul-tasting that their volunteer test subjects say they were better off without it. The Romulans' guests will have to cope the old-fashioned way.

As plans for the resort progress, some senators fear that this attraction, though a promising source of tourist funds, will be unsuitable for Romulans themselves. Provide a source of thoroughly Romulan entertainment. The away team writes a holoprogram in which Romulans can lead their ancestors' settlement of Romulus and Remus. The team's attention to historical detail is enough to make any Romulan proud. Digging through what public records they can find of Romulan pastimes, the away team learns a great deal about Romulan history and etiquette, but is still left puzzling over what exactly Romulans do for fun.

Konsab seems eager to Intimidate guests with the Romulan military's strength, until the away team mentions that the Senate will blame him if the resort sees a drop in attendance and income. He decides to relocate his drills. When the away team finishes describing how threatening Konsab's military drills might look to resort guests, the commander looks thoughtful, then smiles and replies, "Good."

Send an away team to help the skeptical senator enjoy herself enough to change her mind. By the time the away team escorts Senator Tal'aura home from Risa, she is not only in favor of the resort, she is also planning a return trip with other senators to show them the appeal of such places. The away team takes Senator Tal'aura to the brightest beaches and liveliest dance parties on Risa, which the business-like senator despises. She is even more opposed to funding a Romulan resort than ever.

The away team rounds up an impressive array of Strategama champions, including a first level grandmaster. Assured there will be ample competition, Romulan organizers begin planning the tournament. The away team can only find a few people interested in a Stratagema tournament, and Romulan players beat them easily within a couple of moves. Without decent competition, they lose interest in the tournament.

Investigate the authenticity of this potential construction material. Mudd's polyduranide shipment seems genuine at first glance, but the away team discovers that it has been mixed with a less durable alloy. Their analysis saves the Romulans from buying faulty construction materials. When the away team doesn't find anything unusual about Mudd's polyduranide shipment, the Romulans buy it. By the time they learn that is has been mixed with a cheaper and weaker alloy, Mudd is long gone.

Security Roga Danar was one of many people "enhanced" to be supersoldiers by the Angosians, only to be exiled when their war was won. There may be a home for Danar at the Augments' resort, if you can track him down. The away team finds Danar working as a mercenary on a cargo freighter. They convince the weary ex-soldier that he could have an easier life at the Augment resort as a martial arts instructor instead of a wanted vagabond. The away team begins tracking Danar on Angosia III, but they soon lose all traces of him. Even their most detailed scans are no match for a supersoldier who does not want to be found.

Left with no other choice, they agree to resume working on the new Augment resort on Regula. A few of the Augments make it to Casperia Prime before the away team can capture them. Unlike his gifted Augment siblings, Udar only has one enhanced ability: his sensitive hearing. Such a talent could make him an admirable musician, if he can be persuaded to believe in himself. With the away team's encouragement, Udar develops an ear for the difficult Bajoran klavion. He is so filled with newfound confidence that he volunteers to perform an original piece at the Augments resort. The away team convinces Udar to try his hand at a few musical instruments, but he can't find his footing with any of them. Udar will be left behind as his siblings showcase their talents at the Augment resort.
Heaven on Regula Engineering Science Early tests of Project Genesis transformed a cavern on Regula into a garden paradise. Help the Augments expand the cavern network and its delicate, one-of-a-kind ecosystem to be the site of their new resort. Thanks to the away team's scientific counsel, the Augments are able to expand the resort's cavern network while still maintaining its ecosystem. Lush plants soon flourish in the new caverns just as they did in the old. As the away team helps the Augments expand the resort's cavern network, they accidentally destabilize the fragile ecosystem it holds. Construction must halt as the Augments tend to the dying greenery within.

Engineering Framing their resort as a place to rejuvenate and expand the mind, the Augments want to recruit other great creatives such as Leonardo da Vinci, if anyone can convince him to set foot outside his workshop. With the promise that they will be by his side, da Vinci agrees to visit the Augment resort and share his thoughts and inventions. Her new sport doesn't have a name yet, but it does have a tagline: "Even more dangerous than parrises squares!" The Augments hope that having such a fair code of conduct may improve Starfleet's opinion of them. The Augments insist that the away team's charter favors their guests, while potential guests insist that it favors the Augments. No one will attend or work on the resort until it has a better code of conduct.

Surprised by their honesty, he cooperates, and comes up with a beautiful, science-themed wing for the Augment resort. After insisting that his people should be ruling other races, not catering to them, Khan Noonien Singh has disappeared. The other Augments fear he may violently sabotage the resort's construction if he is not found. It takes the entire team to subdue him, but they return him to the other Augments to be placed in custody. The away team tracks Khan to the surface of Regula, but once there, they can find no further sign of him. Construction continues at a slow pace, as the Augments wait for Khan's next move with bated breath.

Diplomacy Several legates doubt that a frivolous tourist resort could benefit Cardassians themselves. It would take a thorough medical briefing to convince such austere soldiers of the value of rest and relaxation. The away team demonstrates that moderate relaxation can improve Cardassians' quality of life - perhaps even extend their lifespans. Surprised but impressed, the legates withdraw their objections to the resort. Although the away team's medical arguments are compelling, they can't convince the Cardassian legates to abandon generations of austere habits for the possible health benefits of a tourist resort.

Engineering The Never Ending Sacrifice is arguably the greatest work of Cardassian literature, but not every tourist goes to resorts to read novels. Adapt this staggering epic into a manageable—and entertaining—play. The away team takes this repetitive epic and turns it into a thrilling play of love, loss, and struggle against inexorable fate. The Never Ending Sacrifice may sell even better as a resort play than it did as a novel. The away team's stage adaptation of The Never Ending Sacrifice is a long, repetitive affair that even the actors nearly sleep through. Such a play will do nothing to impress non-Cardassians with Cardassian culture.

The away team makes a passionate argument for depicting Damar's rebellion, rather than the invasion of Bajor, in a resort mural. After some thoughtful consideration, Central Command approves this substitution. Reminded of his passion for architecture, Kell begins drafting plans for the Cardassians' resort. Nothing the away team says or shows to Kell inspires him to begin creating again. The holodeck program's added suspense will entertain Cardassians and other guests alike.
