Genetic enhancement has been safe and legal on Denobula for centuries, and the Ferengi need to know what they know. A Starfleet away team could convince a few Denobulan scientists to help. Your away team convinced a group of Denobulan scientists to advise the Ferengi on species reassignment–in exchange for funding a study of their choice. Your away team was unable to convince any Denobulan scientists to help. Every being has its price, according to the Rules of Acquisition–you'll just have to find it.

Engineering Diplomacy Command The Ferengi have seized upon the entertainment potential of letting the public decide the best species for an individual seeking reassignment, and launched a televised competition: Choose My Species! Help promote this show throughout the Federation. Your away team's support for Choose My Species! has made it a hit across the Alpha Quadrant. Your away team is seen as sell-out shills for associating themselves with the disturbing Ferengi creation Choose My Species!

Diplomacy Diplomacy Genetic enhancement took Julian Bashir from the bottom of the class to Deep Space Nine. What could it do for your child? Have a team help the Ferengi promote this new spin on genetic enhancement. Your away team's efforts have countless parents traveling to Ferengi space in the hopes of helping their children get ahead via genetic enhancement. Your away team's campaign is not powerful enough to convince any parents to risk breaking the Federation's laws.

But as the ninety-sixth Rule of Acquisition says, "Nothing muddies the river of profit worse than clarity." Convince these Vulcans to show their support silently. Your away team counters logic with logic, and convinces Vulcan supporters of genetic enhancement to offer funding and resources rather than speeches. Your away team's arguments are not logical, and therefore ignored by Vulcan supporters of genetic enhancement. They will continue to speak out on the subject.

The real Ishka–also known as Moogie–has declared the surgically created Ishka–also known as Quark–to be an abomination. The Ferengi need respected Starfleet officers to defend The Ishka Formerly Known as Quark as just as valid a person as the original Ishka herself. Your away team succeeds in arguing that both Ishkas are equally valid Ferengi females with all the same (limited) rights afforded to them under Grand Nagus Brunt. Your away team is unable to convince Ferengi authorities that both Ishkas are equal. Enraged over the mere attempt, Rom and Quark's mother defects to the Alliance.

The Ferengi cannot imagine a better state of affairs, and would like Starfleet officers to make the introductions. Thanks to your away team, Moab IV officials and the Ferengi Traditionalists are on track to trade both knowledge and profits. Moab IV has heard a lot about the Ferengi Traditionalists, and none of it good. Despite your away team's efforts, they refuse to meet with Grand Nagus Brunt or his representatives.

Arik Soong is one of the pioneers in genetic enhancement research–but he's currently working with the Augments. The Ferengi are convinced this isn't anything a few bars of latinum and better facilities couldn't change. Send a team to make the offer to Soong. Your away team's generous offer on behalf of the Ferengi Traditionalists convinces Soong to switch sides–if only to get more research done. Your away team is unable to convince Arik Soong that the Traditionalists will offer him any more freedom to decide what to research than the Augments do.

The Son'a utilized genetic enhancement to stay alive, but they aren't exactly role models. Have a few Starfleet officers work with the Ferengi to transform the Son'a's "image." Your away team has polished Gallatin's image and made him the new Son'a spokesperson. As he condemns Ru'afo and talks about growing up Ba'ku, public opinion of both the Son'a and genetic enhancement begins to shift. Your away team has been unable to make the galaxy perceive the Son'a as anything other than ruthless schemers willing to sell out their own families for the fountain of youth.

Despite your away team's entreaties, Starfleet Command holds firm on the ban against genetically enhanced individuals serving in Starfleet.

Your away team was unable to convince the Vorta to act on the Traditionalists' behalf, even for the purpose of improved relations between the Ferengi and Dominion.

The Klingons' attempt at genetic engineering went horribly, resulting in the Augment virus and leading to the great enmity between the Klingons and the Augments today. The Augments hope to heal these wounds by showing the Klingons that they, too, can be enhanced safely. Assist the Augments in their research. Eureka! Your away team and the Augments have created a new breed of super strong, super intelligent, super hardy Klingon, with every ridge in sight. Your away team and the Augments have unfortunately failed again, creating a horrible new virus in which Klingon ridges spread over the face, eventually causing death.

The Augments need his support, but it will only be gained through modification of Bashir's attitude. Help capture Bashir so Augment physicians may perform this "adjustment." Your away team successfully captured a version of Julian Bashir and delivered him to the Augments. Now released, Bashir is publicly speaking out on the benefits of the Augments' genetic engineering procedures. Your away team is identified trying to kidnap Julian Bashir. Only the actions of skilled diplomats on your crew save them from court-martial.

Thanks to the Augments and your away team, the Hunters are now running FROM the Tosk, their former prey. Your away team was unable to capture a single Tosk, and thus unable to attempt turning them from prey to predator via genetic enhancement.

Your away team convinced a cautious few Jem'Hadar to undergo the Augments' procedures with excellent results. These Jem'Hadar are no longer addicted to ketracel white, and are spreading the news to others. Your away team is unable to convince any Jem'Hadar to trust the Augments. In fact, the two groups nearly come to blows when the Jem'Hadar threaten to inform the founders of the treachery.

They now live among the Augments freely, though their contact with other species remains limited. Even together, your away team and the Augments were unable to breach the quarantine. Your away team has recovered Amelia Earhart, Lord Byron, and Mahatma Gandhi for the Augments, who are unimpressed, as they hoped to be. Thus, he has agreed to be studied by the Augments. Your away team was unable to convince a horrified Icheb that Augment children would not also unknowingly be used as a weapon as he was. Academics, physicians, and armchair philosophers debate: which is the best half of a hybrid? Or is the hybrid itself superior? Your away team was trounced in some matches and victorious in others, but accomplished its ultimate goal: helping the Augments determine the strongest version of a hybrid. Genetic enhancement has been safe and legal on Denobula for centuries–why should the Cardassians reinvent the wheel?
