AND
An early antibiotic given to treat the illness is backfiring in many, causing a rapid evolution in the bacterium and giving rise to a strain resistant to the original antibiotic. The medical research team asks for your help in finding a solution.
Your medical officers manage to create a stronger version of the initial medicine and administer it to those who are in the early stages. They work up a new prototype for those with the resistant strain.
Your medical officers attempt to synthesize a stronger version of the original antibiotic, but it is not enough to combat the new, resistant strain.

Starfleet seeks to smooth things over with the Gorn and to hear their side, but indignity has made the Gorn more stubborn than usual and your crew is tasked with trying to persuade them.
You and your officers manage to get a meeting with a Gorn general. He is cynical about possibilities with the Federation, but your direct, yet diplomatic approach improves his impressions of Starfleet and he agrees to try and persuade his superiors.

You and your officers manage to schedule a meeting with a Gorn general, but when one of your officers drops too many references to the suspicions about the Gorn, the general throws you out of his office.

The Gorn-colonists match draws quite a crowd. Many who are visiting the planet are surprised at how much the Gorn have learned about baseball just from proximity with the colonists and the event seems to breed some cross-cultural openness.

Doctor Phlox poses a challenge to your crew–as Starfleet's medical and biological data on the Gorn is severely lacking, he asks for your help filling in the blanks, however you see fit.
Your crew manages to hack into a Gorn medical database and download as much relevant data as they can find without the Gorn being any the wiser.

Your security officers decide the best course of action is to sneak into a Gorn medical facility, but your crew is quickly detected and caught.

Doctor Pulaski asks your crew to help her acquire several samples of bacteria that are normally only found in parts of Cestus III settled by the reptilian creatures, preferably without them noticing.
Your crew manages to slip into Gorn territory and collect the requested samples, many of which are found in swampy areas. Pulaski hopes comparing them to the samples from the infected will provide clues to a cure.

Many of the doctors who have come to assist with the outbreak on Cestus III have also decided it would be advantageous to have another medical research facility to study the unique conditions of the Beta Quadrant and ask your help in setting it up.
Your officers help the medical team draft their proposal, connect them with colonists in Starfleet who could help, and help gather supplies. The medical team offers you their thanks.
Your officers bring up idea among a group of colonists, who immediately protest, as they feel their resources are already stretched too thin.

Sensors are picking up strange emissions of gasses from just outside Pike City and Saru asks your crew to go in and investigate.
Your crew manages to track the emissions to a deposit of minerals that are unique to Cestus III. The deposit is beneath the landing area for starcraft and the increased traffic puts pressure on the deposit, causing the minerals to give off toxic gas.
Your crew manages to track down where the gasses are most concentrated, but several crew members collapse, as they did not put on their hazardous material suits properly.
