This statement is seen as a threat by the Cardassians. Starfleet asks your crew to intervene. Though a public apology cannot be coaxed out of Dalby, you restate the rules of the match to the Cardassians, showing them Q has said nothing about Dalby's idea. You urge them to settle their frustrations in the ring. They promise you they will. DIALOGUE FAIL

Investigate the matter. Following leads on the artifacts, your crew finds Thomas Riker and Vash on their way to Risa with more stolen items. You also learn they were even working with the Ferengi to sell off the losing faction's homeworld. They are arrested on the spot. Your crew attempts to follow the various leads on the stolen artifacts, but can come up with no concrete leads.

Seeing boxing as an outlet for his aggression, Lon Suder takes a keen interest in it. However, his tendency to lose himself has other Maquis worried that he will go too far during the matches, leading to disqualification. They ask you to guide him. Your security officers go toe-to-toe with Suder in the ring once it's obvious that talking is ineffective. A knock-out fair and square seems to be the only way to get him to understand the value of fighting a clean fight. Your crew tries to talk some sense into Suder, but he is uninterested in listening. If the stakes are this high, who cares about the rules?

He wonders if the Federation will abandon its own once more? In spite of the risks of court martial or worse, your crew manages to find sympathetic fighters willing to join the Maquis for this match, provided they can fight masked in order to maintain their anonymity. Tulet agrees, however, on one condition: that your crew can outlast him. Four members of your crew go head-to-head with Tulet. His legendary stamina is vindicated in the ring, but your team is ultimately victorious. Exhausted but amused, Tulet says to tell the Maquis they better be up for it. Four members of your crew are selected to battle Tulet, but his legendary stamina was no joke! Even after fighting four fighters in succession, he still emerges victorious.

A Federation outpost is attacked and your crew is sent by Starfleet to investigate the matter. One of the security officers on hand believes the attack was launched by the Augments. Your crew investigates and learns that the Augments hacked a database containing biological information on several of the competing factions in the boxing tournament. Your crew investigates the outpost, but it appears that the damage done by the Augments outweighs what your crew can handle, so you instead focus on getting the survivors to safety.

Engineering Command Security Starfleet Command sends your crew to investigate a medical research facility that was broken into, leaving many of the personnel there in dire straits. Evaluating security data logs and footage reveals that Saul and a group of Augments broke into the facility and stole valuable medical equipment and research, ostensibly to use on themselves. You give chase, but they are long gone. Your crew tries to piece together information from data logs and security footage, but it is damaged beyond your engineering team's ability to repair.

Command Diplomacy Medicine A large outcry has arisen over the Augments' supposed advantage over many other participatory species. An Augment himself, Doctor Bashir intervenes and tasks your crew with finding a way to even the odds. Your crew assesses the range of Augment abilities versus those of other species and, with Doctor Bashir's help, comes up with a way to temporarily bring those abilities back within a normal range. Your crew works with Doctor Bashir to find a solution, but to no avail. On top of that, the Augments are insulted at the way they see you trying to restrain their abilities.

However, none of them can be located following their initial appearance. Find them. Your crew looks for the boxers and finds a distress call from Floyd Mayweather, struggling to use 24th century tech. He is at an Augment outpost, being augmented and prepared to fight with Tyson and several others. You take them to Starfleet.. Your crew searches for the boxers, and though they find a clumsy distress call from Floyd Mayweather, they are unable to locate him.

Command You get word that the Augments have been implanting data into the brains of their fighters regarding their potential opponents' strengths and weaknesses. The other factions are outraged, seeing this as unfair. Mediate the dispute. The Augments are not keen on the interference by the Federation but have agreed to a compromise--the other factions may have access to the data, but they'll have to go through it the old-fashioned way! The Augments are insulted that the Federation has tasked itself with trying to police their fighters and is unwilling to compromise in any way.
Pride Before the Fall Diplomacy

Command Medicine Security Malik laments that some of the Augments have become too proud, since their faction was recommended by Q himself, and thus refuse to train and prepare for the match. He fears that arrogance may be their downfall. Help the Augments focus. Your crew challenges the prideful Augments to a match with certain precautions in place. The tactic is effective, as experiencing defeat wakes the proud Augments up to the importance of training. Your crew tries to impress upon the Augments who Q is and how he will not hesitate to carry out his threat, but they refuse to listen.

Diplomacy Command Security Khan Noonien Singh contacts Starfleet, outraged. Several of his boxers have been attacked and some disabled during their training and he suspects the Federation is responsible. Clear the UFP's good name. Your crew investigates the matter of the injured boxers. Though they are hesitant to speak to members of Starfleet at first, they ultimately share the nature of their assault. One Augment thought they heard the phrase "Jolan tru" before the attack. DIALOGUE FAIL
The Missing Contenders Diplomacy

Engineering
Command Security Several perspective fighters have gone missing in known Augment space and Starfleet has tasked you with investigating the matter. Your crew evaluates the logs of the missing athletes and discovers they were taken by the Augments to fight preliminary matches so the Augments could see what they were up against. Your crew rescues them, but Q stops you from arresting the Augments. Your crew tries to locate the missing athletes, but is unable to track them down. It is made clear that the Augments are responsible, but they have made themselves scarce.

With Quark in the brig until the match is over, the hope is that there won't be any more distractions.
