Radio Silence: Augment

He is prototyping implants to allow communication with them and perhaps also to serve as a vessel for them. He asks for your help with the research.	Your away team is able to offer their own expertise while garnering valuable data for Doctor Soong, giving him ample information to move forward with a prototype. Many of your team members, however, lament his insistence on using them as guinea pigs.	Your away team attempts to work with Doctor Soong, but it quickly becomes clear he sees them more as guinea pigs than research partners.
Evolutionary Endurance	AND	AND	AND			Antaak has been tasked with identifying genetic traits that make certain individuals more able to handle the sound species, for the purpose of eventually breeding individuals with those traits. He asks for your help in identifying those factors.	Comparing several different genetic sequences, your medical and science officers are able to pinpoint several points in the sequences that may play a role in their resistance to the ill effects of the sound species	Your away team compares several genetic sequences and is unable to find a common factor.
Hollow Men		AND	AND			The Augments realize that androids and other synthetic beings may be capable of serving as hosts for the sound species. However, many of these synthetic beings object to being used this way, a fact which the Augments resent. Data asks for your help.	After speaking with some synths, you learn those who come into contact with the sound species suffer damage, especially those with positronic brains. Armed with this information, you persuade the Augments not to pressure any synth who isn't willing.	Your away team attempts to reason with the Augments, but their counterarguments are seen as nothing more than intrusive meddling.
Mental Wavelengths			AND	AND		Ever in pursuit of perfection, the Augments see value in studying the sound species, its impacts on the brain, and its possible relation to telepathy. They enlist your help with the research.	Most of your away team's research suggests that the existence of the species using sound waves is different from telepathy, but they do still provide some interesting information. At least your away team was lucky enough not to be experimented on.	Your away team researches the sound species, but finds no connection between them and telepathy.
Microdiplomacy	AND	AND	AND			A faction claiming rights to the area the sound species was found demands answers for all the traffic in the area. Reason with them.	Offering an explanation regarding to the sound species doesn't completely satisfy the faction, but they find your team amiable enough to give you a little longer to study the area.	Your away team attempts to introduce the faction to the sound species. The faction, believing you’re making fun of them, becomes angry and demands you leave immediately.
Natural Sound	AND			AND		Doctor Bashir is interested in studying the biology of the sound species and enlists your help with the microscopic creatures.	After tracking down highly specialized equipment and convincing the sound species to consent to an exam, you are able to get Doctor Bashir further information.	Your away team is unable to make any progress studying the sound species.
Quick to Anger		AND	AND			The crew of an Augment vessel interacts with the sound species and goes berserk, their ship ultimately going out of control. Khan asks you to help bring them back.	Your away team manages to intercept the ship and rescue the crew, even as they fight their own rescuers in a fugue state.	Your away team attempts to interrupt the ship, but their vessel is side-swiped and they are forced to withdraw.
The Depths of Space	AND	AND	AND			The discovery of the sound species highlights the amount of unknowns that exist across the galaxy. The Augments decide to develop sensors and special self-modulating shields for just such an unknown and rope you into the development process!	Your away team is able to develop and offer some potential prototypes that the Augments like.	Your away team in unable to construct any satisfactory prototypes for the Augments.

Radio Silence: Borg

Accustics	AND	AND	AND			The Borg are evaluating the possibility of using drones to provide a "medium" for the sound species. They request your help in researching possibilities.	Your away team finds an interesting possibility by using the Collective's hive mind to bear the weight of the sound species.	Your away team struggles to find any possible methods for the Borg to host the sound species.
Chime				OR	OR	The existence of the sound species has also raised the possibility of encountering other unconventional waves in space, so the Borg enlist your help in developing a method of identifying those waves.	Your scientists and engineers craft a system that emits a unique sound that changes based on the composition of the waves.	Your away team is unable to generate anything different from the existing technology.
Distinctiveness			AND	AND		While evaluating drones as potential hosts for the sound species, the Borg notice each assimilated species is impacted differently by the sound species' presence. They ask for your help with the research.	Comparing neurological scans and anatomical data, your away team is able to suggest the drones who may have the least problems with hosting the sound species.	Despite your away team's best efforts, they fail to come up with any satisfactory answers for the Borg.
Harmony	AND	AND	AND			The Borg evaluate the possibility of assimilating a species smaller than the nanoprobes they use. They ask for your help in determining whether or not this is possible.	Your away team evaluates the sound species and their results agree with the Borg's - that the sound species are essentially unable to be assimilated.	Your away team is unable to even figure out how to test this question without the physical assimilation capabilities of a drone.
Nanoride	AND		AND			Seven of Nine asks your away team to research possible ways the Borg's nanoprobes could be used to aide the sound species.	Though the Borg insist on heavy oversight, your away team still follow numerous hypotheses and come away with a few possible ways the nanoprobes might serve as a medium for the sound species.	With the Borg insisting on heavy oversight, your team isn't given a lot of room to experiment freely and thus come away with little in the way of results.
Out of Space	AND	AND	AND			The Borg are very interested in how the sound species managed to live and travel through space. They ask for your help in answering those questions.	Making use of the Borg's broad knowledge of the universe, including areas like fluidic space, your away team is able to offer up some well-founded possible answers.	Your away team is unable to find any plausible explanations.
Species Designation Unknown			AND	AND		The Borg have no preexisting data on the sound species and enlist your help in learning more about them.	Your away team compares historical records from the area where the species was found and share their findings with the Borg, hoping that eventually, the species will be able to fill in the blanks on their own.	Your away team is unable find any useful information regarding the sound species.
Stir of Echoes			AND	AND		The presence of the sound species actually seems to be carrying the deeply hidden individual thoughts of certain drones throughout the Collective. Investigate the issue.	Studying drones whose thoughts seem to be carrying, your away team learns these are mostly recently assimilated drones. It raises an important issue the sound species may cause with the Collective as a whole.	Despite your away team's best efforts to study the problem, they can find no answers nor solutions.

Radio Silence: Federation

Best Control	AND			AND		A Romulan crew who suffered the ill effects of the sound species is now headed to the area they were discovered with a sonic weapon. Stop them!	Your away team manages to intercept the Romulan crew. After engaging them in a brief battle, they are able to persuade the Romulans to stand down, for now.	Your away team attempts to stop the Romulan ship but is quickly defeated in battle.
Good Vibrations		AND	AND			Your away team is asked to research interstellar clouds to see which would provide the best new home for the sound species.	Your away team compares the frequency the sound species currently reside on with magnetic and sound frequencies emanating from certain interstellar clouds and red giants and is able to provide a decent-sized list.	Your away team is unable to find any potential new homes.
Intergalactic Rhythm			AND	AND		Uhura and several other communications officers are running an experiment to see if certain radio and comm equipment can relay the species. She asks for your help in setting up the experiment.	Working together with Uhura and offering up some of their own experience, your away team manages to successfully run the experiment, leading to some promising results.	A few crossed wires on the part of one of your away team members shorts out the comm equipment, causing the experiment to be a bust.
Low-Frequency Love Songs	AND	AND	AND			A crew member who was aboard one of the vessels impacted by the sound species continues to hear voices. The chief medical officer on their ship asks you to investigate.	It seems the voice calling her name is one of the sound creatures stuck between her ears, echoing the words of another crew member who had feelings for her. After the sound creature is moved, she resolves to find her secret admirer.	Your medical officers investigate, but are unable to determine why she continues to hear voices calling her name, as the sound species do not call anyone else by name.
Parasites and Symbiosis				OR	OR	The plight of the sound species brings up a broader ethical question regarding species whose mere presence endangers another. Picard asks your away team to facilitate a discussion.	Your officers research past similar cases and lead a discussion with various Federation scientists. While there are still many details to hammer out, it appears the UFP is on the way to an ethics policy that will best serve both parties.	Your away team attempts to lead the discussion, but their lack of knowledge and research leaves most of the parties present cold and reticent.
Riding the Waves	AND	AND	AND			The appearance of the sound species has also suggested the need for upgrades to Federation starships to prevent future issues. Geordi La Forge asks your away team [to] help him prototype some possible solutions.	Your engineers lead a test of several possible fixes and upgrades. Geordi is impressed and pleased with all the possibilities you’ve brought him.	Your away team struggles to come up with any potential fixes.
The Sound of Silence	AND			AND		When the lab where the sound species are temporarily housed is broken into and the species stolen, you are dispatched to rescue them.	In hot pursuit, your away team tracks a Dosi ship, seeing great value in this newly discovered species. You thwart their plans and rescue the species unharmed.	Your away team is unable to locate the sound species.
Through the Fungus	AND	AND	AND			Stamets enlists your help to see whether or not the mycelial network is a viable new home for the sound species.	While your team finds some interesting possibilities, there is still a lot of research and work to overcome the species themselves being consumed once inside the mycelia network.	Your away team is unable to make enough progress to have sufficiently satisfactory answers.
