Array of Uses Engineering Science Science A team of scientists working on the MIDAS array believe they can adapt it to emit deflector beams for use against Picard's fleet. Starfleet wants an analysis of the proposal to ensure that the array won't be damaged. The scientists' proposal was on the right track, and thanks to some crucial corrections by the away team, they were able to temporarily adapt the MIDAS array to emit deflector beams. It will be a powerful weapon against Picard's ships. The away team approved the adaptation of the MIDAS array into a powerful deflector array, but within the first hour of testing, one third of the array's panels overloaded. They missed several crucial design flaws in the scientists' proposal.

Diplomacy Several captured Terran officers have offered to go back to Picard as double agents, but Starfleet does not want to end up bolstering his forces. Have an away team interview the prisoners and assess their intentions. Based on their interviews, the away team cleared several prisoners to gather intel for Starfleet, while recommending that the most over-eager ones be kept in custody lest they try to play triple agent for Picard. All of the prisoners gave convincing explanations for their willingness to turn on Picard, but they were too convincing for either the away team or Starfleet to trust them. They will remain in custody for the time being.

Tachyon detection grids have kept cloaked ships from crossing the Romulan Neutral Zone. In order to deploy such a grid in key systems, Starfleet's Terran Empire allies will need to be outfitted with tachyon beams. The away team retrofit the deflectors aboard Emperor Spock's warships, allowing them to emit tachyon beams. With additional ships to deploy, Starfleet can extend its detection grid along the Federation's borders. Overhauling Terran Empire deflector arrays to emit tachyon beams will take more time than the away team has, and keep Emperor Spock's ships in drydock. Starfleet will have to leave its tachyon grid as it is for now.
Every Second Counts Security Science Engineering Saturn's moon Mimas hosts an emergency evacuation station which may soon see heavy use. If you can outfit the facility with additional transporters, its staff can rescue more personnel from damaged ships. The away team was able to double the evacuation station's transporter capacity and shave precious seconds off of their usual rematerialization speed. The staff will be able to save many more lives in the coming battle. Mimas's emergency evacuation station was designed as a failsafe, not a dedicated rescue and recovery facility, and the away team could only install one additional transporter to help its staff in the coming battle

Hoping that the mirror universe's Geordi La Forge knows her counterpart as well as she knows his, Doctor Leah Brahms wants to lure him out into the open. She'll need an away team standing by to spring the trap. After Doctor Brahms sent a general transmission requesting a meeting with La Forge, his ship materialized at the rendezvous point. Though it vanished as soon as the away team opened fire, they gathered valuable data about its cloaking mechanism. DIALOGUE FAIL

A Hierarchy captain offered to let Starfleet study his ship's auto-regenerative shielding, but he was attacked by Picard's fleet en route to the Sol system. Send a rescue team to bring the captain and his ship to safety. The away team wove their way through a few remaining Terran ships and transported the captain and his ship's shield generator to safety. The grateful captain has promised to help Starfleet replicate his former ship's auto-regenerative shields. A few of Picard's ships were still lingering around the damaged Hierarchy scout ship when the away team arrived. Despite fierce fight, the away team was unable to break through their lines to the ship.

Science Picard has recruited a band of Gorn mercenaries, and their boarding parties have destroyed many Starfleet ships. Starfleet needs a crash course to teach officers to defend themselves against the Gorn. The away team's training program ran officers through ways to use their own ships' systems as a weapon against the Gorn. Armed with new ideas about force fields and makeshift weapons, they should be ready to face Picard's Gorn mercenaries. DIALOGUE FAIL

Several officers have been detained for fighting with allied Terran Empire soldiers, claiming they are more spies for Picard. If Starfleet cannot get its people to trust their allies, it will be fighting on two fronts instead of one. The away team's images of the fighting and devastation on the Terran Empire's homeworld has convinced many skeptical officers that their Terran allies are as invested in this fight as they are. The away team's defense of their Terran Empire allies only earned jeers and accusations from the suspicious officers. They've continued to denounce Emperor Spock's aid as yet another attempt to infiltrate the Federation.

Engineering Command Picard's forces led a surprise attack against Jupiter Station, sending a large section of the station falling out of orbit towards Jupiter. If you cannot restore its power in time, it may not be able to escape Jupiter's gravity. The away team boarded the detached section of the station and restored power to its thrusters just in time to pull it out of Jupiter's gravity well. Starfleet will repair the station more properly once there is no longer a threat of invasion. With the detached section of the station moving too rapidly for transporters, the away team attempted to enter it via shutlle, but sustained heavy damage. With every passing second, the detached section falls deeper into Jupiter's gravity well.

Security Command Should Picard's fleet somehow make it to Earth, many civilians will need shelter in case of orbital attack. Starfleet Command wants evacuation plans drawn up to keep its people safe. The away team's evacuation plans made maximal use of all the shielded buildings and vessels available to Starfleet, including evacuating civilians onto shielded transports should other shelters run out of space. The away team could not arrange shelter for the overwhelming number of Earth citizens who lack access to ships or buildings with deflector shields. Starfleet Command will continue working on the problem, but who knows how much time they'll have.
Line of Sight Engineering Command Engineering The Enterprise NX-01 once used quantum beacons to find cloaked ships, but Starfleet believes that with an away team's help, they can scale that technology up to outfit satellites and orbital sensor arrays. The away team not only developed a large-scale quantum beacon, they also helped equip Jupiter Station and other orbital outposts with the technology. This should give Starfleet advance warning if any cloaked ships approach. The away team was unable to extend the quantum beacons' range long enough to make them worth deploying on large-scale sensor arrays. Starfleet will settle for installing the few beacons they have on starships.

Medicine A cloaking device can keep a ship hidden, but it cannot hide the thoughts of its crew. Several Aenar have volunteered to serve as telepathic lookouts, but they will need support and assistance to verify their findings. The away team kept the Aenar on a rotating schedule, allowing them to rest between telepathic searches, and alerted Starfleet Command whenever the Aenar detected minds where no ships could be seen. The away team tried to coach the Aenar to use their telepathic abilities as surveillance tools, but even an hour spent spreading their minds proved too taxing.

Medicine Diplomacy Only the Mark IV Emergency Medical Hologram is currently active in Starfleet, but Voyager's EMH believes his fellow Mark I's could help in the fight against Picard. He wants a team to plead their case to Starfleet. The away team helped Voyager's EMH update his fellow Mark I's medical databases, and together they convinced Starfleet to let his holographic brethren serve in sickbays once more. Their assistance has already saved lives. Despite the clear need for medical personnel during Picard's invasion, Starfleet refused to let discharged Mark I holograms take up medicine again citing concerns about their skills and bedside manner.

Geordi La Forge wants to use his mirror counterpart's role in the invasion to Starfleet's advantage. Help him prepare a holographic message as his counterpart to redirect Picard's forces away from vulnerable outposts. Using La Forge's features as a template. the away team created a lifelike hologram of his mirror counterpart. It was convincing enough that Picard's fleet obeyed its orders directing them into a Starfleet ambush. La Forge did a decent impression of his mirror counterpart's voice, but the away team could not get the details of the face just right. Picard's forces easily saw through their holographic impersonation.

Starfleet wants to set up minefields near strategic locations in the Sol System, but first they'll need a way for the mines to tell Starfleet ships and allied Terran Empire ships from Picard's fleet. The away team programmed subspace mines to temporarily deactivate in response to a specific subspace frequency. Starfleet and its allies can use that frequency to pass safely through their new minefields. Programming subspace mines not to harm anything with a Starfleet warp signature was simple, but the away team could not find a way to keep them from harming allied Terran Empire ships in addition to Picard's.

Security Starfleet has clashed with several of Picard's ships in the asteroid belt, which they have been using as cover for strikes against Federation outposts. Send reinforcements before those ships get any closer to Earth! Weaving between asteroids and debris, the away team managed to turn the tide and capture most of the Terran ships. The rest of Picard's fleet may still be out there, but for now, Earth remains safe. The away team exchanged phaser fire with one of Picard's ships before it fled back into the cover of asteroid belt. They've been unable to find, let alone capture any ships.

Command Engineering Thanks to Emperor Spock, Starfleet has several Terran Empire ships at its command. If the away team can help one of those ships convincingly "defect" to Picard, they may be able to follow it to his fleet. The away team equipped two shuttles with remote piloting controls and allowed one of their Terran allies to destroy them during a skirmish. Impressed by the display, Picard accepted the Terran "defectors," who can now gather intel on him. The away team ordered a Terran Empire ship to fire upon them during a skirmish with Picard's fleet, but Picard must have recognized the superficial damage as a sign that they were feinting. He did not respond to the ship's request to join him.

The Suliban Sarin has offered to lend the Federation several cloaking devices, leveling the playing field between Starfleet and Picard's forces, but an away team will need to adapt them for use on Starfleet ships. The away team constructed a series of adapters and power converters that should allow any Starfleet ship to use Suliban cloaking devices. Sarin has promised to lend Starfleet as many as she can. The away team could not adapt Suliban cloaking devices to draw from modern Federation power conduits. The devices will work for a minute at most before inevitably overloading.

Engineering Hekaran signal buoys can disable ships at close range, an invaluable defense against Terran Empire ships sneaking into the Sol system. Help Hekaran scientists construct enough buoys for Starfleet to deploy. The away team successfully programmed an industrial replicator to handle most of the construction process, allowing them to prepare hundreds of Hekaran signal buoys to hold the line against Picard's fleet. The away team could only expedite the construction process so much, leaving them with just a few Hekaran signal buoys to give to Starfleet. Starfleet will have to deploy these defenses sparingly.
