A group of scientists have located a planet that shows potential for terraforming - if only they can find a way to deal with a strange miasma circling the planet.
Your away team takes samples and studies the gas. Because it so omnipresent, the only option for settlers would be biodomes. Some are willing to take on that effort and offer their deepest thanks.
While taking samples from the gas, one of your team member's suits is punctured and they must be rushed to sickbay.

As factions prepare for the shift in power once Romulus is destroyed, the ability to find - or take - a planet seems an enticing way to wield that power for many. Help protect nearby planets from uninhibited ambitions.
Your away team monitors sensor readings around likely targets and moves on any potential threats.
Your away team spreads themselves too thin trying to protect several possible targets and misses an actual attack.

A possible planet for relocation has been identified, but the first Romulan evacuees become critically ill. Determine the cause and an appropriate treatment.
Your away team finds a microscopic parasite that is indigenous to the planet, but can be filtered out of water for drinking, cooking, and bathing and returned to nature. They are also able to treat the ill Romulans.
Your away team is unable to determine the cause.

Chakotay enlists your away team to help identify planets across the galaxy with similar conditions to Romulus and Remus.
Your away team generates a database of planets with similar atmospheric and meteorological conditions to Romulus, noting especially those that have species more likely to accept the Romulans.
Overwhelmed by the task, your away team struggles to create a useful list of planets with comparable conditions to Romulus.

While the primary focus has been on the Romulan people themselves, there is also concern from the scientific community over flora, fauna, and other species that will be lost when Romulus is destroyed. They ask for your help with conservation efforts.
Your away team begins cataloguing species, collecting seeds, and rehoming some of each species to ensure they survive the supernova.
While attempting to collect seeds from a Romulan succulent, one of your team members pricks his finger and is poisoned.

The Maquis have more vessels than most realize, however, many of them have fallen into disrepair. They have offered to use their vessels to help with the evacuation, but they will need your help repairing them first.
Your away team not only assists the Maquis with repairs, but offers upgrades for many of their vessels.
Your away team isn't familiar with some of the technology the Maquis have had to source due to lack of supply, and thus they are unable to assist in repairs.

A group of Maquis colonists have built and begun living on their own generational ship. They offer to help the Romulans design their own, though the Romulans are reluctant. Oversee the process.
Despite some reluctance and distrust from the Romulans, they quickly take to the idea. Your away team helps them acquire components and begin construction on a generational ship.
Tensions are already high over the impending supernova, and the Romulans quickly sour relations with the Maquis.

As efforts are underway to find worlds and species that will take the Romulans in, many are wary. However, some groups have offered to begin taking in Romulans in small groups to prepare for a larger migration. Ensure the process goes smoothly.
Your away team helps transport and settle some Romulan families. They help the Romulans integrate into their new homes.
There is a great deal of friction between the Romulans and the species on whose world they have settled. Ultimately, they choose to leave.
