- There are multiple versions of characters in Star Trek Timelines
- There will be three versions of Janeway at launch:
- Janeway as Queen Arachnia

Rachel: Hi welcome to Dev Talk with Star Trek Timelines, I'm Rachel I'm the Production Intern, this is Tim our Lead Game Designer, we're here to talk to you about our first look for Captain Janeway. She's my favourite
Tim: Is she?!
Rachel: Yeah
Tim: Yeah alright, I think for anyone top 5
Tim: So the cool thing about the timeline anomaly is that you don't just get multiple characters you get multiple version of characters so you're not just going to be able to recruit Janeway to your crew, we have a couple different versions of Janeway. There's a Janeway as Queen Arachnia, there's really sort of phaser rifle carrying Janeway who's running into danger, sees a fire runs towards it, and there's sort of a more sedate captain Janeway holding her cup of coffee that she loves so much. We really wanted iconic Janeways for launch, there's lots of different version of every character but we wanted the ones that people really remember and that are really emblematic of the Janewayness of Janeway and these three hit that mark. Janeway's always good at command, she came up through the science division so she has some science capabilities but she also has particular traits, she's particularly good - the different versions are particularly good, at different types of challenges within the game, and then the other thing we're doing is figuring out what all her equipment is, what are the things that you can add to her character that will improve her and allow her to continue to grow and be a useful member of the crew
Rachel: What's your favourite Janeway Tim?
Tim: Spider Barclay!
Tim: I wanna say Queen Arachnia, because she looks so great, it's a great role for Janeway, but I actually really like Janeway with her cup of coffee because she has that command and bringing the ship together and exudes that captainness she has
