Kortar, the first Klingon, has returned to Qo'noS. He claims he remembers nothing of his time on the Barge of the Dead, but written accounts of his history may help, if you can recover them from the zealots.
Searching through ancient Klingon databases, the away team pinpoints scrolls concerning Kortar and retrieves them from under the zealots' noses. The more of them Kortar reads, the more details he remembers about Gre'thor.
The away team found references to relevant mythological scrolls, but they are in a library controlled by the zealots. With no way to gain access to them, Kortar's memory of the Barge of the Dead remains blank.

The Vhnori's death rituals transport their dead via subspace vacuoles to a place they once believed to be their afterlife. Study these vacuoles to learn if such a phenomenon could ever lead to Gre'thor.
The away team confirms that none of the vacuoles on the Vhnori homeworld connect to Gre'thor. However, given their unique transdimensional properties, a similar vacuole located elsewhere could form the entrance to Gre'thor.
The away team studies dozens of vacuoles across the Vhnori homeworld, but they cannot say for certain whether all lead to the same location, or whether one or two may lead elsewhere, even to Gre'thor.

Koroth once arranged for Kahless's return on Boreth, but now he seeks Gre'thor with the zealots. His knowledge of Klingon history and religion could be invaluable, if you can remind him of his loyalties.
The away team's studies of Klingon tradition gave them the right words to shake Koroth's faith in the zealots. He still dreams of seeing Gre'thor in this lifetime, but he will help the Empire, not its enemies, find it.
The away team argues themselves hoarse, but they could not persuade Koroth to abandon the zealots' cause. With him on their side, they have a good chance of finding Gre'thor before the Empire does.

B'Elanna Torres once survived a visit to Gre'thor, but Starfleet has recently reported her missing during a visit to Qo'noS. Find B'Elanna and learn what you can about her close brush with Gre'thor.
The away team tracks B'Elanna to an orphanage where they find her defending its residents from a group of zealots. Once they help drive off the zealots, B'Elanna promises to share everything she remembers about Gre'thor.
B'Elanna's recently recorded movements within the First City are erratic, and the away team cannot predict where she might have gone. Starfleet will continue its search for her, but for now she remains in the wind.

Many stories of Gre'thor tell of its jagged walls and the dark, barren landscape that surrounds it. It might be possible to adapt a ship's planetary scans to search for worlds matching that description.
After boosting their ship's sensor resolution, the away team programmed its computer to report any planets with terrain matching Gre'thor's unique parameters. Now it's a matter of searching for the right results.
The away team's planet scanning algorithm led to dozens of false positives. They will need to refine their search parameters to have any hope of locating Gre'thor.

Remembering a timeline in which his own father died a dishonorable death, K'mtar, once called Alexander Rozhenko, has asked for Starfleet's help capturing a group of zealots to learn what they know of Gre'thor.
Thanks to the away team's help, K'mtar captured several zealots in an ambush. The away team's probing questions infuriated one of the zealots enough that, while trying to insult his captors, he gave away some intel they had gathered on Gre'thor.

The Sea of the Dead

Some Klingon priests have theorized that the "blood-red waters" surrounding the Barge of the Dead could refer to a nebula or anomaly housing the entrance to Gre'thor. Search nearby sectors for places that fit the myth.
The away team's research led them not to a nebula, but to an asteroid field made up of an unusual, blood-red mineral. The Klingon Empire will focus its search on the star systems the field covers.
The away team poured {sic} over dozens of stories about the Barge of the Dead, but even though all were consistent in their descriptions of the barge's path, they did not lead the away team to any physical location.

In the Boreth monastery, many Klingons fast and pray to seek visions of Kahless. If an away team can readily induce the same mental state, their Klingon allies can seek visions of Gre'thor's location.
Through exercise and mind relaxants, the away team managed to induce a state of lucid, wakeful dreaming. None of their patients have glimpsed Gre'thor yet, but several have had visions of the Barge of the Dead.
The away team's attempt to medically induce visions left their patients exhausted and their minds clouded. They will have to seek signs of Gre'thor via more traditional means.

A Klingon captain reported that his crew was attacked by Fek'lhr while surveying a potential colony site. Visit the site and determine whether they truly encountered the guardian of Gre'thor.
Gathering blood and fur samples from the area where the crew was attacked, the away team identified their attacker as a large, bipedal mammal native to the planet. It is no Fek'lhr, but it is still a fearsomely powerful creature.
From the Klingon crew's testimony and the large footprints in the area of the struggle, it is clear that they were attacked by a massive beast, but the away team could not track it down to identify it.

Kohlar's search for the kuvah'magh led him to a collection of ancient texts, some of which may contain stories of Gre'thor. They are in a dialect too old for him to translate, but perhaps a Starfleet team will prevail.
Comparing Kohlar's scrolls to other records from the same era, the away team completed a passable translation of the text. Its descriptions of Gre'thor and the fate awaiting those sent there are more detailed any Kohlar has ever seen.
Your away team was only able to translate a few words from the scrolls Kohlar found, and even those translations are approximate at best. They will have to search for newer accounts of Klingon myths.
