Vorta doctors want you to hunt down some of the far-flung Hundred Changelings who the Founders sent out centuries ago, so they can compare their thousands of sick patients to a few healthy ones.
After chasing several dozen false leads, the away team finds a single member of the Hundred living as a fire wolf on Dakala. It is eager to meet other Changelings, and the Vorta are glad to have a healthy patient to test.
The away team chases rumors of the Hundred Changelings across more moons and planets and through more nebulae than they can count, but they still cannot locate a single one.

The unique physiology of Xindi-Insectoids makes them difficult to treat, and their distrust of humans hardly helps. Conduct some discreet scans of Insectoid patients to better understand their biology.
Once the away team's scans get past the Insectoids' exoskeletons, they gain a much clearer picture of these Xindi's organ and tissue systems. This breakthrough will make it much easier to treat them.
The away team has trouble getting the bioscanners to penetrate the Insectoids' exoskeletons. When they attempt some scans at a closer range, their patients take notice and begin clicking and clacking angrily.

The Founders and the Xindi Council have asked you to compare the new virus to all viral weapons known to the Federation. Examining such weapons will be dangerous for even the most skilled scientists.
After delicately examining dozens of viral weapons, the away team found no connection between any of them and the new virus. They have, however, come up with a new theory of how the virus might be replicating itself.
While attempting to study a sample of T'Lani and Kellerun harvesters, the away team accidentally destabilizes their containment field. They evacuate while the research facility is shut down, although thankfully no one is infected.

The Think Tank's artificial intelligence may be able to calculate the disease's self-replication mechanisms, if you can make this dry scientific endeavor worth such an artistic being's time.
The away team appeals to the AI's creativity, describing the mystery this new disease holds. Within a few hours, the intrigued AI presents a model of its replication mechanisms, along with a sculpture of its structure.
The away team's most eloquent arguments can't convince an artificial intelligence that this disease is more interesting than any of the other statistical models it has constructed throughout its long life.

The Dinaali hospital ship has both the room and advanced facilities needed to treat infected Xindi-Aquatics, if you can rewrite its allocator program to accept them as new, high-priority patients.
The away team adjusts the allocator's subroutines so that it places its new Aquatic patients in the Dinaali's hospital ship's Level Blue, where they will receive the best care.
The away team enters the sick Aquatics into the Dinaali hospital ship's system, but its allocator program immediately places them on Level Green, where little actual treatment is ever provided.

The fractious Xindi Council is fighting once again, with the Reptilians blaming the Arboreals for infecting their people, the Arboreals blaming the Primates, and so on. Talk them down before they start another civil war.
The away team's warning about a new civil war chills even the warm-blooded Xindi. Humbled, they finally stop pointing fingers and fins and begin focusing on joint treatment efforts for their infected people.
Each time the away team defends one species from accusations of causing the new disease, the others take it as proof of their guilt. The away team decides to leave the Xindi Council before making things even worse.

Crell Moset is as renowned for his work on exobiology and viruses as he is despised for his methods. Monitor the doctor's research on this new virus to ensure that he conducts it ethically.
The away team monitors Moset's work in shifts, never allowing him a moment alone with patients or viral samples. They are rewarded when Moset discovers a formula that will slow the virus's degenerative effects.
Moset puts on a show of the good behavior for the away team, but is later found to be infecting healthy Xindi to study the virus's effects. The away team has him hauled away to a tribunal before the outraged Xindi get their hands on him.

Several Founders fled Xindus in an attempt to escape infection. Their symptoms set in not long after they left, stranding them dangerously close to a Delphic Expanse sphere unless a team can rescue them.
The away team gets as close as they can to the stranded Founder vessel and uses a tractor beam to free them from the Delphic Expanse sphere. The Founders can safely be taken back to Xindus for additional care.
The away team strays too close to the Delphic Expanse sphere while trying to rescue the sick Founders, and their hull is nearly shattered by gravimetric distortions before they can flee.

The Changeling's unique physiology makes them immune to many common illnesses, but it also makes them immune to most analgesics. Come up with a new compound to help soothe infected Changelings.
The away team studies Changelings' cellular structure and realizes that radiation therapy would be the best way to alleviate their pain, not injected analgesics. They begin settings up therapeutic radiation chambers.
Despite test after test, the away team cannot come up with an analgesic that works on a Changeling's morphogenic matrix. The Changelings affected by this new disease will simply have to endure.

To improve their quarantine procedures, the Founders have asked for help estabilishing the new virus's method of transmission. Construct an accurate simulation so this can be tested without actual living test subjects.
The away team's week-long effort pays off when their simulation proves that the virus, while transmitted by touch among Changelings, has mutated to be aerially transmittable among Xindi.
The away team's simulation of the new virus seems accurate at first, but when it suggests that the virus infects Xindi-Insectoids through an organ system they do not have, the team must re-examine its variables.

The Darwin Genetic Research Station's children live in quarantine due to their aggressive immune systems, but with careful exposure, they could be used to generate an antibody against this new disease.
Using a containment field, the away team exposes tissue samples from the children to this new disease, then collects the antibodies they generate. It's no cure, but it may help the Founders and Xindi resist the disease's symptoms.
While gathering antibodies from the children, the away team is exposed to their immune systems, which begin generating antibodies against the away team. Both parties have to receive emergency medical care.

With hundreds of ships passing through the Xindus system each day, the Xindi have asked for help pinpointing which ship may have brought this new disease to their world.
The away team discovers that the first person to be infected was a Founder who inspected a small runabout from the Muratas Star Cluster. Curiously, no government or company from that region recognizes the vessel.
The away team can't even pin down the exact day this new epidemic began, let alone determine which of the vessels on those potential days could have been carrying the disease.

A crew of desperate, infected Reptilians have attacked a Vulcan ship whose cargo hold was full of terakine. Convince the feverish crew that you can offer them treatment if they let their quarry go unharmed.
Appealing to the Reptilians' pride, the away team convinces them that stealing terakine is beneath them. They agree to return to Xindi space with the promise that the away team will bring them medical supplies.
The away team's overtures only anger the desperate Reptilians further. They injure most of the Vulcan crew in their haste to get away with the stolen terakine before the away team can retaliate.

Doctor Katherine Pulaski literally wrote the book on linear models of viral propagation, but she was detained by a group of suspicious Aquatics on her way to help treat the disease. Negotiate the doctor's release.

The away team briefs Pulaski on the new disease's symptoms, and with their help, she gives such an impressive overview of potential cures from her holding cell that the Aquatics agree to release her.
The more the away team describes Dr. Pulaski's credentials, the more her Aquatic captors become convinced that such a talented scientist could have been behind their disease. For now, she remains in their custody.

The new virus seems to be slowing Xindi-Arboreals' already slow metabolisms to the point where they are nearly catatonic. Find a stimulant that can safely revive Arboreal patients from their stupor.
The away team finds that a risky cocktail of ADTH and cordafin is just the thing to temporarily reboot sick Arboreals' metabolisms, even if it contains enough stimulants to send most other species into shock.
The away team tests a variety of stimulants on Arboreal patients. The best of these has no apparent effect, but the worst sends an Arboreal patient straight into a coma.

One of the Weyouns wants help calming a Founder who has gone berserk in the late stages of their new disease. Subdue the infected Changeling without causing any further harm.
It is no small feat to subdue a constantly shifting, pain-maddened Changeling, but the away team does so with only a few scratches to show for it. Starfleet puts official commendations in each of their records.
The away team's attempts to approach the pain-maddened Changeling cause it to lash out in whatever form it can think of. When it charges at them in the shape of a Rigelian ox, they admit defeat.

The Ba'ku are very protective of their home and its rejuvenating properties. Convince them to allow the sickest Xindi and Founders to visit, in the hopes that planet's metaphasic radiation will buy them some time.

The away team reassures the Ba'ku that the sick Xindi and Founders would only be on their planet for a short time until a cure is found. They finally agree to allow these sick guests to stay in a quarantined zone.
No matter what the away team says about the Xindi and Founder lives that are at stake, the Ba'ku remember the last time someone sought their planet's healing properties all too well. They will not allow any visitors.

The Founders once infected the Teplans with an agonizing, untreatable blight, and now they fear that the Teplans may have infected them as revenge. Visit the Teplans and investigate the truth of these theories.
Although the Teplans have plenty of reason to hate the Founders, the away team proves that they had no means to engineer or transmit such a sophisticated virus. The Teplans thank you for sparing them from further Changeling wrath.
The away team finds no hard proof that the Teplans are behind the Founders' current illness, but they cannot exonerate them, either. Many Founders are demanding that the Teplans be wiped out once and for all.

No one is quite sure whether Doctor Elias Giger's cellular regeneration and entertainment chamber is a hoax or a medical breakthrough. Have an away team determine whether it could offer any benefits to sick Founders.
The away team modifies Giger's regeneration chamber to stabilize the morphogenic enzymes of sick Founders. It may not be much help to other species, but it will help keep the Founders alive.
The away team can't tell whether Giger's chamber is keeping the Founders' cells entertained, but it certainly isn't doing anything to help them regenerate.

Some Xindi and Founders blame the temporal anomaly crisis for their current disease, but the right temporal anomaly could provide a form of stasis for the sickest patients. Conduct a survey of nearby anomalies.
The away team locates a temporal anomaly in which time passes twenty times more slowly than normal. Submerging the sickest Founders and Xindi just inside this anomaly will help them survive until a cure is found.
The away team's survey uncovers several unique and previously unrecorded anomalies, but none of them have the time-slowing properties the sick Founders and Xindi need.
