Your crewmate follows Kamala and ends up in Ten Forward. She dines and drinks alone, but you manage to have an ale with Klingon Ambassador General Korrd as you surveil her. Nothing untoward happens, which raises questions about Siranna's accuracy.	Your crewmate is caught lurking around Captain Picard's quarters where Kamala is staying. Worf's security detail sternly advises them to move along or face questioning.
A Simple Observation			AND	AND		Follow Siranna to see whether she has any contact with the Romulans. This would prove that Kamala's information is more truthful.	Your crewmate follows Siranna for awhile and then sees her pulled aside angrily by a Romulan Ambassador, Caithlin Dar. Siranna is clearly being menaced by this Romulan, which makes her information suspect.	After a short while of being followed by your crewmate, Siranna clearly experiences a startle reaction and can tell she is being followed. She immediately retreats into her quarters, where no further information can be gleaned.
Checking, 1, 2, 3						Contact Siranna's home world, citing routine background checks for everyone on board the Enterprise during the talks. Ask them about Siranna.	The Kelpien communications officer, who is waiting to hear from Siranna, eagerly asks you if you have any information yet about whether the Romulans will be leaving their sacred temple anytime soon. This is... odd.	The Kelpien communications officer refuses to speak with you, and seems like he is under some kind of duress.
How Are You Feeling?			AND	AND		Stating routine security concerns, ask Kamala about the mindset of the talk participants to see what she says about her empathic impressions. Ask specifically about Vreenak, a Romulan Ambassador not on the Enterprise, to test her.	Kamala says that everyone's mental states are positive and on the level, but notices the error and says that no one named Vreenak is on the Enterprise. This suggests that Kamala is operating on the level, as it calls Siranna's account into question.	Kamala says that it would be unethical for her to comment on this, and asks that she be left alone.
Moving with the Rhythms			AND	AND		Ask Siranna if Doctor Crusher can study her biorhythms in order to put her recent startle response into context and understand it better. This may help reveal whether it was genuine.	Doctor Crusher says that startle responses in Kelpiens often release trace amounts of amino acids in their system that can remain for hours. Siranna has no such traces in her system, calling her story into question.	Doctor Crusher can find no medical reason to conduct these tests, so politely declines.
Quiz Show	AND	AND	AND			Question Siranna about her experience and about the Romulans, to see whether there are any holes in her story that might suggest she isn't telling the truth.	Siranna not only words her answers differently than she originally said, but visibly stiffens when she is asked if she knows Romulan Ambassador Tomalak. It's clear now that she is the one who is hiding something.	Siranna experiences another startle reaction while being questioned. It is uncertain whether this means that she is hiding something or whether being questioned is intimidating her.
Startling News	AND	AND	AND			Research the Kelpien startle response to see if the findings can provide any information about whether or not Siranna is being truthful with her story.	The Kelpien startle response involves pupil dilation. An examination of the bridge footage from when Siranna approached Worf, magnified, shows no such dilation.	No additional information is evident to suggest either that Siranna was lying or that she was telling the truth.
You're a Hack			AND	AND		Hack into Siranna's communications to see whether there has been anything that might contradict her story.	There are several transmissions between Siranna and Romulan Ambassador Livara, originating from the Kaminar system where Romulans would not typically be found. This is suspicious.	Your crew finds nothing untoward in Siranna's communications. If anything is there, it's been deleted or heavily coded.

A Table in the Presence of Mine Enemies			AND	AND		Prepare a surprise welcome banquet for the Klingon and Romulan guests aboard the Enterprise in advance of the talks, which Captain Picard will need to attend to be a good host. This will keep him away from Kamala so that she cannot influence him.	The banquet festivities, which last long into the night, go a long way toward establishing goodwill between the Klingons and the Romulans, and Captain Picard thanks you for your initiative. He will also not be influenced by Kamala.	Captain Picard invites Kamala to join him as his guest at the banquet.
A Three Hour Tour			AND	AND		Insist on personally giving Kamala a detailed tour of the Enterprise, in the name of being a good host. This will occupy her and keep her from influencing Captain Picard.	Kamala thoroughly enjoys her tour of the Enterprise and thanks you sincerely for your time.	Kamala is completely bored out of her mind hearing about all the features of the Enterprise, and soon asks to return to Captain Picard's quarters.
Detective Agency	AND	AND	AND			Write a new Dixon Hill holodeck program for Captain Picard, then see if he wants to take a break from stressful preparations for a couple of hours. This will keep him distracted and away from Kamala, so that she cannot influence him.	You and Captain Picard both have a wonderful time on the holodeck playing the newest Dixon Hill program, and he thanks you warmly for the respite.	Captain Picard thanks you sincerely for the program, but says he is too busy to play it right now and will definitely do so after the talks have concluded.
Health Check				OR	OR	Escort Kamala to sick bay for a "standard medical examination being given to all guests aboard the Enterprise" in advance of the talks. This will keep her busy and away from Captain Picard so that she cannot influence him.	During the examination, it is revealed that Kamala's nutrient levels are a bit off, and she is treated with a cocktail of vitamin supplements. Not only have you kept her from influencing Captain Picard, but you've improved her health!	Kamala refuses the exam and asks to speak with Mister Worf to complain about how invasive this security policy is.
On That Note			AND	AND		Collect historical notes on prior talks with the Klingons and Romulans, and compile them into a large briefing that will help Captain Picard be a more effective moderator, and keep him busy reading them and therefore away from Kamala's influence.	Captain Picard thanks you for this proactive approach, sure that understanding the past and its mistakes will help him facilitate a better outcome at the talks. He takes the notes into his ready room and settles in for a long read.	Captain Picard thanks you for your assistance, but feels like he is already as prepared as he can possibly be, to facilitate the talks. He returns to his quarters where Kamala is waiting for him.
Safe and Sound			AND	AND		Ask Captain Picard to help you and Mister Worf review and finalize the security plans for the talks. This will beef up security, and will also keep Captain Picard out of Kamala's influence for awhile.	Captain Picard points out a small hole in the security plans, which you all strategize to remedy. Not only has Captain Picard been kept away from Kamala's influence, but you've managed to improve security in an unexpected way.	Captain Picard says that he places full faith in your collective abilities to handle security, as he is currently busy preparing for the talks.
The Planetarium			AND	AND		Invite Captain Picard to the stellar cartography lab to review potential trade routes through Romulan and Klingon airspaces, in advance of the talks. This will help prepare him for the meetings as well as keep him out of Kamala's influence.	Captain Picard is very grateful that you have suggested a visit to the stellar cartography lab, as he hadn't thought to do it himself. He agrees that this information, presented more visually, will be extraordinarily helpful.	While he thanks you, Captain Picard feels that he is already well aware of the potential trade routes that will be in play during the talks. He prefers to return to his quarters.
Turning in Homework	AND	AND	AND			Ask Captain Picard to help assemble relevant strategy files for these talks that can be given to Starfleet for diplomacy classes. This will help the cadets there understand negotiation preparations as well as keep him out of Kamala's influence.	Captain Picard is happy to mentor young cadets. You spend the next several hours deciding what documents are shareable and putting together an impressive case study for Starfleet. On top of that, the Captain has been kept away from Kamala.	Captain Picard says that it would be best to do this after the talks have concluded, so that the cadets will get to see process documents from beginning to end. He thanks you and heads back to his quarters.

Being Disruptive			AND	AND		Do a sweep for any Klingon or Romulan disruptors aboard the Enterprise, to see whether either party has violated the no weapons rule.	The scan reveals two Klingon disruptors aboard the Enterprise. One is a collector's item belonging to Worf. The other would have to be aboard illegally. This suggests Kamala was rightly concerned and that there likely is a threat from the Klingons.	The scan is inconclusive, so there's no telling whether there are or are not disruptors illegally aboard the Enterprise.
Dinner with Friends	AND	AND	AND			Invite Kamala to dinner with Counselor Troi, and ask Troi for her thoughts about the Klingons and the Romulans afterward.	After dinner, Counselor Troi says that she agrees with Siranna's claim that Kamala is deeply conflicted and hiding something. Kamala appears to have fear toward the Klingon delegation, but none toward the Romulans.	Counselor Troi is too busy to go to dinner with you and Kamala, but you have a lovely time.
Eyes Everywhere	AND	AND	AND			Have security surveil the Romulan Ambassador Vreenak and the Klingon Ambassador Klang, to see if either of them is acting in a manner that bodes ill for the upcoming talks. If anything is amiss, then Kamala's information is true.	The footage of the Romulan team is nondescript, but the footage of the Klingon team reveals Klang sneaking around and speaking in hushed tones with the other Klingons. This behavior reads as suspicious, and suggests the Klingons may be up to no good.	There are too many members of the delegation to surveil properly while also maintaining appropriate security levels on the ship. Therefore, Worf does not agree to this plan.
Higher Intelligence			AND	AND		Seek Romulan intelligence on the Klingon delegation at the talks, to assess possible threats from the Klingons, while Worf volunteers to do the same with the Klingons. Any threats that arise will prove that Kamala is right.	Romulan Ambassador Kimara Cretak reveals that their monitoring of Klingon communications suggests as assassination plot of some sort to take place during the talks, but they don't have specifics.	Romulan Ambassador Kimara Cretak is mistrustful of the approach, and will not assist with any intelligence.
Now You See Me				OR	OR	Using Romulan stealth technology, develop a personal cloaking device, and tail the Klingons to see if there is anything untoward going on.	Your crewmate is present when Ambassador Kell cautions one of his guards against acting too quickly during the session, but to wait until Captain Picard is leaving the conference room. This ominous exchange suggests that Kamala is rightly concerned.	Your crewmate's personal cloaking device fails and they suddenly appear while standing in a room full of Klingons.
Reading Her Diary			AND	AND		Hack into Kamala's personal log to see if she has mentioned anything about the Klingons. If so, it might suggest that she is on the level with any concerns she has about the upcoming talks and that there might be a Klingon threat to the proceedings.	Kamala's logs reveal she is afraid of the Klingon Ambassador Kamarag. This suggests that Kamala may in fact know about some kind of Klingon threat to the talks, or even toward Captain Picard.	There isn't anything in Kamala's logs about the Klingons or the Romulans, but you learn some embarrassing and very personal details about Captain Picard that you wish you were ignorant of.
Tea Time			AND	AND		Have tea with Captain Picard and casually ask him about Kamala and the upcoming talks. With any luck, he'll share any concerns that she has raised about the talks.	Captain Picard does confide that Kamala seems to be preoccupied by something, and feels bad that she seems unable to completely enjoy her visit. This suggests that Siranna's information is correct, and that the talks may be in jeopardy.	Captain Picard gets irritatedby questions about Kamala, feeling that they are inappropriately personal. The rest of tea time can only be described as quiet and highly awkward.
To Tell the Truth			AND	AND		Question Siranna more closely about her startle reaction to Kamala, and ask Doctor Crusher to study her biorhythms as she answers. This could both provide more information, and verify Siranna's truthfulness.	Siranna's biorhythms match perfectly with the information she gave, and she has no problem wth Dr. Crusher needing to do whatever might be necessary to verify her story. This information all supports the idea that Siranna is telling the truth.	Siranna's biorhythms are inconclusive, because she gets upset when thinking about the feeling she experienced on the elevator.
