Summary
- A key part of Star Trek Timelines is fixing the distorted timelines that pop up across the galaxy
- To do that, players will participate in conflicts, resolving matters through peaceful means, or else
- Conflicts begin with players selecting their crew
- Looking at the mission path, players need to decide who is best for the conflict
- Each character is good in at least one skill: Diplomacy, Science, Security, Command, Engineering, Medicine
- Even if a character's skills aren't amazing, they can be improved by levelling up, or fusing characters with extra copies of themselves
- In each conflicts, players are faced with choices. These can take players down a different path, leading to different challenges
- Need to balance using the best team members with the upcoming challenges
- Could end up with a Command and Diplomacy challenge with no crew skilled in Command or Diplomacy
- Can continue the conflict even if some challenges are failed
- Failing the last challenge will end the conflict, and players will have to start again
- Skills and traits come into play when determining whether a player wins a challenge or not
- Players can gain crew experience, credits, equipment and other items by finishing conflicts
- Completing conflicts is a key way of improving crew
