Keiko O'Brien asks you to check in on a colleague of hers working in the organic ships program. No one has heard from him in awhile and she fears he may have been infected.
|
Your team finds the botanist dealing with an organic ship prototype that has gained sentience and has locked its "creator" inside until he can settle all of its philosophical issues. You manage to disable the ship's defenses and free the botanist.
|
Your away team finds the botanist trapped inside his own creation, now having gained sentience. When the ship asks you for the meaning of life and a member of your crew responds with "42", the vessel begins firing on you for mocking it.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers

A highly-decorated Starfleet admiral enlists your help, informing you that the commander of a nearby space station has begun acting erratically. He believes something else may be going on under the surface and asks you to investigate.
|
You speak with the commander, who informs you his "old friend" has been using every possible sign of incompetency to take his position, including parasite infestation. The commander reluctantly submits to a test for parasites and is cleared.
|
While investigating, you are confronted by the commander. When a member of your away team brings up the word "parasites" he throws you off the space station in a fit of rage.

It Came From Outer Space

When a rash of unusual and even violent behavior is reported among a group of Federation school children recently returning to Earth, you are sent to investigate the cause.
|
Your away team learns the children were touring one of the organic ship research facilities and were infected with the parasites. You safely remove the parasites.
|
When you visit the several impacted families, you are greeted by the same glass-eyed stares and flat assurances of "everything is just fine". Your away team concedes that, yes, everything is just fine.
|
Night of the Creeps

The parasitic invasion has put a damper on Starfleet research into organic ships. In the hopes of anticipating disputes, one scientist asks you to help his research into other similar roadblocks for organic vessels.
|
Combing various archives, your team identifies at least fifty breeds of galactic lifeforms that may pose a threat to an organic ship. While the researcher is overwhelmed, he thanks you, insisting that this will guide his work moving forward.
|
While experimenting with known parasites and similar lifeforms, a member of your crew is bitten and injected with a lethal venom. You rush them to sickbay and suspend the research.

State of Mind

Tam Elbrun has agreed to communicate with a group of removed parasites, but Deanna Troi is concerned, so she asks you to oversee the situation.
|
The parasites attempt to exploit Tam Elbrun's psychic sensitivity, but you are able to ground him. He learns they want to overrun the galaxy, but Tam suspects they may have actually picked up this desire from feeding off of Species 8472 for so long.
|
During the interrogation of the parasites, something changes in Tam. it seems the parasites recognized his psychic sensibilities and have taken over his mind.

Strange Bedfellows

Despite their stated intent to merely watch the parasites decimate the galaxy, Picard wants to make another attempt at an alliance with Species 8472 and enlists your help.
|
Your away team sets up a meeting with several vetted Starfleet diplomats. While Species 8472 refuses the alliance, they are swayed enough to agree to halt their advance on Federation territory...for now.
|
During the meeting, Species 8472 realizes several of the Starfleet diplomats are infected with parasites and the meeting quickly turns violent.
|
The Fog

San Francisco is experiencing an ongoing fog so thick, it is making even the healthiest of residents unwell. Investigate the fog.
|
Donning heavy-duty breathing apparatuses, your away team finds several parasite-controlled Starfleet personnel adjusting weather control devices to make the air in San Francisco as moist and dense as possible to match fluidic space.
|
Your away team finds they cannot spend long enough on the Earth's surface to even begin to find out what is going on.
|
The Hidden

Federation doctors and medical scientists want to study victims of the parasites before, during, and after removal. Your away team is requested to help and ensure everyone makes it through the experiments safe and sound.
|
All goes well and the doctors are able to come up with mitigation strategies to ensure that no ill effects remain after a parasite is removed.
|
One of the patients, still under the control of a parasite, become‘s'violent and attacks the doctors working on him. Though you are able to subdue him, members of your team are taken to sickbay.
