Medicine Luther Sloan enlists your aid in gathering some intel on the past bonds between the Dominion and the Son'a, as well as how these bonds came to be soured. He hopes it may provide some insight into the current situation. While the Son'a seem primed to provide a thorough defense if engaged directly, your away team manages to hack into their communications logs. While nothing is stated explicitly, signs of a rising lust for power are scattered throughout the logs. DIALOGUE FAIL

Luther Sloan enlists your crew in a mission to research the production of ketracel-white–and how the Federation can set up their own ketracel-white production facilities. While the exact recipe for ketracel-white is still elusive, the possibility that, should the Federation desire it, such facilities would be feasible seems higher than before. Your away team struggles to obtain any substantial information on the production of ketracel-white.

Security When a Federation outpost near the Beta Quadrant is attacked, Malcolm Reed enlists your help, suspicious that it may be the Jem'Hadar, acting at the behest of the Son'a. Your away team manages to fight off the offensive Jem'Hadar vessel and secure the outpost, helping the injured. As they flee, your crew members notice that the Jem'Hadar are heading back toward Son'a space. Your away team pursues the Jem'Hadar but they manage to evade you. Interestingly enough, they were headed for neither the Beta or Gamma Quadrant.

A Section 31 away team has found a shuttlepod departing a Son'a vessel with an injured Jem'Hadar inside. They enlist your aid in getting him well enough to give them some much needed intel. Your chief medical officer manages to get the Jem'Hadar ketracel-white and get him well-enough that he can talk. He is hesitant to talk, only grumbling that the Son'a have no respect for "the order of things." DIALOGUE FAIL

Your crew infiltrates the camp and speaks with the prisoners, who speak of the Son'a's assault on their homeworlds, rather than this sort of public show of force. Though Bashir worries for the prisoners, your team is forced to leave them behind. Your away team attempts to infiltrate the labor camp, but is captured by the Son'a in the process.

Diplomacy Several Starfleet higher-ups have expressed concerns that, in spite of the role the Romulans played in the Dominion War, they might be investigating the Jem'Hadar for nefarious purposes. Reveal the Romulans' true intentions. While it seems the Romulans have done their own research into ketracel-white production, the overwhelming amount of evidence seems to point to pride and typical Romulan paranoia as the incentive behind the Romulans' interest in the conflict at hand. Your away team tries to investigate the Romulans from the shadows, but their elusive and distrustful nature makes finding anything of significance difficult.

Malcolm Reed informs you that a Starfleet security team sent to monitor and protect the Ba'ku from any potential attacks by the Son'a has been out of contact for over a week. Fly to Ba'ku and investigate the situation. Your crew reaches Ba'ku. While the people generally seem to be safe, you find the dead bodies of the security team, apparently poisoned. All signs point to Ru'afo's handiwork. It seems increased security on the Ba'ku planet will be necessary. Your crew reaches Ba'ku but cannot find the missing security team. The citizens claim to know nothing of the team nor their fates, but the people seem afraid.

Luther Sloane is looking for a Starfleet crew that can handle a delicate task–a Section 31 operative who had infiltrated the Son'a has gone silent. Rumors are circulating that he may have defected. Find him and if necessary, eliminate him. Your away team manages to locate the Section 31 operative fleeing an onslaught from several Son'a ships. He asserts his talk of siding with the Son'a was only to gain their confidence, but his fate ultimately lies in the hands of Section 31. DIALOGUE FAIL

Security Ruwon suggests that this departure by the Jem'Hadar could be a false alarm sounded by the Dominion in order to get the UFP's sympathy. Though reluctant to trust a Starfleet crew, he'd rather risk your crew during an investigation than his own men. Your away team manages to do some reconnaissance on the Dominion without arousing any suspicion, but all evidence points to their concern being genuine–the Jem'Hadar really are leaving. Your away team tries to gather intelligence on the Dominion, but is caught by one of the Founders, increasing tensions between the Dominion and the Federation.

A pair of Romulan senators come to you in secret, both suffering from Tuvan Syndrome. They aren't prepared to face their mortality just yet and enlist your efforts in perhaps studying the metaphasic radiation on Ba'ku and extrapolating a cure. While the research of your medical officers doesn't yield enough data to create a cure, a few Ba'ku who notice you studying their atmosphere invite the two senators to stay with them for a time–provided they agree to abide by the Ba'ku lifestyle. Your away team attempts to study the metaphasic radiation, but can yield no significant results and time is running out for the senators.

Higher-ups within the Tal'Shiar have expressed concerns that Koval is leaking anything they find to Section 31. Investigate the leak and mediate any resulting fall-out. Your away team learns Koval had nothing to do with the leaked information; it appears to be a frustrated member of the Reunification Movement. You manage to persuade the Tal'Shiar of Koval's innocence without outing the Resistance member. Your away team learns that it was not Koval, but a member of the Reunification Movement. However, before a motive can be established or the issue resolved, several members of the Tal'Shiar show up and take both Koval and the resistance member away.

Still, Ambassador Dar seems satisfied having given it a try. Your crew takes Ambassador Dar to meet some of the defecting Jem'Hadar, but the only response they wish to give is by firing on your vessel. She barely manage to escape with your ship in tact.

Hiren has reached out to the Dominion and is leading an anti-Federation campaign, informing them that the Son'a problem is partially the fault of the Federation. Donatra informs you, but leaves what is to be done in your hands. You approach the Dominion with your own information of how the Federation once dealt with both the Son'a and the relocation of the Ba'ku, then remind them of how the Romulans also fought against them. Your crew tries to convince the Dominion of the Romulans' history of treachery, but it seems Hiren's words have swayed them.

Seizing on the opportunity, Gul Dukat finds a captive audience aboard Deep Space Nine and begins reiterating the way the UFP once tried to force-relocate the Ba'ku. He's getting a fair amount of interest. Intervene and restore the UFP's good name. Your away team manages to convince the crowd that has gathered to hear Gul Dukat that the forced relocation was at the insistence of the Son'a and one misguided individual in Starfleet, and that ultimately the crew of the Enterprise set things right. Your away team tries to counter with the good deeds of the crew of the Enterprise, but Gul Dukat is far too convincing and has zeroed in on the fears some have about the degree on influence the Federation wields.

The Dominion have enlisted the Cardassians to find the Son'a's ketracel-white production facilities. Though the Son'a have moved their ketracel-white production facilities, your away team manages to locate several of them, though security is far too high to make any offensive maneuvers just yet.
