Weyoun contacts your crew for aid. The Dominion is investigating the wormhole from both sides to see if it is possible to connect to other points in time. But the Bajorans are suspicious and have tried to interrupt the Dominion's investigation. Your away team intervenes, easing Bajoran fears that the Dominion means any harm to the Celestial Temple while also aiding the Dominion's investigation. Your away team attempts to intervene and mitigate the conflict, but both sides refuse to budge and the Bajorans are incensed at the Federation's involvement.

Science A communication from Starfleet instructs your crew to investigate a mass of Jem'Hadar ships dropping out of warp just before a black hole and disappearing into it. Though it takes a great deal of prodding, Weyoun shares with your crew that the Founders have ordered the Jem'Hadar to explore black holes as a method of time travel. Even as you advise them of the risk, they choose to carry on. You and your crew request to discuss the matters with the Founders or the Vorta, but all of your attempts are rebuffed. According to the Dominion, this matter is none of your concern.
Keep Your Friends Close Diplomacy Command Security Medicine The Founders insist on sending a Vorta to aid with the investigation into Odo's whereabouts, but many within the UFP are hesitant. Your crew is assigned by Starfleet command to show the Vorta hospitality, as well as a watchful eye. Your crew provides the Vorta all the accommodations they could want, and what they assure is full access to the investigation. While the Vorta isn't convinced, they are satisfied with the access they are given and peacefully return to the Founders. Your crew provides hospitality to the Vorta while also keeping a watchful eye, but the Vorta is not oblivious to the lack of trust shown.

As Elizabeth Dehner is trying to lock on to Odo's position, the Founders feel that she should link with them in order to help find Odo. Dehner is, however, afraid of visiting the Gamma Quadrant and the Founders show no interest in travel. Though both sides are reluctant, your crew manages to convince Dehner to visit the Founders in their own Quadrant, with the assurance that your crew will be with her for protection if need be. Your crew tries to broker a compromise, but Dehner refuses to go through the Wormhole, having had her share of life-altering space travel.

Medicine The Dominion has little faith that Odo becoming lost in time was an innocent mistake. The Changeling Founder contacts your crew and says if it was, you'll have no trouble helping to sneak a Vorta into a nearby outpost for some reconnaissance. Your engineering team deactivates security in a Starfleet office, while your security team guides and monitors the Vorta as they search through the facility's records until they are satisfied there is no plot against Odo, or the Dominion. Your engineering team has scarcely disabled security to the Starfleet office when the Vorta disappears from sight. Your security team only locates them when they've boarded another vessel for escape--with several confidential Starfleet materials.

Command The Changeling Founder contacts you and your crew, requesting your help in an experiment. She would like to see if she can replicate the circumstances of Odo's disappearance, in order to try and retrieve him. Your science and engineering teams have studied as many security and data logs as they can from the moment when Odo disappeared and recreate the moment perfectly, but nothing happens. The Changeling Founder thanks you for trying. Your science and engineering teams study as much information as they can gather about Odo's disappearance, but it is to no avail. They aren't able to find enough information to recreate the moment he disappeared.

Science Medicine Having learned of the Prophets thanks to Bajor's proximity to the wormhole, the Founders begin pushing to use the Orb of Time to retrieve Odo. The Bajorans are horrified at such a proposition and react with outrage toward the Dominion. Meeting representatives from both sides, your crew attempts to ease the tensions between both sides. Though it is clear that the Bajorans, concerned about misuse of the Orb, will not allow it to be used this way, both sides reach an understanding. Your crew attempts to ease tensions, but tempers are flaring. The Bajorans refuse to see the Dominion as anything but sacrilegious bullies, while the Dominion see the Bajorans as impractical zealots preventing the return of one of their own.

The Dominion can manage itself. Your crew tries repeatedly to meet with the Founders. Through their silence, the message is clear: the Federation should mind its business.

Starfleet scientists have been evaluating all of their data on Changelings and possible maladies. While studying the morphogenic virus that Section 31 once infected Odo with, there seems to be a lot of information missing. Investigate the matter. A Section 31 operative speaks to you in secret, warning that as long as the Dominion is involved, such intelligence is off-limits. He does share that they have evaluated the virus and determined it is irrelevant to the current problem. Pursuing the source, they find Quark has been feeding this confidential data to his newest holosuite offering–Travel Through Time With Odo! Kes asks your crew for help in rounding up as many of the people brought to the present by temporal anomalies as possible. It takes a bit of finesse, but your crew manages not to rub too many representatives the wrong way. You send an away team to monitor the situation, but the assisting factions are insulted by the Federation's lack of good faith, in spite of what they might have said. The Department of Temporal Investigations has tasked your crew with being an "extra pair of eyes" to help investigate Odo's quarters, his office, anywhere and anything that might give a hint as to why or how he began slipping through time. As you evaluate Odo's life and work over the past several months, you are left with more questions than answers. Your crew attempts to help with the investigation, but the crew of Deep Space Nine seem personally averse. Whether because of insult that Starfleet would send in outsiders or because they're protecting something, it is hard to say.

While many are disinterested in the Changeling's plight, Kol sees it as an opportunity to obtain a leg up over the UFP--or any enemy the Empire might face.
