Quark contacts you in a panic. A batch of fictional characters have appeared in his bar and he seems especially desperate to get rid of them, despite the fact that they don't seem to pose any real threat. Investigate and assist the bartender. Your team first has trouble communicating-with the nonsensical characters, but then they apply fictional character cliches and suddenly are able to communicate. Once you send them back, you notice a holonovel in progress with Quark's name on it. The quirky batch of characters leave your team scratching their heads with their nonsensical behavior. It's confusing to encounter in real life and almost certainly the sort of thing one would criticize as poor character writing in fiction.
