Several legates doubt that a frivolous tourist resort could benefit Cardassians themselves. It would take a thorough medical briefing to convince such austere soldiers of the value of rest and relaxation. The away team demonstrates that moderate relaxation can improve Cardassians' quality of life - perhaps even extend their lifespans. Surprised but impressed, the legates withdraw their objections to the resort. Although the away team's medical arguments are compelling, they can't convince the Cardassian legates to abandon generations of austere habits for the possible health benefits of a tourist resort.

The Cardassian Ministry of Justice wants tissue samples from all resort guests, supposedly to enable background checks. Investigate the Ministry to ensure that these samples would not be used for other ends. The away team discovers that the Ministry of Justice plans to use visitors' tissue for genetic engineering. When they explain that no Federation citizens will visit under these conditions, and the Ministry agrees not to require tissue samples. The away team's investigations uncovers [sic] a few suspicious reports, but they can't get to the bottom of whatever the Ministry of Justice is planning to do with future resort visitors' tissue samples.

The Cardassian Union wants architect Tavor Kell to design the resort's central building, but his mind has been drained by years with his parasitic "muse," Onaya. Find a rejuvenating source of inspiration for Kell. The away team takes Kell on a holodeck tour of architectural wonders--including some of his own past creations. Reminded of his passion for architecture, Kell begins drafting plans for the Cardassians' resort. Nothing the away team says or shows to Kell inspires him to begin creating again. With their lead architect in a bleak, uninventive mood, the Cardassian Union may have to pick someone else for the job.

Cardassian interrogators have an infamously detailed knowledge of many species' physiology. See if you can turn their considerable experience to therapeutic resort massages instead of torture. The away team develops several relaxing massage techniques thanks to the input of Cardassian interrogators. A few of them are so delighted with the results that they begin considering a permanent career change. No matter what the away team tries, any massage based on Cardassian interrogation techniques is more painful than relaxing. Cardassian officials quickly abandon this idea for their resort.

Engineering The Cardassians want an enigma tale among their resort's holodeck programs, but since the genre requires that every suspect is always guilty, the program may not prove much of a challenge unless you can modify it. The away team reworks the backstory of several enigma tale suspects, suggesting that they may, for once, be innocent. The holodeck program's added suspense will entertain Cardassians and other guests alike. Despite hours of rewrites and tests, the enigma tale program's ending remains predictable and, for any non-Cardassians, very dull. The Cardassians will not sell many slots for this particular holodeck program.

Ferengi traders have offered to supply dabo tables for the resort at a shockingly reasonable price, but many Cardassian leaders are uninterested in this mindless game. Convince them that dabo is worth including. By the time the away team is done explaining the strategy and statistics behind dabo, the Cardassians buy several dozen tables for their resort. Perhaps dabo is not as mindless a pasttime [sic] as they had thought. The away team's discussion of the profits of gambling sounds like more Ferengi trickery to the Cardassians' ears, and they refuse to buy any dabo tables at all, leaving them with a rather bare casino.

Security Roga Danar was one of many people "enhanced" to be supersoldiers by the Angosians, only to be exiled when their war was won. There may be a home for Danar at the Augments' resort, if you can track him down. The away team finds Danar working as a mercenary on a cargo freighter. They convince the weary ex-soldier that he could have an easier life at the Augment resort as a martial arts instructor instead of a wanted vagabond. The away team begins tracking Danar on Angosia III, but they soon lose all traces of him. Even their most detailed scans are no match for a supersoldier who does not want to be found.

Stop them before they take over the resorts of Casperia Prime. The away team intercepts the rogue Augments before they can launch their attack on Casperia Prime's sunny resorts. Left with no other choice, they agree to resume working on the new Augment resort on Regula. A few of the Augments make it to Casperia Prime before the away team can capture them. Their attack wreaks havoc on many tourists' holidays, including those of several influential, displeased Starfleet officers.

Unlike his gifted Augment siblings, Udar only has one enhanced ability: his sensitive hearing. Such a talent could make him an admirable musician, if he can be persuaded to believe in himself. With the away team's encouragement, Udar develops an ear for the difficult Bajoran klavion. He is so filled with newfound confidence that he volunteers to perform an original piece at the Augments resort. The away team convinces Udar to try his hand at a few musical instruments, but he can't find his footing with any of them. Udar will be left behind as his siblings showcase their talents at the Augment resort.
Heaven on Regula Science Engineering Early tests of Project Genesis transformed a cavern on Regula into a garden paradise. Help the Augments expand the cavern network and its delicate, one-of-a-kind ecosystem to be the site of their new resort. Thanks to the away team's scientific counsel, the Augments are able to expand the resort's cavern network while still maintaining its ecosystem. Lush plants soon flourish in the new caverns just as they did in the old. As the away team helps the Augments expand the resort's cavern network, they accidentally destabilize the fragile ecosystem it holds. Construction must halt as the Augments tend to the dying greenery within.

It'll take a hardy away team to keep up with a team of Augment players. The away team's defeat of the Augment team inspires new plays for Persis' rulebook. Her new sport doesn't have a name yet, but it does have a tagline: "Even more dangerous than parrises squares!" The away team is left gasping in the dust of the Augment team's victory at Persis's new game. She begins searching for more worthy players, still hoping to finalize the game's rules before the Augment resort opens.

Several Starfleet officers are concerned that visitors to the Augment resort may be enhanced without their consent. Draw up a code of conduct to ensure that both Augments and guests treat each other respectfully. The away team's code of conduct protects guests' privacy without assuming harmful intent on the Augments' behalf. The Augments hope that having such a fair code of conduct may improve Starfleet's opinion of them. The Augments insist that the away team's charter favors their guests, while potential guests insist that it favors the Augments. No one will attend or work on the resort until it has a better code of conduct.

The brilliant but unstable Jack has asked to be a part of the Augments' new resort. He has intriguing plans for a science-themed activity center, but he'll need medical observation while he works. The away team tells Jack that if he lets them keep an eye on him, they're happy to let him work. Surprised by their honesty, he cooperates, and comes up with a beautiful, science-themed wing for the Augment resort. Jack immediately sees the away team's frequent check-ins on his project for what they are--surveillance. He becomes increasingly paranoid, and the away team is forced to return him to Starfleet for his own safety.

After insisting that his people should be ruling other races, not catering to them, Khan Noonien Singh has disappeared. The other Augments fear he may violently sabotage the resort's construction if he is not found. The away team finds Khan in a small shelter on the surface of Regula, not far from the planned resort site. It takes the entire team to subdue him, but they return him to the other Augments to be placed in custody. The away team tracks Khan to the surface of Regula, but once there, they can find no further sign of him. Construction continues at a slow pace, as the Augments wait for Khan's next move with bated breath.
