Picard, who is an xB himself, is uniquely qualified to campaign on the Borg's behalf. But Picard is naturally conflicted about defending the Borg, even if they are synthetics. Help him overcome his reservations. Your away team has successfully convinced Picard that there is an xB inside every Borg who deserves the chance to live. Convincing him that the Borg deserve to live as they are will take more time. Your away team is unable to persuade Picard to defend the Borg's right to exist. Some wounds are too deep, and some lines cannot be crossed.

Your away team has successfully convinced the xBs that having Seven take over the Borg would derail efforts to help synthetics as a whole. Your away team has failed to convince the xBs that the effort to help synthetics as a whole is more important than seeing Seven as the new Borg Queen. They continue to make future plans.

Your away team has been unable to convince the Borg to allow Hugh to work among them. They consider him a threat to the Collective.

The Borg have established a colony on a Federation world, which is now under threat of being dissolved. Help persuade Federation authorities to hold off on this action. Your away team has successfully convinced the Federation to allow the Borg sanctuary to remain undisturbed--for now. Even with your away team's assistance, Seven has been unable to locate more than one version of Icheb. It is difficult for her to know that there are other Ichebs out there, potentially suffering.

Your away team has been unable to determine whether Narissa and Narek are behind the sabotage. It has suspiciously abated--for now.

Some wonder if a mere rebranding would convince the public to support the xBs and see them as organics, not synthetics. Explore suppressing the term "xB". At the request of the xBs themselves, your away team decides to hold off on discouraging use of the term. The xBs are coming to own their past and don't want to erase it. Your away team succeeds in discouraging use of the term xB, but only as the cost of the xBs good opinion. They want to own their own story.

Augments are rightly beginning to wonder: do they count as synthetics? Work with individuals from Soji's time and your own to determine the full ramifications of a Federation-wide synthetic ban. Your away team comes to the grim conclusion that Augments would be defined as synthetics, and thus banned from the Federation. This would almost certainly trigger war. Your away team gets mired in legal and philosophical arguments, no closer to determining whether Augments would be defined as synthetics under Federation law.

Your away team tries their best, but none of the synthetics can successfully pass for Augments or pull off their trademark confidence.

Arik Soong is pleasantly surprised to learn that his descendents will continue on in the "family business," and wonders if there is some kind of synthetic element to his own ancestry promoting this interest. Soong wonders if he might correct that, with the help of a temporal anomaly. Your away team is unable to fully map Arik Soong's ancestry. Some claim that the Vorta should be considered synthetics, since so many of them are clones. Help the Dominion defend the Vorta without upending their cultural mores. Your away team has successfully secured protections for the Vorta, and helped the Dominion to see the threat a synthetic ban poses as well. Your away team's efforts have gone awry--in order to defend the Vorta, they presented them as organics, and thus "better" than synthetics. Now the Dominion is supporting the synthetic ban, too.
