Security Ba'el has decided to take a chance and speak out on behalf of the Romulans. Herself a product of a Romulan-Klingon union, she believes that reunification is more than a possibility. Ensure that Ba'el can safely reach a wider audience. Your team arranges for a speaking tour for Ba'el, including a few engagements with Klingons present. Your crew proves superior at the security detail, and other than some damaged Klingon pride, Ba'el is able to safely share her experiences. Your team arranges a speaking tour for Ba'el, but at the first speaking engagement, a Klingon audience member tries to assault Ba'el, enraged that her mother would rather remain a prisoner than die with honor.

Your away team manages to obtain the requisite test prototype and deliver it to the Duras sister, who in turn deliver the intel–namely, a recorded, scripted speech from Sela herself. DIALOGUE FAIL

Chancellor Azetbur of the Klingon High Council has her doubts about the Romulans' true objectives, but she admits she's been wrong before. Facilitate a discussion between Azetbur and members of the Romulan Senate. While your team is unable to persuade Sela herself to attend, your crew mediates a meeting between Azetbur and members of the Romulan Senate. She questions them and though she is unable to find any direct cause for doubt, she still seems hesitant... Your away team attempts to set up a meeting between Azetbur and members of the Senate, but the entire affair is messy. Azetbur storms off, growling about honor and what you think may be Klingon expletives.

Security Throughout his career, Kor has had plenty of run-ins with the Romulans–and he doesn't buy this reunification business! He does agree to help find the truth using his experience, if your crew can beat him in a holosuite run of his past victories! Your away team performs admirably in the holosuite, handing Kor a crushing victory for his trouble. Grumbling, he agrees to help you find the truth behind the Romulans' claimed desire for reunification. Your away team is utterly crushed during the simulation and Kor's smug laughter and prolonged gloating show no signs of dying down anytime soon.

Diplomacy Chairman Koval is willing to do a little digging for you and your away team, in exchange for doing a favor for him. He wants you and your crew to help him discredit a Romulan political adversary and to be discrete about it. You and your away team are able to cull together a great deal of "evidence" to discredit Koval's political adversary and lose them their seat in Senate. Koval returns to fulfill his end of the bargain, but says he believes Sela's desire is genuine. You and your crew are unable to cook up anything convincing enough to lose Koval's adversary their seat in the Senate. Not only that, but your team's efforts have attracted the attention of the Tal Shiar.

Luther Sloan doesn't buy it for a second that the Romulans truly desire reunification, and he's out to prove it to the Federation. Help Sloan compile the damning evidence needed to wake the Federation up. In spite of your away team's covert attempts to acquire evidence, the most your team can gain from the present is the lingering uncertainty of certain members of the Senate and military. Everything else is fragments of the past. Your away team is unable to gain anything but the company line from the Romulans. All that leaves are past incidents to try and persuade the Federation with.

Security Section 31 has intel on the Romulan-Vulcan reunification movement from Ambassador Spock, but they enlist you and your crew to pay a visit to members of the underground movement and see if they have what it takes to support a real reunification. Your away team visits and speaks with several members of the underground Romulan reunification movement. Your away team relays to Section 31 their enthusiasm and depth of knowledge of the way Vulcans have lived following Surak's teachings. You and your away team are unable to locate the members of the Romulan reunification movement. One of your crew members suggests that they may be unsure that they can truly trust your team.

Security The Romulans have had an underground movement vying for change for awhile, and now is the time they are needed most. Provide security for the members of the movement to ensure no backsliding from the Tal Shiar as they address the people of Romulus. The members of the underground movement have several opportunities to speak to the Romulan people, all of which go on without incident. Whether that's because your presence is a deterrent or because there was no danger to begin with is unclear. As the members of the Romulan underground movement begin to speak, they are paid a visit by the Tal Shiar. Though your away team assures them they have the full support of the UFP behind them, the members are too afraid to try again.

Your away team is able to set up a low-key engagement for D'Tan, hoping to avoid catching the attention of the Tal Shiar. While the Romulans seemed unwilling to ask questions, some of them seemed to listen with interest. Your away team is unable to safely establish a speaking opportunity for D'Tan. It is clear that the interference has also gotten him in the Tal Shiar's line of sight.
