With Dominion ships affected by the displacement, the Founders wonder if interacting with the Alpha Quadrant is wise, especially if it means unwanted attention from Q. Starfleet asks you to convince them not to cut off access to the Gamma Quadrant. Your away team persuades the Founders not to close access to the Gamma Quadrant. Their fears are abated at seeing how much

work has been put into resolving the crisis so far, though they make very clear their unfavorable opinions regarding the Q.

Despite your away team's attempts to convince them, the Founders are still gravely concerned about the danger a continued relationship with the Alpha Quadrant places their people in.

Your away team locates the ship and learns that the Founders' desperation was because it was a science vessel used during the

war to find the cure for the morphogenic virus, thus containing classified information about the Founders' genetic makeup.

Founders on a molecular level. Eventually, the Founders are restored.
