A Maquis raider has stolen a canister of Omega molecules from one of Hippocrates Noah's laboratories, but now the molecules are beginning to destabilize. Board the ship and stabilize them before it's too late.
The away team tunes the containment field to the Omega molecule's own resonance frequency of 1.68 terahertz. This stabilizes the molecules for now, long enough for the Maquis to get them somewhere safer.
Unable to stabilize the molecules in time, the away team resorts to transporting them through a nearby temporal anomaly. The Maquis raider is saved, but the Maquis have one less source of Omega molecules.

Thrown from his own time, Isaac Newton views the temporal crisis as an incredible research opportunity. An intellectual debate might convince him to join the Maquis research team—but only if you can win.
The away team's well-reasoned arguments convince Newton that the Maquis are serious about harnessing the Omega molecule as a power source. Never one to turn down an intellectual puzzle, he agrees to help.
The away team's arguments misrepresent some of the fundamental laws of physics, leaving Newton convinced that neither they nor the Maquis would be capable of stabilizing the Omega molecule.

If the Maquis are to stabilize the Omega molecule, they'll need proper research facilities. Unfortunately, many of their leaders would rather use their resources to fight Cardassians. Convince Calvin Hudson to lend a hand.
Calvin Hudson is reluctant at first, but the away team convinces him that Omega molecule research will do more for the Maquis in the long run than weapons will. He agrees to send what resources he can.
Calvin Hudson likes the idea of a near-infinite energy source controlled by the Maquis, but he considers it a pipe-dream, and a dangerous one. He refuses to divert resources towards Omega molecule research.

Mirror Bareil Antos has managed to steal some intel on the location of Hippocrates Noah and his personal research, but he'll only sell it to the Maquis for more than they can afford. Convince him to lower his price.
The away team sees right through Mirror Bareil's attempts to swindle them. They haggle him down to a reasonable price, and his intel gives the Maquis a valuable lead on Hippocrates Noah's research.
Mirror Bareil agrees to the away team's deal easily--too easily. The datapad of intel that he gives the Maquis leads to nothing but a dead end. By the time they discover this, Bareil is long gone.

Several Maquis scientists have a bold theory that the plasma storms of the Badlands could actually help stabilize Omega molecules. Weather a Badlands storm and collect the data they need to test this theory.
The away team's findings are preliminary, but they suggest that the electromagnetic fluctuations of a Badlands storm, if replicated in a contained chamber, could help stabilize Omega particles for safe use.
The away team's sloppy piloting leads them right into the vortex of a plasma storm. They escape injured but alive, with no useable data to offer the Maquis scientists.

Charles "Trip" Tucker III has had a painful life in the mirror universe under the Terran Empire. Convince this capable engineer that he would have a much more comfortable time working for the Maquis.
At first, Mirror Tucker is offended by the idea of defecting to the Maquis, but the more the away team talks about the comfort and freedom such a life could offer, the more he warms to it. He accepts their offer.
Mirror Tucker may be bitter about his service in the Terran Empire, but he sees the away team's suggestion that he could defect to the Maquis as a personal insult. There will be no changing his mind.

The energy-based Paxans can manipulate energy on a level that is beyond any engineers' abilities. Persuade some members of this xenophobic species that the Maquis's research efforts deserve their help.
The away team argues that as beings of energy themselves, the Paxans would benefit more than most from the vast energy a stable Omega molecule could provide, and they agree to offer their insight to the Maquis.
Something the away team said during negotiations must have offended the Paxans, because they wake up several lightyears from their last location with no memory of the negotiation itself.

The Maquis have located a research facility where the Terran Empire is synthesizing Omega molecules, but they'll need every ship at their disposal to raid it. Get their ragtag fleet of fighters ready for battle.
The away team puts blood, sweat, and tears into repairing the Maquis's battered ships, but once they're through, the fleet handily defeats the Terran Empire lab's defenses and takes their supply of Omega molecules.
The away team can barely get a few of the Maquis's fighters up and running. With most of their ships still in dire need of repairs, they have to call off the strike on the Terran Empire research facility.

When one version of the physicist Ketteract synthesized an Omega molecule, it had fatal consequences for him. Track down a living version of Ketteract and persuade him to continue his research with the Maquis.
Ketteract is afraid to repeat the mistake that another him once made, but when the away team describes how dedicated the Maquis is to researching the Omega molecule, and how careful, he agrees to join them.
Ketteract considers himself fortunate that he never became involved with the Omega molecule in his own timeline, and knowing what happened when one version of him did, he's not willing to start now.

A Maquis spy in the Terran Empire thinks she can get several Maquis into a research base if they can pass as officers. Get Captain Kirk, who has seen the Empire's ways up close, to prepare them for the role.
The away team and Captain Kirk coach the Maquis in the Terran Empire's militaristic ways. The undercover agents make it into the research base without blowing their cover, and soon return with Omega molecules.
Having seen first-hand just how dangerous the Terran Empire can be, Kirk objects to the plan of sending undercover agents to one of their bases, even though he has no particular fondness for the Maquis.
