While wounds from Wolf 359 linger, it is the Federation's decision to work with the Borg in more recent years that has led to suspicion and outrage from other factions - and questions about whether this alliance is as recent as the Federation claims. While it takes some convincing on the Borg side, your away team grants the concerned parties the opportunity to conduct their own inquiry, ultimately allaying their concerns. Your away team's insistence on defending the Federation-Borg alliance has led to such great suspicion, your team is forced to submit themselves for evaluation to ensure they are not drones themselves.

Members of the Dominion are demanding a trial after a hack of Deep Space Nine's systems reveals information that suggests Starfleet violated a host of treaties and agreements during the Dominion War. Investigate. Your away team investigates and finds the hack came from a Vorta visiting the station, one who may have added or embellished some details. Still, Starfleet higher-ups agree to meet with those from the Dominion in order to address any concerns. Your away team's attempts to run interference and persuade the Dominion in the Federation's favor has only intensified their concern.

They learn not only the truth of space travel, but of their ultimate fate and demand justice. Your team meets with members of that ship and learns they did not believe the result would be extinction, thus leading them to prioritize the Prime Directive. You share your findings with the group, then help them to settle in a new home. Your away team's attempts to gain answers only seem to reopen and deepen old wounds.

Early Starfleet ships that departed after the NX-01 but didn't get the same amount of attention have come for their due, insisting that in their haste to deploy other ships, safety evaluations were neglected that led to injury and death. The other factions quickly realize how much trouble frequent Q visits can be when Q himself appears and begins causing trouble. Your attempts to convince those concerned leads them to seek out their own immortal allies. Q is amused by the chaos.

Trouble brews from within the Federation as certain legacy members of the Vulcan High Council, now here in the present, have called into question the actions of many human captains over the years. Address their concerns. Following an investigation, your away team meets with Vulcan higher-ups past and present and addresses their concerns. The Federation's centuries of space exploration have not been without missteps, which led them to breach clearly established boundaries and borders. Some factions that have established those boundaries insist the UFP answer for their trespasses. Your away team convinces higher-ups to give their detractors an opportunity to make their concerns heard. The show of goodwill does help to build some galactic goodwill. Your away team's insistence that Federation higher-ups sit down with their detractors only makes the higher-ups become more stubborn.

Your team reviews the system data for the ambassador's language and proves all data collected was from regular public conversation and not from private or privileged communication. Your away team is unable to convince the ambassador of the safety of the translator.

Citizens of a Cardassian colony have recently fallen ill in large numbers. The heads of the colony are convinced Maquis colonists are responsible, by poisoning the water. Elim Garak asks you to investigate. Your investigation reveals that the Cardassians had poisoned the Maquis food supply, hence the suspicion that this outbreak was retaliatory. But a study of the water finds the culprit is actually pollution from a Cardassian facility. Your attempts to investigate are impeded by the Cardassians.

Issues of immunity are still in discussion, but the Maquis are grateful that their concerns may finally be heard.
